I have been using the Dell Inspiron 14" 2-in-1 FHD+ Touch Screen Laptop with AMD Ryzen 5, 16 GB of memory, and a 512 GB solid state drive for about a week now, and it has been excellent for my home office work. Once I finished setting it up, everything ran smoothly, and it quickly became my go-to device for emails, documents, and light multitasking throughout the day. The overall experience feels fast, responsive, and reliable, which is precisely what I needed. One of my favorite features is the AI-enabled video chat. The auto-framing keeps me centered on the screen as I move around, and the AI-enabled eye contact helps me look more engaged during calls, even when I glance at notes or another part of the screen. It makes my virtual meetings feel more professional and natural, without me having to adjust the camera constantly. In terms of performance, the latest AMD Ryzen 8000 Series processor powers through my daily activities. Whether I am running multiple browser tabs, office applications, or streaming content in the background, everything runs smoothly. The slim and lightweight design makes it easy to carry around the house or slip into a bag if I need to work elsewhere, so I never feel weighed down by my laptop. The media experience is impressive as well. Dolby Atmos audio creates a rich, realistic soundstage that makes music, movies, and videos more immersive, just as the artist intended. Combined with the bright FHD+ touch screen, it is a pleasure to use for both work and relaxation. I also appreciate how adaptable the design is. The 360-degree hinge lets me switch effortlessly between laptop, stand, tent, and tablet modes depending on what I am doing. It is convenient when I want to watch videos, share my screen with someone next to me, or browse in tablet mode. The optional active pen support is an excellent bonus for natural writing, whether it is jotting down notes, journaling, or marking up documents. Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14" 2-in-1 has been a fantastic addition to my home office setup. It combines strong performance, innovative AI features, a flexible design, and an eye-friendly viewing experience into one dependable and enjoyable laptop.

Multipurpose Laptop - Good for Everything

In the box is the laptop, the power cord and a tiny sheet with a QR code for setup. First Impression - This is a good laptop for general use. Simplicity is a good description if I had to describe this laptop in one word. Turning it on was simple, after plugging it in–just press the fingerprint detection button. Setting up the laptop was just as easy as taking it out of the box. You can also either set up the laptop on your phone (android or iOS) through the QR code, or set it up manually on the laptop. The laptop has a headphone jack, an SD port, 2 USB-C, 2 USB, and an HDMI port. So plug in’s are seamless. So far this laptop has done nothing but run smoothly. The laptop does hold a bit of weight to it, and is a bit heavier than what I am used to. The keys are backlit, and aren’t too loud when pressed. They also have a nice stiff feeling to them. The size of the keyboard, in my opinion, took me some time to get used to. Having a keyboard and mousepad this big was a nice new experience. The touchscreen runs just as smooth as the keyboard and you can fold the screen all of the way back to put the laptop into tablet mode. Once in said mode, the keyboard no longer works just the screen.   The laptop’s speakers are pretty loud, so if you want a laptop to watch videos/movies you can hear them perfectly! It’s also pretty good for simple games, like roblox, minecraft, etc. But for more complex games, it may lag a bit. All of the document apps work really well on this. So if you are planning to buy a laptop for work or school, this laptop is also a really good for multipurpose use.  The battery life is really good; you can get up to 12 hours of continuous use without having to charge it! And even when needed, the charge time of the laptop isn’t long.  All in all, this is a great laptop to buy for its multifunctional use, battery life and tablet mode. I would recommend this product to friends and family and I would purchase again.

