Awesome Everyday Computer

The Dell Inspiron 14” Laptop is an awesome everyday computer. It boots fast with the SSD and an AMD Ryzen 5. The 2K display looks really bright and crisp. I like the finger print reader for fast login and the back lit keyboard. The touch screen works well. I loved having all the different ports with the small form factor. Also it has good battery life to get you through the day.
I tried out a few things with this like everyday tasks of reading e-mails, surfing the web, and word processing. I liked the feel of the keyboard and felt like my fingers could just fly across the board. I didn't have any issues with the touch pad activating when typing. I used the screen in every position. With the tent and standee modes I streamed movies. The keyboard didn't activate while in these positions and the sound was good. This was probably my favorite thing with this laptop because it was just so convenient. In tablet mode I played some touchscreen games like Blizzard Hearthstone. This was very fast, responsive, and clear. I had a video appointment and the camera, mic, and sound worked well.
A few things I noted while reviewing this were that I was surprised it wasn't a little thinner. I have a very similar Dell from 10 years ago that is thinner than this and has the same functionality. Also I thought this was a tad heavy. My hands fatigued holding this in tablet mode. It was hard to wake up the screen in tablet mode too. I had to get the keyboard to activate for the computer to wake up. I also wish this had a 1 TB SSD so there was space to do more like video editing.
Overall I would recommend this for everyday computing and light gaming. I found it very beneficial to have the different screen positions and not just a novel feature. I loved how compact it was. None of the negatives totally swayed me away from this, they were just a few things that would of put this over the top for me.

The Dell Inspiron 14 7445 2 1 is a great contender in the 2-in-1 market. For me, it hits that sweet spot where the price-to-performance ratio peaks - it's got significantly more horsepower than entry-level portable computers, yet the price premium isn't much higher than buying the entry-level models.
In the box, you get the laptop itself and the power adapter.
This is a 2-in-1 device, so you can use it in the traditional laptop form factor, or flip the touchscreen display around and use it like a tablet. I was impressed with the quality of construction - everything seems solid, and on a device like this, hinges will take a lot of use, and they are absolutely solid. I do not have any doubt that this device will last many open/close/extend-to-tablet cycles without issue. The outer plastic is a standard type you see on laptops these days, but it doesn't flex or give at all. The device feels sturdy - it has heft, but it's not heavy. All of these traits contribute to the quality feel aspect of this device. The color is described as "Ice Blue," but if you look at it lying on a table, you'd probably say it's a light gray.
The 14-inch touchscreen is bright and boasts a 1920x1200 resolution, so slightly over FHD. It is a touchscreen that works fine, but I don't use it all that often unless the device is in tablet mode. The screen itself is very glossy or reflective, and it collects fingerprints quite easily. The device's keyboard is tactile and feels natural in my larger hands. The power button features an integrated fingerprint sensor, and once set up, it makes logging into the device a breeze. Connectivity is adequate, including two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, an HDMI port, a full-size SD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The machine features an AMD Ryzen 5 8640HS CPU, a solid mid-range processor capable of handling everyday tasks like web browsing, streaming movies, light to moderate gaming, and Office applications with ease. The included 16GB of RAM is a long-term benefit, allowing you to run multiple applications simultaneously and support newer, more RAM-intensive programs. With 512GB of SSD storage, most users will find it sufficient for installing a variety of mainstream apps, some games, and storing photos and movies. Graphics performance was reliable; though I don't push it hard—I enjoy playing Minecraft, and my son was able to play Roblox without any issues. Based on the specifications, you could likely run some of the latest popular games at lower FPS.
Battery life is surprisingly good if you keep the screen brightness down and you're not doing taxing things like gaming, watching movies. I didn't run it in a marathon session, but for general web browsing, I only had to charge it every couple of days.
There's not much here not to like. More USB-C ports would have been a nice addition, as one of the ports is occupied by the wall charger when using the device on the charger. It also displays a message at boot-up if I'm using a non-Dell-branded charger, which I found a bit odd, since we all have tons of USB-C charging options nowadays.
The bottom line here is that this is a well-built, capable machine that delivers in the value to specifications department. It's an ideal choice for students, professionals, or really anyone wanting a well-rounded laptop that should last for years.

