Wow! What a awesome gaming laptop for the price. I have Steam and every game I installed on it ran at 60fps 1080P on max settings. Titles like Tomb Raider, Assassins Creed, Metal Gear Solid 5, Tekken 7, Street Fighter 5, Gran Theft Auto 5, Mass Effect Andromeda, etc etc ran smooth with no slow down what so ever. I highly recommend this laptop because it’s a bang for your buck!

great spec. if you do not want to spend over $1000, this is a great laptop for gaming and other less intensive tasks. the fan noise can be bothersome so use a head/earphone to drown out the noise. make sure vsync is off when gaming. I used external fan and once the game crashed after about 2 hours. other than that, from my limited use i think it is great for the price I paid.

Would give it 4.75 if I could. I am loving my new computer. It's so much faster than my old one. I do think the 128 g SSD is too small to be much good if you want to download a big game. Having some trouble setting up some things, I'm sure some are my fault. Cortana doesn't work and I'm really not interested in jumping through hoops to get it. So far liking Windows 10, to my surprise.

This is a fantastic Laptop! The SSD drive is smokin fast. I exchanged it for the 8gb with the 250gb SSD drive only because I wanted more space for games on the crazy fast SSD drive. By no means am I sayin this lap top is terrible. That's why best buy has two of the G7's. Great products! If you are big gamer, Id upgrade from this model to the 250gb size SSD model.

Wonderful is no exaggeration. It runs beautifully, quickly, and with stability. It's like having an Alienware but in a more refined, classy package. The trackpad is wonderfully responsive, though I don't care much for the buttons being integrated INTO the pad, it's something I can easily look past. My only major gripe is the power brick. After only two weeks...TWO WEEKS...it's charging intermittently. It's not the power socket plug. I've tried multiple I have on hand in its place and the same intermittent power delivery. Now, if it sits in JUST the right place, it works fine. The cable going from the brick to the laptop doesn't seem to change anything...so I believe whatever is loose is in the brick itself. Maybe this is why it was returned in the first place. I'm going to be looking into this soon, as this is defective from when I received it.

I bought this gaming laptop to replace my older laptop and use it to play World of Warcraft. Needless to say, this laptop is super fast and quiet. The video card is on max settings and runs at 100 fps. The video card does spin up its fan during intense PvP gaming but it's not obnoxiously loud. I definitely recommend this laptop!

I bought this laptop online/picked up in store based on the processor, hard drive, etc. It is performing great and was reasonable priced, but the only drawback is that it is much larger than I expected (barely fits into my Swiss Army backpack). Other than the size which is not conducive to airline travel, it is a very good laptop.

Easy use very fast good for gaming and school use love it!

This device is a beast-a-saurus. I use it to edit video, high res photography and do some gaming. Yes, it's a gaming laptop- but don't tell the wifey. It rocks any big web page, has enough ports for me to connect all the things and looks pretty nice. Down side: it is heavy- but that's due to the metal case. So worth it.

I'm not really a gamer, but wanted a gaming laptop for business use while working on very large database and spreadsheet applications. BB salesperson was very knowledgeable about the laptops I had been looking at, and confirmed this unit will serve my needs (and helped with peripherals). Unit has performed extremely well so far!

I bought this to replace my 8 y/o desktop that cannot even play ported ps4 games, past 15fps, so it was time for an upgrade. I needed something that would work for gaming, work, and school, and was future proof for at least 2 years. I didn't need the best, nor did I want that kind of performance. Found this little gem, with the same specs as its competitors but a full $300 cheaper, with the only caveat is a weaker, slightly inaccurate display. To be honest color fidelity really didn't matter to me, since I planned to primarily use this with VR, or an external 4k monitor when I game. And that wouldn't really matter to me when I'm just typing up documents for work and school. Only thing I don't like is the blue accent, I would prefer either red or neutral color like white, but its extremely muted compared to other brands, and its i can live with it for 300$ cheaper. Also don't like how hard it is to press down on the track pad(though you can still just tap to right click without pressing down, just used to using a macbook). Still using a 2017 Macbook pro for work, which to me has the best track pad around.