I had a chance to use the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 for about a week and it surprised me—in a good way. Compact and flexible without the big price tag. INSTALL/SETUP The initial setup was pretty easy, typical microsoft setup the pc. There were no surprises. BUILD/FEEL It has a sturdy 360° hinge, it doesn't slip or travel once opened up. The tablet feature comes in pretty useful when watching videos or using reading apps. The Keyboard has solid travel, trackpad is smooth and accurate. 1080p cam is fine for Zoom. FEATURES/FUNCTIONS Ryzen 5 8640HS + 16GB DDR5 works well, the ram can handle microsoft word web browsing without any issues. The AI chat feature is pretty cool, I have used it and have not quite noticed the AI eye contact if you look away but it has only been a week of use. THE TOUCHSCREEN IS NICE, touch is responsive; tent mode is great for video. Ports are generous: 2× USB-C (DP/charge), 2× USB-A, HDMI, SD, audio jack. DOWNSIDE/WISH The display is fine indoors, but it isn’t super bright outdoors. I’d love a QHD+/brighter panel option. A larger screen would be nice, at least 15inches would have been nice . OVERALL Does the basics really well with extra flexibility, an easy pick if you are looking for tablet versatility and a little workhorse that can handle school intensive work but not meant for gaming, edit heavy software or rendering software.

I am very impressed with this laptop. Packaging - Very well packed and organized within the box. Hardware - feels durable and is very sturdy to type on your lap if needed. I have used the laptop over a week and the keyboard is very functional. Keys are easy for me to accurately type this review without hitting multiple keys at a time or accidentally hitting the trackpad by accident. Screen quality - is really good image on the screen. Text is very easy and sharp to read. This 2k screen is absolutely stunning and amazing to say the least. Battery life. This laptop sips battery instead of depleting it quickly. I plugged it in and charged it to a 100%. Then used it for several days without depleting the battery. Performance - the laptop performs very well and can run any application I have thrown at it without hesitation. Everything from opening, closing files. Collaborating on documents and starting up this laptop is fast and flawless. Tablet - Is very nice and responsive as well. Versatile to be used as a tablet with full functionality. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone who is in the market for a versatile laptop that can be used as a tablet or a laptop.

Dell’s Convertible Gets the Fundamentals Right

This Inspiron 14 2-in-1 has been a very positive experience, striking a great balance between premium build quality and high performance—all without adding a lot of distracting digital noise. First, the durability is excellent. The hinges are strong and smooth, which is critical for any convertible, and the screen feels solid and good to touch. Dell also paid attention to the tactile experience of the keyboard; the haptics are satisfying, making long periods of typing comfortable. I also like the aesthetic: the display is bright, feels spacious due to the slim bezels, and generally runs close to the edge of the casing. Even the speakers are surprisingly decent. Given the hardware limitations of a slim laptop, the sound quality is actually pretty good. All of this without being noticably heavy or bulky. The biggest hidden win here is how Dell approached the current wave of "AI powered" features. There's a dedicated Copilot key, which I probably won't ever press, but that's the extent of the disruption. They’ve kept the preloaded AI bloatware to a minimum, and Windows 11 allows you to configure or hide most of the noisy features. The benefit of this push, however, is clear: features like live video chat enhancement and Windows Studio silliness demand good processing power, and this laptop is incredibly responsive as a result. It zips around as a productivity tool and switches seamlessly to touchscreen mode without a hiccup. This performance focus also necessitated a fast power solution. Dell has included a super-fast battery charger, which makes a huge difference. Maybe this is a new (welcome) standard - but this laptop charges much quicker than I'm used to. This is a great, highly recommended laptop for managing a variety of quasi-professional projects, and thanks to the seamless 2-in-1 functionality, I've even been able to present from it in a pinch.

The Dell Inspiron 14 2-in-1 is a very nice laptop/tablet. I don’t personally use the tablet feature as much as the laptop, but I do use the touch screen often while in laptop form. This laptop isn’t too large or bulky, so it’s perfect for bringing in my backpack for my college classes. The screen size is ideal for what I need for schoolwork, I often have it in splitscreen to have references in one window and whatever assignment I am working on in the other. It is also just the right size to fit on my desk and not take up too much space while I am studying or taking notes. I use ArcGIS Pro for some of my classes, and it downloaded without a problem and runs seamlessly. The keypad is responsive, which is important to me, and it also integrates with a separate mouse very nicely (mine is a wireless mouse with a USB receiver). I have access to all of my files from my Microsoft account through OneDrive, which made setup very quick and easy. So far the battery life on this laptop seems pretty good as well. I would definitely recommend this laptop.

