This is an impressive gaming laptop, especially at this price point. You get a Ryzen 7 5800H processor, 8GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3050 Ti with 4GB, and a 512GB SSD. So, how does it perform? In War Zone I'm getting 60 to 70 fps. Not too shabby for a mid-range gaming laptop. And the screen is really nice. Yeah, it's only 1080p, but it's super crisp with deep blacks and great color. And at 120hz things stay really smooth. The speakers are surprisingly good, as well, though I mainly use headphones. People have complained about overheating, and that was an issue initially until I discovered the Game Shift option (FN+G), which ramps up the fans and keeps temperatures down. Things can get a little noisy, but a little noise is to be expected from a gaming laptop. So, should you buy one? If you're looking for a gaming laptop at this price point, absolutely. I'm not sure you'll find anything better, with this much quality, and at this price point. Keep in mind if you're considering this for gaming and day-to-day use, it's a little heavy for hauling around, but doable. After all, it is a gaming laptop.

I purchased this laptop yesterday and can say it is great. My first gaming laptop was a Dell Inspirion 7000 series with an GTX 1050ti and that suited me well for 3 years. 2 months ago I purchased an Acer Nitro 5 with a GTX 1650 and the laptop was good but only difference was the 144hz the graphics card difference was only slightly noticeable. I returned that laptop and purchased this and it is definitely much better. I had issues on my first setup where i had to force shut it off twice before it worked but after that it works great. Really only thing that bothers me but is totally opinionated is that the keys and mousepad are very tough. Worth your money and looks great. The speckles are maybe a personal opinion but to me I love. I heard that this computer can have a hard time playing games where the fans speed up and the laptop heats up but I did not have an issue. Just keep in mine for the comments that complain about it only being an 8gb laptop. First off just buy a ddr4 8gb ram or 2 x 16s. By the way it takes 3200mhz. I hope you enjoy it because it is definitely built to last.

It stopped working after 2 years of using it. Never dropped it, we didn't even use it for gaming. We only used it for office work. I do not recommend. The screen doesn't turn on. Had bestbuy take a look at it but even thet say they don't know what happened to it. Waste of money

This was a great value for a gaming laptop at this price point

My son was absolutely thrilled to get this for Christmas. He has wanted his own PC to play with his friends that are not big console players. It runs well out of the box, but could really benefit from some more memory and space. But for just getting into that world, this is not a bad choice.

I bought this computer to process raw photographs. The CPU and the GPU decreased my processing time. There is only 8 GB of RAM but it should be easy to upgrade it. The fans are a bit noisy when on, but I clearly prefer having a good cooling for a notebook.

Picked this up on sale to replace an old dinosaur. Wish it came with 16GB RAM. Will have to see if/how to upgrade that part. Otherwise, it is night and day compared to our previous and runs applications with no issues.

Great gaming laptop for what my son needs! The sales rep was very informative and explained that Dell is now manufactured by a company that makes a well known brand of gaming laptops. You really get the best bang for your buck with this one!

Great laptop overall. Would recommend buying on sale and not full price. Lost a star for the long setup, and fans do sometimes get loud. Still a good laptop but would recommend having it plugged in for better experience (laptop drops frames when not plugged in)

Great spec for a entry level gaming laptop for kids. Got this for my son for xmas. He mainly play roblox and minecraft, with these specs he will be good for 2-3 years. Not to mention, got it on the black friday guarenteed price for under $900.

I love my laptop. I can play games and get work done on it. I use it to run my shirt business plus I can play Sims when I'm relaxing. The only draw back is the battery doesn't last that long.

Overall great machine! Silent, fast, and more than what i need. But the one thing i want it for, doesn't always work. HDR for movie's!. It doesn't always display in hdr for my tv. Not sure why, but would still recommend this for everyone.

So far so good. I' m not a gamer I bought the laptop to have a fast updated computer. I enjoy that fact that it is working as well as I hoped. If I get into more gaming I know it will be a good machine to have.

This is a pretty good gaming computer. I’ve run nba 2k22, guardians of the galaxy, and borderlands on this with no issues or lag. It’s fairly easy to upgrade but it loses a couple stars from me as if you want to add a second M.2 SSD Dell does not provide a second mounting screw or thermal shield. Contacting Dell is one heck of a run around. Technical support transferred me to customer service who transferred me to sales who transferred me to customer service again who transferred me to technical support and then finally back to sales. If you can stand being on the phone with Dell for over and hour then by all means this is a good computer.

Very good cpu and graphics for the price. 2 things I wish it had. Charging through the USB-C port, and better USB ports (2 ports are USB 2).

Good gaming laptop, but very heavy and clunky for a low end gaming laptop. Not impressed with it for the purchase price. There are better options out there for the money.
