This stopped working less than a week after purchase. Took back and they exchanged it.

not what I thought it was gonna be, wish I would of done more research

HD is so small it won't even accommodate Windows upgrades. Been in the shop twice in the first year for the same power issue.

This is an ok computer for the price, but I crashes easily

First, this laptop is the perfect size - it's more like a netbook with the power of a full sized laptop. The keyboard size is perfect for a machine this small. The HD screen resolution is phenomenal for a small 11" ratio. What more can I say, it's simply a fantastic machine. Yet, with only 2 GB of ram, it seems to bog down when opening too many webpages at the same time. The Specifications section suggests that the memory is upgradable to 4 GB and that there is a single slot for DDR3L PC3 ram. So what's the first thing I buy to go with this laptop? 4 GB of memory. The laptop is a pain to take apart and after finally getting it open, the ram appears to be integrated into the motherboard - as there is no DDR3L memory slot. I only wish one of the reviews had mentioned this and I could have saved myself an hour of time on this upgrade task. All in all, 2 GB of ram appears to be enough to do basic tasks on this laptop and for the size, one cannot beat the convenience of a laptop that can basically go anywhere. Also, the battery life appears to be impeccable clocking in at about 8 to 10 hours. Bottom line: I would recommend this laptop to anyone who wants a small machine to go anywhere, however Best Buy should consider updating the specifications section to avoid implying that the memory can be upgraded to 4 GB.

For the people bashing it .. It's less then $200 and comes with office that is normally $60 by itself. For web, email, office, YouTube and Netflix this has been more then fine. It's a basic laptop and priced accordingly. I would recommend it.

I bought this laptop to online shop, check email and twitter, and edit files in Microsoft Office. I chose this over a Chromebook because of Excel. The Dell came with a year of Office and seems to run it well. I haven't tried any huge spreadsheets yet, but my girlfriend made a PowerPoint for work with no problems. It was slower than I expected at first, then I noticed the mcafee antivirus it came with was hogging all the RAM. I uninstalled this and Windows Defender automatically took over. It is much better now and can handle many tabs in Edge (internet explorer). I will probably switch to a different browser for more extensions, but am giving Edge a fair chance. There isn't much storage space after you install office, but you get 1TB of cloud storage with your (free year) subscription. I would also recommend removing most of the Dell applications. A lot of them seem to run in the background. Summary: Uninstall Mcafee. Office and internet work smoothly. Does everything I need (email, twitter, office, web). Battery life is good. Great deal if you are not a demanding user.

My mouse continuously quit working, I can't even load my files without it not responding, my headphone jack refuses to work, and it is running super slow. I only have had mine for not even two days and I'm so done with it and already have to exchange it or return it because it isn't a good laptop.

Bought this laptop as a gift for my mom. It has been nothing but a problem since the beginning. My mom does not install or download things on her computer, but yet the computers memory is full. It will not function as a result. It constantly turns off and goes blank will not restart.
