The upcharge on Gsync in general is a bit much and this monitor seems to be the most reasonably priced for a 144hz monitor. Great for gaming.

Read lots of reviews on gaming monitors ranging from a few hundred dollars to over a thousand. I have to say for the money the Dell absolutely can not be beat. When teamed with an Nvidia card and adjusted properly the colors look amazing, the screen refresh is great and once you play at 144hz you will never go back to those 60hz displays. The Gsync ability smooths out the frames as well and makes gaming much more enjoyable than ever before.

QHD and G-Sync and small bezel make for a great monitor. When they're on sale for half price (which they are a couple times a year), buy 2 or 3 for an awesome multiple monitor setup. They have decent color reproduction and awesome brightness. Don't get me wrong, there are better monitors out there, but not for this price and certainly not off the shelf at BB. Warning: Don't get these for an AMD video card. Look for the Freesync version for those cards. These are for nVidia GeForce cards!

I went through a handful of monitors from the IPS 24-27 inch and various makers and this one is one of the better ones for the price range for g-sync. I think g-sync is worth the extra money for a good card -gtx1070 and right now just playing Diablo3 haha but I've loaded up other games and ran them through and no problems. Images and colors are very vivid. The most vivid I've seen on a monitor upto this price point. Highly recommend and if you can get this on sale you will feel like you stole it. Although it's not a IPS panel with this monitor you won't be radically affected by that. you would have to be in unnatural positions to start to lose the picture quality otherwise you most miss a thing being comfortable and lose in your chair.

The colors on this monitor are decent, however the panel type still leaves more to be desired. The GSYNC runs smoothly and 144 HZ 2K resolution is a perfect combination. For a while I was using a GTX 1070 and this paired well with that card. Knocking a star off due to a weird ghost line I had on my display after having it for roughly 2-3 years (bought in 2017) and it wouldn't go away. Ended up replacing this with the upgraded model with an IPS display and 165hz display.

When I was looking for a G-Sync Gaming monitor I originally was not going to consider TN panel displays but the great deal that was going on for this display at the time made me check it out. THe big draw beyond gsync was 1440p as while 4k is cool they are way more expensive for a gsync and hard to maintain frame rates in most games. I have a 1080 and this monitor works great with it. The high refresh rate is a treat as it is not something I had before. If you have a AMD graphics card I would probably go for a cheaper Free-Sync Option but if you have a Nvidia card this is the way to go, high refresh rate and gysnc make this a great value. While it is a tn panel the colors look great still and you great awesome response time.

Amazing product if bought when on sale. I purchased this when it was on sale for 450 dollars!!!!!!!!!! At that price there is nothing that can compare. Do not buy it If the price is above 600 dollars. Your to close to the price of the Asus and Acer IPS gaming monitors which will better colors and viewing angle. I have always had TN panels and this thing is a major improvement over my old ones. Make sure the one you buy is a revision Ao2 or Ao3. The revision is on the side of the box with the rest of Dells model and serial numbers. TFT has a color profile that is great. Make sure to adjust gamma via nvidia control panel. A couple quirks. May not recognize the display port when you first turn it on. Multiple people report using HDMI first. Then disable auto power off. And make sure to leave overdrive set to normal NOT fast or you will get ghosting.

I've been looking for a monitor of this caliber for a while that was not over $700 and then I stumbled on this one on sale. 27 inch? 144hz? 1ms response time? 1440p? and Gsync??? for under $500! I couldn't believe the value I was getting for this montior. Although it is not a IPS panel the TN panel they are using looks extremely good! I have overall been extremely happy with my purchase it has yet to disappoint! It was easy to set up and overall looks great!!!

I was nervous at first when buying this monitor. I had used IPS panels from the beginning of my PC gaming days. The combination of the resolution and refresh rate were WAY too expensive on IPS panels so I decided to look at TN options. Everything I had heard made me believe I would get a really subpar image quality in exchange for the resolution and refresh rate combination. But I had the ability with my Elite status to return it, if it fell short of my expectations. All of the reviews praised the image quality. I got it home and immediately tweaked the image and picture settings within the monitor. I made them match a Reddit post from someone who had calibrated their monitor that was the same model. Keep in mind, my old monitor was 6 years old at the time of this purchase and was 1080p/60Hz. So the technology jump certainly softened the transition to TN from IPS. That being said, it is an amazing picture all around. The refresh rate and resolution are gorgeous. The only place I would say it suffers in comparison to an IPS monitor would be with the viewing angles. The quality drops off pretty quickly when viewing from steep angles. But that is 100% what I expected with a TN screen. Since I sit directly in front of my monitor in order to play on PC, it has not affected my enjoyment whatsoever.

