Windows 8, and 8.1 are a nightmare. Had to battle with finding and then updating drivers for nearly every component. Save yourself some time and go directly to Intel for most updates. If you have any designs to downgrade to Windows 7, this laptop is NOT compatible (there are at least 4 components that do not have Windows 7 drivers). So, avoid this laptop if you need 7. If you are happy with Windows 8, enjoy!

Its a Dell product so the name speaks for the brand.

Love the laptop but the windows 8 tiles aren't particularly my favorite system.

Repeatedly I read that this machine is "lighting fast" - don't believe the hype. We actually bought 2 machines - the 15" and the 17" - and both are sluggish. For us, there's no advantage to the touch screen - Windows 8 is unimpressive - And have I mentioned that the machines are slow? Another design oddity is that the letters on the backlit keyboard are white; which makes it difficult to see the keys in certain lighting. Additionally, the touchpad keeps randomly changing the zoom in/out ratio of our screens... that's always a treat. There are several more irritations with these machines, but these I've listed are the big ones based on our experience with them. If not for the fact that we already bought, installed, registered, etc., the MS Office Suite for both machines, we would probably take them back and exchange them for something faster. Heck, thanks to these sluggish boxes and Windows 8, we're actually considering converting to Apple. On the short list of good attributes, the machines seem to be put together well, the speakers put out decent sound, and the screen has good quality image.

The only thing I missed was this ,and other new laptops don't have a CD-DV, blue ray or mp3 drive. So I bought the USB plugin drive. Now all is well Thanks Ken.

I like the computer. It was easy to set up and learn to use. It is fast , has. great picture and sound.

Slim and Light weight My husband just set it up! He loves it.

So far very happy despite what bb sales rep said about the dell. I have used dell products for years and gave always been happy. Love the new window technology and touch screen as I far.

Too much problem for user, not eaze to find what you want, the keyboard to down without move.

This keyboard is hard to get used to. It is also VERY hard to read as the font is so small.

The item is very old. It was three year old laptop. But sold me as a just a month laptop. The display was good at store and not working exactly after 15 days. The service is very bad. No response for issue. No warranty. All my 609 usd got wasted. Feeling depressed out of this purchase. Again never buy any other item in bestbut.

This literally is the best laptop I have ever used. It is built tough and I actually enjoy my time using it. I love the Dell brand and this laptop just reaffirmed my dedication.

Purchased this laptop because I wanted to up grade to a laptop that allowed me to use HDMI. I watch a lot of online bible studies and now I can watch from my TV

Love my computer was a great deal and works great just doesnt have a dvd/cd drive but other then that no complaints

After years of saving and looking I chose the Dell Laptop Computer. It is everything I need. I am very pleased.

The Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series is a perfect home computer for me. At $900, I feel like we got a great deal.

When I bought this laptop, I was a very happy man! It could handle everything I did on it, and worked well. However, not even a year after I bought the thing, the bottom right hinge tore away from the screen, ripping the screws out with plastic still coating the screw threads. I wasn't happy, but I fixed the issue, and went on with my life. Not even 4 months after the first hinge tore way, the bottom left part of the screen separated, also tearing the hinge screws off. Now, I was careful after the first issue when opening the laptop, and would always grasp on the affected areas to reduce stress to the hinges. Apparently, that wasn't good enough. This laptop was great and deserved 5 stars, until the shoddy craftsmanship showed its face.

Computer works very well and good performance but continues to drop wireless connection in Windows 8 all the time. Problem with Intel keeping up with the Windows updates. Because of the software issues, can not recommend the computer with Windows 8. Need a fix as lots of internet chat about the issue.