Multipurpose Laptop - Good for Everything

In the box is the laptop, the power cord and a tiny sheet with a QR code for setup.
First Impression - This is a good laptop for general use. Simplicity is a good description if I had to describe this laptop in one word. Turning it on was simple, after plugging it in–just press the fingerprint detection button. Setting up the laptop was just as easy as taking it out of the box. You can also either set up the laptop on your phone (android or iOS) through the QR code, or set it up manually on the laptop. The laptop has a headphone jack, an SD port, 2 USB-C, 2 USB, and an HDMI port. So plug in’s are seamless.
So far this laptop has done nothing but run smoothly. The laptop does hold a bit of weight to it, and is a bit heavier than what I am used to. The keys are backlit, and aren’t too loud when pressed. They also have a nice stiff feeling to them. The size of the keyboard, in my opinion, took me some time to get used to. Having a keyboard and mousepad this big was a nice new experience. The touchscreen runs just as smooth as the keyboard and you can fold the screen all of the way back to put the laptop into tablet mode. Once in said mode, the keyboard no longer works just the screen.
The laptop’s speakers are pretty loud, so if you want a laptop to watch videos/movies you can hear them perfectly! It’s also pretty good for simple games, like roblox, minecraft, etc. But for more complex games, it may lag a bit. All of the document apps work really well on this. So if you are planning to buy a laptop for work or school, this laptop is also a really good for multipurpose use.
The battery life is really good; you can get up to 12 hours of continuous use without having to charge it! And even when needed, the charge time of the laptop isn’t long.
All in all, this is a great laptop to buy for its multifunctional use, battery life and tablet mode.
I would recommend this product to friends and family and I would purchase again.

Awesome Laptop for school and home office

I have been using the Dell Inspiron 14" 2-in-1 FHD+ Touch Screen Laptop with AMD Ryzen 5, 16 GB of memory, and a 512 GB solid state drive for about a week now, and it has been excellent for my home office work. Once I finished setting it up, everything ran smoothly, and it quickly became my go-to device for emails, documents, and light multitasking throughout the day. The overall experience feels fast, responsive, and reliable, which is precisely what I needed.
One of my favorite features is the AI-enabled video chat. The auto-framing keeps me centered on the screen as I move around, and the AI-enabled eye contact helps me look more engaged during calls, even when I glance at notes or another part of the screen. It makes my virtual meetings feel more professional and natural, without me having to adjust the camera constantly.
In terms of performance, the latest AMD Ryzen 8000 Series processor powers through my daily activities. Whether I am running multiple browser tabs, office applications, or streaming content in the background, everything runs smoothly. The slim and lightweight design makes it easy to carry around the house or slip into a bag if I need to work elsewhere, so I never feel weighed down by my laptop.
The media experience is impressive as well. Dolby Atmos audio creates a rich, realistic soundstage that makes music, movies, and videos more immersive, just as the artist intended. Combined with the bright FHD+ touch screen, it is a pleasure to use for both work and relaxation.
I also appreciate how adaptable the design is. The 360-degree hinge lets me switch effortlessly between laptop, stand, tent, and tablet modes depending on what I am doing. It is convenient when I want to watch videos, share my screen with someone next to me, or browse in tablet mode. The optional active pen support is an excellent bonus for natural writing, whether it is jotting down notes, journaling, or marking up documents.
Overall, this Dell Inspiron 14" 2-in-1 has been a fantastic addition to my home office setup. It combines strong performance, innovative AI features, a flexible design, and an eye-friendly viewing experience into one dependable and enjoyable laptop.

Dell’s Convertible Gets the Fundamentals Right

This Inspiron 14 2-in-1 has been a very positive experience, striking a great balance between premium build quality and high performance—all without adding a lot of distracting digital noise.
First, the durability is excellent. The hinges are strong and smooth, which is critical for any convertible, and the screen feels solid and good to touch. Dell also paid attention to the tactile experience of the keyboard; the haptics are satisfying, making long periods of typing comfortable. I also like the aesthetic: the display is bright, feels spacious due to the slim bezels, and generally runs close to the edge of the casing. Even the speakers are surprisingly decent. Given the hardware limitations of a slim laptop, the sound quality is actually pretty good. All of this without being noticably heavy or bulky.
The biggest hidden win here is how Dell approached the current wave of "AI powered" features. There's a dedicated Copilot key, which I probably won't ever press, but that's the extent of the disruption. They’ve kept the preloaded AI bloatware to a minimum, and Windows 11 allows you to configure or hide most of the noisy features. The benefit of this push, however, is clear: features like live video chat enhancement and Windows Studio silliness demand good processing power, and this laptop is incredibly responsive as a result. It zips around as a productivity tool and switches seamlessly to touchscreen mode without a hiccup.
This performance focus also necessitated a fast power solution. Dell has included a super-fast battery charger, which makes a huge difference. Maybe this is a new (welcome) standard - but this laptop charges much quicker than I'm used to.
This is a great, highly recommended laptop for managing a variety of quasi-professional projects, and thanks to the seamless 2-in-1 functionality, I've even been able to present from it in a pinch.