Dell isn't really in the business of making exciting computers - they'd rather focus on more practical, business minded offerings. The Inspiron line is the posterchild for this approach, and while it does offer a few added perks it doesn't do that much to deviate from it. Build quality is good, though slightly unrefined. The case is solid enough and the keyboard feels good to type on. The screen works well in either configuration, though I'll admit I'm a little nervous swapping it from Laptop to Tablet mode. The hinges that drive the transformation are very stiff and require a fair bit of torque to work, more than I feel entirely comfortable with, though it does seem to be loosening up a little over time so hopefully it just needs to be broken in. There's also no kind of magnetic or physical catch to help keep the screen flat against the main body of the laptop in its tablet configuration, which can make the screen feel a little floppy when you're tapping it. Performance wise, the laptop does a bit better. The Ryzen chip is fast, relatively cool, and doesn't drain the battery all that fast doing normal work activities. It'll easily last you most of the day unless you have reason to make heavy use of the GPU or ae doing some serious number crunching. And if you are, the USB-C charging means you can top up your battery just about everywhere. The screen is sharp and easy to read, albeit the colors are a bit muted.

Good overall laptop with a couple quirks

This is an overall good value-priced laptop with the standard features that you would expect in a Microsoft Windows machine - but with the addition of a touch screen. It is a compact unit that performs well overall, but that has a couple things I find to be a bit frustrating. Out of the box, the machine comes as expected. It is simply the PC with a power cord / charger. The setup is as expected, requiring you to provide your WiFi specs so that it can access the Internet and update everything to the latest version. The time to download and install the updates - including reboot and such - was about 10 minutes in my case. Having logged into my Windows account and my Google account, everything was conveniently configured for me. I feel this is a good unit for anyone wanting a touchscreen and a value-priced Windows PC. What I find frustrating is that when opening the screen, it slightly lifts the back end of the PC off the surface (off the desk) by a small amount. This is enough for me to feel deflection in the keyboard as I type. I am particularly frustrated with the touchpad that I have to press VERY hard to perform a 'click / enter'. These two seemingly little things make a big difference for me, which is why I give this unit 4 stars.

    Sleek, quality 2-In-One

The only thing I don’t like is the weight, and that is definitely not a deal breaker. It makes using the two-in-one form a little bulky, but manageable. Overall, this is just a good, solid laptop! Dell is a mainstay PC brand and for good reason. Dependable and well built with good enough customer service for everyday users to get what they need. This model is geared to consumers, not business, but it’s still excellent quality and you get a pretty ice blue color that adds a little style. The quality is especially important with a 360 spine that will see wear over the years. Flip the screen all the way around with confidence and enjoy and easy (albeit a little heavy) tablet experience. The speakers are great for watching a movie or show and the tent mode is perfect for setting on a table or lapses and browsing with a friend. Touch controls on the screen are intuitive and smooth. My senior citizen parents truly enjoyed using it in that mode to scroll photos and websites. Flip the screen back around to laptop format and the backlit keyboard provides satisfying feedback and spacing. AMD is my processor brand of choice and this little 5 series does not disappoint. The whole unit is zippy and run Windows 11 and Copilot without a hitch in my experience. LOVE the fast charging!! I would buy with confidence for anyone who needs a dependable laptop with the added fun of that two-in-one form factor. Those can be tricky and this one seems like they nailed the combination of solid build and fun.

    Solid laptop

I will preface this review by saying my usual daily computer is my 2024 MacBook Air, but prior to owning my MacBook, I was a long time PC user. This laptop seems like it will be a very solid laptop to have at home. It has a touchscreen, which is very helpful while using the computer, however the screen clarity difference compared to my MacBook Air is very noticeable - this laptop’s screen seems more pixelated than my Air’s. That being said, in my experience, you will always have that to some extent with touchscreen computers. I trialed this laptop with a video call, and the speakers, camera, and mic were all as expected, and neither I nor the person I was talking to experienced any issues with the call volume or video. One downside I found - that honestly boils down to more of a personal preference for me - was that the computer seemed heavier than other similar sized computers (both Windows and my Air), which would discourage me from carrying it in my backpack while commuting on public transportation.
