This laptop provides enough resources to get on the internet and remote into the office network and computer.

Won't Buy from Best Buy again

I have had a Dell laptop for less than two months and have been having issues with the screen reverting to portrait vs. landscape - which is what I would like. Best Buy won't help as they say the warranty was for 15 days only. If we want help it would cost at least $40. I would not recommend them as they aren't backing their products.

I would give a 0 if possible. Your customer service department is the worst I have ever experienced. Due to a merge of my accounts, you lost my $470 in reward points as well as disconnecting my credit card from my acct. After 60 phone calls Im told sorry and nothing can be done. I emailed CEO and SVP to see if the could assign a customer advocate with no response. I will never buy from them again.

This laptop is the worse laptop I have ever used. The screen will randomly just go black while I am using it and then whatever im working in is just lost. I have completed the set up, done the updates, and still it does this. It brings you to the bios screen everytime. I have run diagnotics , used the antivirus program and nothing fixes it. I use the laptop for work and I have never been so frustrated with an electronic device.

Overall purchasing experience was horrendous. I advised several members of Best Buy of the issues I experience.
First laptop arrived damage, returned at direction of Best Buy via UPS. I, as a customer, continuously chased for my refund. In the meantime, I had to pay for new laptop while waiting for refund of damage one.
Additionally, Microsoft 365 personal edition 15 month subscription purchased at $69.99 with original laptop was canceled without my confirmation. Again, I continuously chased for resolution and informed I would need to purchase 12 month for $99.99 with no explanation why original subscription was canceled without my consent. BBB review submitted as well.

Disappointed with this purchase. After just 8 months, the laptop stopped working and emitted a burning smell. Dell quoted $650 for repairs—nearly the cost of the laptop itself. Not worth the investment.
There should be a 0 star option.

I got it on Jan 10th, and I was loving the computer, I used it as usual, went to sleep and the next day (feb 18th) it just didn't turned on ever again. I would have take it to warranty but I live in Costa Rica and bought it in Orlando when went there for vacation. This is so sad cause I was excited about my new laptop, until it just died.

Extremely disappointed. I purchased this laptop in October and it stopped turning on. When I contacted Best Buy they recommended I buy their warranty. Dell covers the computer since it is less than 1 year, but there are no service center in Maryland.

This is a great laptop! We needed a windows based laptop for our 7th grader to use in school. Chromebook’s are great starter laptops but they just can’t keep up with the demands of middle school. I was looking for something similar in size to the existing Chromebook and settled on this 14” screen model.
The features are stacked in this laptop, processing power, memory, incredible screen and robust battery life!
Immediately when opening the box and yanking out the laptop you can tell the construction is greater than most (outside of Apple) and love the use of aluminum in the case. Almost 4lbs makes this a boat anchor when it comes to portable laptops BUT I am hoping that translates well to being durable. Other features that sold me where the 2 in 1 design and flexibility in not just being a standard laptop. There is an optional pencil to capitalize on the touch screen if you wanted to take notes when you convert it to tablet mode.
Dell does a great job with tech specs vs. price in this model and having tons of reasons to last a few years in school. I do appreciate the standardized USB-C charging and holy moly the screen is vivid. That was one of the first observations of my 13 year old vs his Chromebook, almost 3 times the resolution with the same screen size! Plus Dell utilizes a technology that reduces the amount of harmful blue light emissions that come off that incredible screen.
Battery life was respectable and a full day of school drained it down to about a quarter remaining. I suspect as he uses it for more coding and 3D printing software, it will not last as long. When battery life does get called into question, charging it is expedited using Dell’s ExpressCharge technology which in 60 minutes will charge the battery to 80%. The keyboard feels solid and has a nice backlight feature. You get all the necessary connection ports ,6 total, that you would expect that consist of HDMI out, USB x 4, SC card reader, and headphone ports. I do like the built in slider that closes/blocks the camera.
The fingerprint reader is a nice touch for easier access when you need to password protect your laptop. With that ease of access also comes something you wouldn’t usually expect from a laptop but the speakers do put out decent volume and quality. Dolby Atmos technolgy is incorporated into the speakers and when you compare to newer Macbook Pros it does sound decent. I would expect that volume to come from a much larger sized laptop.
This was definitely a HUGE jump up from a middle of the road Chromebook, we took a chance on getting something that should last longer based on his needs in school. Intel’s new core7 processor paired with 16gigs of memory and a 1TB SSD hard drive, it should be exactly what’s needed as the classes and curriculum gets more challenging.
My 7th graders review - Stuff loads super fast, the screen is phenomenal, I have so much more storage for software and homework. It also has much better speakers and lasted me the whole day! This computer is going to be perfect for me.

Had it for 6 months and it broke and was completely inoperable. BB said it was "out of warranty" so I had to pay $100 to get it fixed or buy a new one.
