Many appreciate the monitor's excellent performance and value for its price. awesome monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical for months on getting this, now I'm very pleased. well worth the price. I came from a 24 in 144hz 1080p tn monitor and this dell one has way better colors and viewing angle. 27 in 2k is the sweet spot for me. Running on an i56600k and 1080 playing games like overwatch, killing floor and new releases like shadow of mordor or pubg runs perfect in ultra settings with 100-30 fps. Just follow others calibration setup which is easy and you are golden.. highly recommend to those wanting a 27 in 2k g sync monitor you wont find a better one for lesser price

Great for Gaming!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of, if not the best 2k resoultion laptop for gaming. Clocking in at 144hz, it is great for competitive first person shooter such as Counter Strike. I upgraded from the Asus budget 144hz and man, let me tell you, the difference is night and day, in terms of color and clarity! This is a TN panel, which some may tell you sucks, but for gaming, I recommend TN. You will get better refresh rates and response times generally with TN panels. If you are looking for a monitor to use primarily for picture editing or watching movies, I would recommend looking at different monitors. If you are a competitive gamer, or even a casual gamer looking to have smoother, more natural looking game-play, I highly recommend this monitor! I got it when it was on sale for $350. SO I would look for that sale again! Also, you will want at-least a 1070 if you are looking to run your games at their highest setting with the 2k resolution. For example, I have a 1070 and I can't reach 144 fps with games such as Apex legends with the highest settings at 2k resoultion.

27" g sync on a budget FTW
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off watch the price for these to go on sale. This is where these make sense. Current on sale price this week $499. If you are paying non sale price for these (650+) you might as well just by an "A" brand. That said I did test this against other brand TN panels. And at 1440p over 100Htz (g sync enabled) I could not tell the difference. The only major difference between the few I tested was the almost complete lack of light bleed with the Dell. Keep in mind that most AAA game titles set at ultra or super high graphics, there is not a single card GPU solution to run these at 144Htz. Ex. BF1 at Ultra with 1 GTX1080 and a i7-7700k will land you in the 110 average fps area. But 100+ vs 60 is a huge upgrade if you can push it. I myself will never go back to a 60Htz panel again. Its amazing. I did pre order a Non FE 1080 Ti this past week to try and get over 120. I got used to 2 monitors side by side years ago so ended up with 2 of these as well. Hint if you are a BB rewards member....by 1 on sale (499) wait till your points hit and it goes on sale and get an extra $10 off! Game on!

I really like this monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for PS4 gaming and working on the PC. The PS4 only has a 60Hz refresh rate so I didn't get to try the 144Hz refresh rate yet, but the video looks great. I can adjust the brightness and contrast low enough to be comfortable in a dark room and still have great dynamic range (can see in the shadows), and bright enough to overpower the sunshine coming through the patio door behind me on a bright day. I purchased this monitor because I wanted both the anti-glare finish (for the patio door) and a higher resolution QHD (2560 x 1440) for working on the computer. I'm really happy with both. Now the monitor at work, which I used to really like, has jaggy looking text. Some will talk about the TN display looking washed out and having limited viewing angles, but I don't see this. The viewing angles are absolutely fine. The color is slightly muted compared to some gaming monitors, but seriously it looks very clean and natural to me. I'm very happy with the display. It looked good right out of the box, but I did calibrate it using windows to make it just right.

Amazing Monitor Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor while it was on sale for $449. Paying more for it may affect the way YOU feel about the product, but for sub-500 bucks, it's unbeatable. -- First off, for gaming, this monitor is awesome! The colors are pretty good for a TN panel (after toying with calibration for a bit and looking up other people's settings), the resolution is PERFECT for gaming in my opinion (2560x1440), and the refresh rate of 144hz (with the 1ms response time and G-Sync for you Nvidia gamers is AMAZING. Way better than VSync, mind you) is just amazing! But these are features you can find on any similarly made monitor. Let's talk build quality -- The whole display feels super solid and premium (My unit didn't come with any dead pixels/will update if I find one). The buttons on the bottom feel very clicky and not mushy, and the added 4 usb3.0 ports are a dream for those of you with special set-ups like me that don't want to have to walk around your desk to put in a flash drive. The stand of the monitor feels very nice, and sports a cable routing hole for cleaning up the desk a bit. It has Height adjustment (it's pretty tall, but it goes short if you need be), pivot, swivel, and rotation. * It's also worth noting that the stand manages to keep the monitor wobble-free when you're using it on a wobbly desk, or when you're gaming super hard * All in all, I'm loving this monitor!! Now, to those of you wanting to buy it RIGHT NOW, if you can find it sale, pull the trigger. It's worth the money when it's on sale, however, for a MSRP of $699, it's not the best monitor you can get for that price. Having paid just $530 for mine (after tax and the extended warranty), I couldn't be more happy with it!