So I’ll start by saying I’ve only owned ips panels. My first one was an old 1080 60hz dell that was gifted to me. Then I got an hp 1080 144hz. I was hesitant to get this monitor due to some of the reviews on here. But it was on sale for $350. So I went for it. Took it home and researched some calibration settings. I’m very happy with the colors and contrast compare to my last two monitors and it’s definitely an upgrade from 1080. I would not however pay full price for this. You can get an ips monitor for what their full price is. But at $350 I would definitely recommend it. Hopefully I won’t have some of the QC issues stated in here

    Great Image Quality, Easy Setup

This monitor has amazing image quality and was very easy to setup. Make sure you have a NVIDIA graphics card so you can enable the GSync feature that works tremendously. If you have an AMD graphics card, you should NOT buy this product. There is a much cheaper model of this monitor that has Freesync capability. If you did your research though, you will find two issues with this monitor. The first issue is that the Sleep Mode can randomly cause your monitor to never wake up/go black when in the Display Port setting. This did in fact happen to me when I was directly plugged into the Display Port of my ASUS Prime Z370-A motherboard. Even disabling the Sleep Mode did not fix the problem even though other forums have said that this does solve the issue. I tried trouble shooting the issue by turning the monitor off and on, but that did not work either. Once I got an NVIDIA 1080 Ti GPU, I no longer ran into this issue. The second issue with this monitor is that you could potentially receive older versions of the monitor which have color banding issues. The revision of your monitor is appended to the S/N as AXX. Supposedly the color banding issue was fixed with either rev A08 or A09. I have two rev A09 montiors and have seen no color banding issues. One last thing to note is that this monitor will randomly go on sale for $350 or less (excluding tax). So,if you’re big into saving $250 or more, then make sure to create a Best Buy account and subscribe to Reddit’s buildapcsales for deal alerts on this monitor as well as other PC products.

Where do I start! No light bleed... As it's a TN panel. TN is great as I sit straight into the monitor and not 45 degrees beside it... Lol. Married to Nvidia and so gsync is a great addition!! 27 inches is perfect size. Love the bezels and color of the stand.. Sexy in black! The 2k panel is a perfect resolution for what I do with work and since I don't play any 4k games or need that many pixels, I stayed clear of 4k... no scaling for me!!

I’ve used many gaming monitors and this is by far one of the best I’ve ever used. Great all around spec and performance with GSYNCH. 1440p is a must for a 27 in monitor. It is TN panel and not IPS but dont let that fool you. With a little setting tweak, the color becomes amazing! You cant tell the difference! It’s also very clean looking that will work with any set up. One look and you cant tell its a gaming monitor like other gaming monitor nowaday which has all these crazy lighting and more but if you’re a simple guy like me who likes clean and simple design then this is perfect for you. From my experience, Dell is a very reliable monitor brand.

Was previously using my U3415W for gaming, but wanted something with a higher refresh rate since im running a GTX 1080. This was on sale and was going for a great price at the time and so far has been really great. No tearing/stutter and FPS games run smoothly. Not sure if it's a setting or something but when the monitor goes to sleep i have to turn it off then back on again for it to come back. Other then that it's been great.

The value proposition is a little hazy now that NVidia announced Freesync compatibility, but if you're looking for a decently priced GSYNC monitor, this one is pretty great. Minor color calibrations got the colors good enough for anyone who won't be seriously editing photos/video, and the image is crisp. Turning on GSYNC is fantastic, I don't think I'll ever be able to go back to a monitor without a variable refresh rate, at least when it comes to PC gaming.

This is one of the highest reviewed monitors on the market and for good reason. This fits the perfect spot for visual clarity and frame rate. 144hrtz at 1440p is the only way to game unless you can put 6 grand into a gaming rig to do high frame rate 4K gaming. If you’re considering this item then do yourself a favor and hit the buy button. Absolutely worth it

I decided to finally upgrade to this 1440p 144hz monitor when I saw it on sale and glad that I did, it was a big difference in clarity coming from my old 1080p 60z monitor. my main reason for buying it was Gsync and I noticed the difference right away, no more severe screen tearing on some of my most played games. it may not be IPS but I don't have it at angles and see it straight on. the colors need some adjustment out of the box but once you play around with them, it looks nice. the 1ms response time is great for competitive multiplayer games also.
