Make sure your video card has a DP port. this monitor does NOT have a DVI port and the DVI - DP signal conversion boxes are pricey and don't work well, according to reviews (didn't try it). A new video card with a DP port is less expensive than a signal converter. As it is it works fine as a VGA screen. If you want a higher resolution signal check your inputs and outputs.
