I have had issues with this printer since day 1!! Will not feed through cardstock! Constant paper jams!! Plus, now it hasn't been working for a few months. Keeps giving me an error code of paper jam and to open rear cover! Yet, there isnt anything there! I'm so fed up with this thing!!!

After ordering an hp laser & it not working, I then turned to this dell. I love it, easy set up, didn't have to do much to get it up & running. Prints are awesome quality.

I was tired of ink jet printers clogging up. I read that laser printers were the way to go but they are usually expensive. This model was affordable. Very nice color printing. Great scanner. Way worth the price to avoid ink jet aggravation. Just send something to print and it works. That's the way it's supposed to be. We are very pleased. Easy set up, although the set up wizard doesn't work if you have a mac and I spent some time trying to download software. I called Dell and a very nice person walked me through the set up. She was very helpful.

This color printer does a better job than the brand new 600 dollar color laser we got at work. It keeps the paper covered so it doewanr get dust on it, or have anything small accidentally fall on it and get sucked in. (This has happened to me more than one on my inkjet) Setup was a breeze and it was very easy to get printing from our phones too. The only slight drawback is that every time it finishes a print job it beeps and when it's out of paper it beeps for quite a while, which isn't good if it's in the room next to my sleeping fiancee who works night shift. Still it's the best color laser printer with the cheapest toners. That was my priority when shopping, to not have to spend an arm and a leg for toner and this fits that bill and is so much better in quality than I could have asked for.

Good product - difficult install- manual duplex

This seems to be a very good color laser printer for the price.
I am used to finding even relatively low cost ink jets having auto-duplex so I was a bit disappointed that this has manual duplex only, but it does work well.
Most negative comment is for the documentation and installation instructions that come with it. They are incomplete and sometimes even refer to printer labels or soft-keys that are actually named differently.
Setting the FAX to let the answering machine on the same line answer first is an adventure in searching.online. I unplugged it.
Getting it installed to work with my wireless router as a network printer may not be possible. It may need to be hard wired to the router.
In short, I have installed many printers and remote and/or wreless devices on a home LAN, and this was by far the most frustratingly difficult. The instructions are often almost right. It appears they may be generic and not for his exact model..
I do like the quality of print, but speed is not what I had hoped for.
I would recommend to a friend but only with caveats.
It is a good color laser printer for home or light-duty use, and a good value. I would recommend it to a friend as long as the friend knew exactly what to expect.

Got printer for a good price to replace Ink jet printer that would be dried out when I wanted to use it. Prints very good color and scans well. Print driver hard to install. fax works with my other answering machine. Like the top feed for copying.

Momnunit needed a new printer. Her IT department (ME!) doesn't support inkjet printers because, well, they are junk. So the search for a reasonably priced color laser began. All in one would be nice, but not a must have. We use these where I work for our remote sales staff and they have been very reliable, easy to install, easy to use especially compared to the HP inkjets they replaced. I figure, if I could get a remote sales director to scan a document, I could get Mom to! When it arrived, I unboxed and set it up on our network to configure and test things out. I setup my email address for it to email me when there is a paper jam, it's out of ink, etc. I put my wife's email and Mom's email if she wanted to scan something to any of us via email. Everything was extremely easy to setup. I was actually impressed with the configuration web page's options actually. I didn't expect it to have as many features as it does. Only down side is the weight, it's pretty heavy. When our laser jet goes out, this will be it's replacement.

Overall the multi-function printer is ok. It prints, in black & white or in color, very fast. The paper tray can hold 250 pages and there is an accessory tray you can purchase that will hold 500 pages. Set up and using everything is intuitive. However, to print on both sides of a page requires some manual input: the printer prints all the even pages first, then you have to take those pages and re-insert them into the paper tray in a certain manner and then tell the printer to print all the odd pages. I was under the impression that two-sided printing was automatic and it's not. I don't think that two sided scanning and/or faxing is possible. That is a let down. But the toner is much less expensive than other models so I think I will keep the printed because of that cost savings.

Great printer from a great brand. This printer met my expectations and then some. Pro's: Easy to setup, Toner easy to change, and Price. Con's: does not have automatic duplex, web UI and LCD panel interface could be more user friendly, and paper tray will not hold an entire ream of paper. Having used many brands in the past including Dell. This is still one of the best printer brands out there.

Copying is easy and looks good but setting up the fax was very complicated. I wanted to just plug it in and hit fax, enter number and send. But no. I tried to just go through settings and answer, I mean, I know how to use a fax. I had to read through the instructions twice to get it set up. Only had it a week so haven't used the fax yet so don't know if it works.

I've purchased many printers, but this is my first laser printer. The quality is the best. The machine was easy to set up and takes all variety and weight of paper. Great price from Best Buy

This printer is the best bang for your buck. I had the Dell Color Laser without the printer/scanner feature but since I switched jobs I needed more features and this one fits the bill!

I purchased this printer when Best Buy had a fantastic offer. It was my first Dell printer. I have been using this printer for over 6 months now and so far I like it. It's relatively easy to install the driver and it's quiet to operate. I haven't purchased replacement toners yet but from what I have heard, they should be relatively inexpensive. It's not the best quality laser printer! My other inkjet printers have similar quality but I bought this printer for my daughters' school work and they seem to like it. So if you want to get a high definition laser printer, this may not be the one for you.

So far so good. The print and scan quality is clear. The set is quite heavy though so we had to put it on the ground instead of the work table.

It's one of the most affordable color laser printer with Multi function option (all in one), color output is great and print speed is decent for home use. Very happy with the printer performance and features so far. Built in air print option is very handy to print documents or photos from ios devices and mac.

Cant beat the price for a multifunction. Do not expect business-like performance, and there are cheap quality components. However, for the $150 I paid, it is beyond what what you can ask.

This is a very nice all in one laser printer for the price which I paid. Printing quality is excellent compared to any deskjet or inkjet all in one printers in the market and laser printer in the market which are doubled the price. setup on windows was easy, not more than 10 min. If you are looking for a not expensive printer for home this is a good choice.
