not happy---Best Buy was useless---after examination--said they didn't know what was wrong but I could buy a tech support 1 yr policy for $200.. I called Dell & after trying over phone to decide problem, sent me a new "motherboard" and a technician to install it. Of course that didn't work either and now another ram board has arrived that I have to install. Am I happy????????????????

I replaced an old Dell Inspiron with the XPS and what a difference! Fast, fast, fast. I may install an SSD just to get the max speed out of this computer. I have had no problems. Set up was easy as following the directions, I have added 8 Gig post of RAM purchase for a total of 16 Gig which is more that needed for the activities I pursue. I have had Dell computers for the last 30 years (no exaggeration) and have never encountered any problems. I highly recommend this computer.

    Great Machine! Intel for Life!

I've tried two AMD FX series machines, to no avail. The first one would not run, and the second one did not have the performance I needed. After leaving Intel for many years, I have to say; they know how to make a speedy machine! I then ordered an XPS 8900-2508 with 16gigs of ram, however someone messed up and they sent the wrong machine. I thankfully looked and took it back in doors. I was given a discount and kept this machine. I only needed to purchase additional ram, which the store stated was out of stock, but it was reported to be online. After visiting a different location I was able to get 16 gigs of DDR4 RAM (it was in a different location than the DDR3 RAM so it took awhile for the store clerk to find). I got the machine home, put in the additional RAM, and it wasn't reading it. I let the machine check to see if there were any issues (the short version, not the 4 hr version), and restarted the machine! I am in HEAVEN, after all that heck. I love this machine. I trust that it won't have any other issues. PS Best Buy, you need to train your employees better.
