This monitor is super fast with its 144hz refresh rate. Throw in the G-Sync and 1440p and this is one of the best monitors at one of the best prices around.

I am really enjoying this monitor. I originally purchased the 24 inch monitor but felt it was to small for FPS gaming. This feels like the perfect size. Keep in mind if you don't have a video card that can push 60+ frames per second at 1440p, at whatever quality setting you prefer, you are wasting money. You also probably already know gsync is for nvidia and freesync is for AMD. Just make sure you get the right one, can really make your gaming more enjoyable and I am happy with this monitor. Wait for it to go on sale though! This monitor does need a little out of the box calibration.

I did a lot of research on 1440p monitors, and for the price this was top on the list. Would recommend for anyone one looking for a great 1440p monitor.

If you can get this monitor on sale go for it. I've had this monitor about 3 months as of this review. I wanted to use it a while to give it a fair review. To take full advantage of this monitor you need a DisplayPort cable, turn the response time to fastest, and enable G-SYNC mode. Colors may need adjusting, but it varies from person to person. Viewing angles are fine in my opinion. I did have one issue where I saw a dead pixel in the middle of the screen, but surprisingly it went away on it's own, and I haven't seen it since. That and the retail price is the only reason I'm giving this monitor 4 stars, otherwise it's great.

Great Gsync Monitor

I have been using this monitor with a GTX 1070 for past few months and so far it has been excellent. Gsync has been a very pleasant experience to use since many modern AAA games sit in the 80-120fps range with my current system. Once you get the monitor calibrated it has very good colors for a TN panel and I can't say I notice any banding on my A05 revision monitor.

I love this display, it's crispy sharp at 1440p running off a gtx 1070. For gaming it has not disappointed, no screen tearning when paired with a gsync capable gpu. The only nitpick is that the colors dont pop as much as IPS displays and viewing angles are narrower, but that is the nature of this display tech, it wouldnt be rated with a 1ms response time otherwise. Design wise, its beautiful, sleek and minimalistic. The physical menu buttons could be a bit more pronounced to make them easier to press.

Lets see. This was nothing short of an experience. This was my first true gaming pc purchase. I saw the price pre black Friday and was excited to see it was in my range. I waited for days on the best buy website waiting for the sales to go up early. 2 days before black friday the sale went live for the pc and I ordered it. About 4 days later I recieved the pc from the delivery service. I was excited and opened it all carefully and plugged it in via the instructions provided. It worked! Within hours I had downloaded wow and began to play. The graphics looked good and I ran it on the highest settings. I turned it off for the night...
The next morning in I woke in excitement and pushed the power button. The pc began to make strange noises. 3 long beeps followed by 3 short beeps. After 30 seconds it booted. I shut it down and it did not make the noise again.
The next morning I booted it and it preceded to make the same beeping noise as the previous day. I began to worry.
I googled and found results for error codes from hp's website.
I had error codes and I called hp to figure what the problem was. They told me to unplug everything and reboot. I did. I did all this over technical support on the phone. The next morning I turned it on I got error codes again. I was so frustrated I brought the pc back to bestbuy and exchanged it for a brand new one. I had to travel about 20 miles past my closest store to find one in stock.
My problems were going to be solved! Wrong!
I got home and setup the new one I had picked up and what happened, ERROR CODES. again. Seriously. I called HP back and "politely" asked them what was going on since ive have tried to play on 2 different pc's and still the same error code letdown. Technical support said "Bestbuy got a bad batch, there was bad solder on the pcie slot"
Long story short I had to get them to build me a new pc and send the other one back. I didnt actually have the finished pc until 2 days before xmas eve. I do not blame bestbuy. They were helpful and exchanged my first one with no questions asked. It was not their fault I had such a problem. Now, having an actual working computer, I will say the computer is good for someone new to pc's and pc gaming. The system is quick and boot times are fast. The cheap price justifies the lack of proper cooling. The system can run very hot, 80 plus degrees Celsius while playing on ultra settings. I installed an aio liquid cooler on the CPU and am currently in the process of upgrading fans, powr supply, lighting, and possibly another aio liquid cooler on the gpu. Just be aware. The 1060 inside is only a 3gb vram card. Which is Definetly basic. The motherboard does not have any RGB headers and does not have any extra USB headers except the one used for the front I/O. So yes, it can be slightly upgraded but realize only so much can be done without investing alot more money to buy extra accessories or even swapping out the motherboard to make it the pc you want. For the person who just cares to play games and can give two beeps about the look of the pc, then sure. Go for it.

Bought this on a great sale via BestBuy.com
Love the monitor. Very good performance for gaming. Perfect size. All the right features. Love being able to use G-Sync.
Out of the box the colors are pretty wonky and everything looks bad, but just follow various guides on Reddit/Amazon/Elsewhere for what settings to configure. Most of them are close to the same values, so you can follow pretty much any of them. I think I used an Amazon review for mine.

I love the packaging of this monitor, the built quality is amazing. This is a TN panel, you will not have those great viewing angles like an IPS panel, it starts looking yellowish when looked from side. I really cant complaint about this monitor. I tested the G-Sync with my GTX 1080 and its amazing this feature. The only thing I didn't like is that it want 4K, however i cant judge this monitor by its resolution this is a 1440p gaming monitor and its amazing, for those wondering about the black levels on this monitor, I didn't have any backlight bleeding.

Granted, up until last year I have used the same Samsung flat screen I bought in 2006. Last year I bought a BenQ for $80 on sale. I recently upgraded my gpu to a current series Nvidia and wanted more from my monitor. This thing rocks!

I bought this monitor off of a recommendation from a friend that owns it as well. Coming from an high end Dell IPS panel I had my doubts about going back to TN. Those doubts have since been erased.
The trade off for a slightly worse but still not bad viewing angle is 144hz, G-sync, and 1ms response time which gives a significant competitive advantage in any games you may play. It hasn't turned me into a pro by any means but it has certainly helped my Overwatch game some.
If it is on sale for under $500 get it and don't think twice about it.

Some YouTube videos don't support 2560x1440p, so it looks choppy. If supported, the colors and subtle black edges give movies/videos a cinematic look. I haven't noticed any huge problems while gaming, but there are some graphical glitches that can happen when loading into games/matches.
The build quality looks professional, and there wasn't any issue with connecting it to my GPU. It took about 2 days to adjust to the smaller icons, and there wasn't a drastic change in my DPI mouse settings.
Everything looks crisp at 144hz at a larger resolution, so it's definitely hard to go back to my 1920x1080p monitor.

Simple clean design if you don’t want to have the “gaming monitor “ look but you still get all of the features. Colors look great for a tn panel but mine has some inconsistencies with dark colors. Enough to dock a star but is still a strong recommend for this price range. Especially with gsync.

While the TN panel means initially colors aren’t as vivid as ips, a few adjustments make it almost just as good. Lives entirely up to its specs and well past its price point. An absolute game changer coming from a 60hz monitor!