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently updated my rig and I was looking for a monitor for gaming that would compliment my 2080 super but not totally break me... I bought this on sale for under $400.. I read all the negative reviews and most complained of pixel issues. I was concerned but rolled the dice after realizing that out of over 1K reviews I believe about 40 had issues.. It was a good decision... This is a great monitor so far.. It has a has a 144hz refresh and is 1440p... Every game Ive thrown at it looks amazing and it brings old games to life... For under $400 on sale?? Adjust the color settings to taste and enjoy!! Very happy with this purchase to date..

Best Monitor Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor is worth $500 because it uses a display port to get 1440p resolution, 144hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time as well as G-Sync which is made to be used with V-Sync turned on when playing games. You will never have any issues with screen tearing in-game if you enable G-Sync from the Nvidia Panel and enable V-Sync from the in-game settings. This monitor also has one HDMI port, two aux ports and a USB 3 connector for the PC so that you can plug in 2 USB 3 items into your monitor and use on your PC. I'm sure there's more in the description. Also, the screen quality is fantastic. You do not need to purchase an IPS monitor over this one. Color, Light, and Contrast all look fantastic. This monitor has a matte finish.

Great monitor for the $$$
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am more than happy with the price to performance you get with this monitor! Of course get it on sale if you can. But honestly it is the best TN panel I have had experience with and if no one were to tell me it was TN I would have assumed it was an IPS! Plus it's gsync! Great colors and buttery smooth frame rates!

Great Bang for the Buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, I want to say that the monitor is great. The physical design is beautiful with minimal bezels as well. The display performance is amazing too. It is a TN panel but I barely notice. The colors are pretty close to being accurate with 95 percent RGB coverage if I remember right. It is slightly inaccurate out of the box, which some simple calibrating fixed. At 1440p I have a lot more screen real estate when using things like photoshop and lightroom or webflow. This helps a lot. Then, since it has gsync, gaming on 1440p has been amazing. It is sharp, smooth and everything I could've wanted. 144hz really makes a difference in the experience overall. This is a great monitor!

This is a great gaming monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this monitor for the pixel levels and 144 hertz rating. I found the colors vibrant and immediately saw an increase in the PFS of my game. The price was too good to pass up and am considering purchasing two more so I can have a 3 screen set up for flying. The Gsync worked right out of the box.

TN but better than most IPS.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everybody love its sharp design and its powerful specification. We love its QHD resolution, 144Hz, 1ms response rate and G-Sync. But people worry about its panel before purchase. I can tell you. Don't remind of any other cheap TN panels. Its TN looks better than most of any other common IPS panels.

Exactly what I needed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a 2012 samsung monitor for a while now and decided to upgrade to this beast of a monitor. It is exactly what I needed and more. Not only does it make my games look crisp, the extra resolution space also helps out when doing other things. Definitely worth the buy when it is on sale.

Best gaming monitors I’ve ever purchased.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These have stood the test of time, as I purchased 2 of these in 2017 and here we are 2023 still working great no dead bars / pixels. If Dell keeps making gaming monitors like these I’ll always buy them.

||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing display for the price I got it for. $300 for a 2k 144hz display with native gsync is amazing. Would not pay the retail price though.

A perfect TN panel monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great monitor for TN, if you can catch it on sale. I got this the day before Thanksgiving for $350, which is practically unheard of for a 27 inch, 1440p, G-sync monitor. I will be pairing this up with a Ryzen 1600 and a GTX 1070 TI or 1080 soon - I know the Ryzen will bottleneck FPS, but I do some streaming and gaming at times, and will likely upgrade to Zen 2 or 3. Yes, you will have to tweak the settings to your own liking, but that's not even a real issue. That should be expected. The thing that folks may want to watch out for is the issues that other people have experienced with this monitor. While the model of this monitor is a couple of years old, Dell is still manufacturing these monitors as of 2017. Mine was made in April 2017 and I haven't experienced any issues, whereas people experiencing issues may have "older" manufactured monitors (you can look on the back of the monitor to see when it was made).

Excellent Monitor!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually have (2) of these monitors, one purchased here and one through Dell. I have them hooked up to a Nvidia 1070 card at full resolution. The GSync feature is neat in that I typically don't need both monitors on and my display will split to two monitors to condense to one based on whether the monitors are switched on or not. I see an issue that when my Windows 10 System goes into "sleep" mode that I need to switch the monitors off and back on again for the display(s) to come back on, but that might be a setting somewhere that I have yet been too lazy to pursue!

Most Cost-Effective Gaming Monitor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently I had done a lot of research on choosing monitor and this one is my answer. It's perfect for playing game, especially for fps or moba. Various function, and nice design. The most important, G-Sync! Can't expect more with this price.

Great 1440p Experience at 144hz
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you have a nvida videocard that can push this to 144hz at 1440p you're going to have a great experience. Colors are very good and picture quality is amazing. Only complaint is that the USB cable that comes with monitor is too short IMO.

Gsync and a great price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The upcharge on Gsync in general is a bit much and this monitor seems to be the most reasonably priced for a 144hz monitor. Great for gaming.
