After two days of use, I am very happy with my monitor. The picture quality is excellent; with great color, brightness, and image clarity. I've got it connected to a MacBook via a DVI cable with Mini-DisplayPort adapter and the picture is just amazing. The minimalist design is great too, making sure that the picture is the focus without distracting you with flashy lights and buttons and logos sticking out all over the place. Only the power indicator is visible and it glows white (amber when idle). I really like how the controls are subtly embedded into the frame of the monitor on the bottom right corner, and the whole screen is framed by a slick glossy piano-black outline. The viewing angles are not quite as good as advertised - I've found that you can view it up to about 45 degrees in any direction (including up/down) before you start to see color distortion, but this isn't really an issue since you can tilt it up or down and well, it's a computer monitor - it's right in front of me on my desk. There's ample screen real-estate for viewing multiple windows open side-by-side with nice, even, uniform lighting all across. I watched Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (lots and lots of low-light scenes) in a dark room, at night, and from a distance of about eight feet the image looked outstanding with impressive greyscale performance. The backlighting is very bright - I've got it at about 55% and it's more than enough for my bedroom lighting conditions. Given the viewing angles though, if this were going to be part of something like an entertainment center, or any setup where movies were the priority, I'd get something more powerful with better viewing angles, perhaps a dedicated LCD TV. If I'd known you could get a monitor this good for the price they're asking, I would have bought it much sooner.

I've been using this monitor for work every day for 3 months now for design work (graphics, 3D, video and print). Don't play games, so can't commant on that area. Sharp looking images, great contrast. The best is the 1920x1080 resolution. I can fit everything nicely on the screen without burning my face up with 2+ monitors. I hate to disappoint, but can't write anything that I'd dislike about it. Bought it for 240, but now that it's on sale for 180...gosh, you can't beat that!

This is the biggest monitor I have ever had and one of the sharpest too. The image quality is fantastic, especially on its highest setting, 1920x1080@60Hz. I play computer games a lot and this puts you right in the middle of them! It was an easy install and have had no problems with it for the 4 months I have used it. It has a very sleek black design and is very modern, it goes nicely with my XPS 430.

I replaced a Samsung 19" LCD that died after 12 months of use. This monitor has an excellent display and the native resolution (1920 x 1080) is crisp and bright. I'm using it with an NVIDIA 9400T PCIe and it's lightening fast with MMORPG's such as Runescape (my son plays this) as well as graphically intense siftware such as Paintshop Pro. At $179.99 at Best Buy, it can't be beat.

Make sure your PC has got a HD graphic's card. Other wise you will not be able to enjoy the full detail of this monitor. Extra money I didnt have, but after all was installed it is sweet. The guys at Bestbuy really where straight-up and honest as to what I needed to accomplish this up-grade. No more eye, and headache's.

Went to look at a few LCD's and found this one, it was on sale and a much better deal than any others on the shelf from what I saw. The screen looks great, the size is great as well. The buttons are well placed on the right side of the monitor with only the power button on the front. Couldn't have gotten a better deal!

I went from a 19" lcd to this 23" widescreen hi-def, and am thouroughly impressed with the quality and the clarity of this display. I use it primarily for gaming, and it's well worth the price. Thumbs up!

The contrast ratio is garbage. I have it sitting next to my LG 23in lcd (which costs roughly the same price) and the LG just blows it away. The Lg has 50,000:1 contrast and this one has a 10,000:1 ratio. I thought It was a good buy at 179.99$, but it is not worth it. I am returning it today for another LG 23in HDLCD for 229$.
