Decent computer for simple tasks

This laptop was affordable and so far reliable. It isn’t the fastest laptop out there, but it’s been super helpful so far.

I will say there are a few features that would and could improve the performance and capabilities.

Decent laptop

The sole purpose for this laptop is to play music on and it will not be used for everyday computing. The laptop pretty much serves it purpose. It takes a little long for the laptop to boot up (most like due to the processor, which is not top of the line, but I knew this before purchasing it so that's ok.) And the laptop also has a little bit of a lag in response time when opening programs, music etc., but once it get going it works just fine for my purposes. I wouldn't recommend this laptop for everyday computing. But again, for playing music and or minimal internet surfing, this laptop works just fine. Plus it's blue and I like the blue color.

Okay but not great

Posted .Redent, Thanks for your recent Dell laptop purchase. We're sorry to hear that your laptop is not running as fast as you had hoped it would. Here are some tips that may help improve the speed of your laptop: Delete temporary files and directories
1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box.
2. Run disk cleanup and eliminate unneeded temporary files (Search results, Internet Cache and other windows temp files you may no longer need)
3. Select files you want to delete then click OK to start the cleanup process.
Uninstall applications you no longer use
1) Open the Programs and Features application in Control Panel.
2) Scan the list of applications installed for ones that you no longer use.
3) Highlight any application you no longer use and then click the uninstall button at the top of the list. Follow the prompts to uninstall.
4. Repeat for each application you want to uninstall.
5. Move large files and/or seldom used files to backup media (Photos, Music you seldom listen to, application downloads after the application has been installed etc.).
6. Empty the Recycle Bin.

Worst Laptop Ever!

She doesn't do much, mainly just surfs the web. The first time I turned it on, it would not even load. I got an error message saying something to the effect "please use Dell 45s power supply, that came with the laptop." I was using the power supply that was in my new, unopened box shipped directly from Dell. It gave me the option to load anyway. I did, thinking it would only need Windows updated or a driver updated. Wow! Was I wrong. I updated everything and was still getting the error message. It was only running on the charge the battery shipped with. The battery finally died. Unfortunately, before I could erase my data. The operating system takes up 70% of the 32GB hard drive. With 4GB of memory, it was way to slow to surf the Internet. I only paid $139 for this laptop on Black Friday. Even if it did not have the power cord issue, this laptop still would not be worth the money. Do NOT Waste Your Money!
