I own quite a few Dell products and they all work very well, so when it came time to replace my failing Macbook Pro I figured they were a good choice for a low-cost laptop I could build upon. to preface with the kind of activity I use my computer for: i am an artist, and i'm often running high-intensity image programs like Photoshop. i also occasionally play video games. I use it for hobby and for school, as I'm a college student and need something that integrates with the software on the school computers, like OneDrive and Microsoft Office. PROS: - extremely cheap. i'm honestly surprised at how well it performs for the price point. - very attractive looking. it's a uniform black, with a textured surface that doesn't attract fingerprints and a glossy trim. it looks like a more expensive laptop. - it's lightweight and sleek, which is wonderful if you're going to be taking your laptop somewhere frequently. I bring mine to class and it takes up very little space in my backpack; it's thicker than a Macbook, but I don't notice it being any heavier. - although the processor is soldered on, which prevents it from being changed out, pretty much everything else in this laptop can be easily upgraded or changed out in case of damage. you can replace the CD drive, RAM, HDD, and even the keyboard. the process (other than actually accessing some of these parts, which i will discuss below) is a no-brainer, even for someone with basically no experience working with computer parts. - it is incredibly quiet. all HDDs make some noise when they're being put under pressure, but even with high-intensity use this laptop is whisper-soft. - it comes with Windows 10, which integrates well with most programs that are used for school and work purposes

Great starter computer if you're looking for decent performance for pennies. Not even remotely capable of being used for high level gaming. Great if you want to start using a cheap computer for small stuff like beginner video editing or voice acting.

got this for my daughter since her old computer got stolen and needed something not too expensive but quick since she is in college. She absolutely loves it, loved it more then her much more expensive Asus. Felt it was easy to use and very fast.

This computer does what I wanted to do once I added an extra four gig memory card. Not a machine for playing games but that's not what it's meant for and not what I bought it for

Pros : - Decent configuration - Good price (I paid $269 for open-box) - Nice screen size and quality - I bought for my young cousins for their homework and entertainment - Really they don't need MacBook Cons - Not meant for gaming - No SSD (can't really ask for this price, though I did a manual upgrade) Overall good for all the general purpose, nice and reliable

I was worried that because of the price The Dell would not be able to do what I was hoping for ,but when I opened it up and turned on and started using it I found that it everything that my Desk Top could do and quicker.

Keyboard is overly sensitive, jumping me to new places and back into my messages Requiring constant re-writes ... Guess overall still good for the price.. Is there a setting I could change to help this situation?

This computer was very affordable for its quality. It is a solid performer and meets all of our computing needs. We do not play video games so we cannot speak to its capabilities if you were to use it for that.

Its a nice Dell laptop, it was in my price range too. Had Dells in the past so it was a win win for me. The Windows 10 is alot different to use that took awhile to get the hang of, but its a good laptop so far,

This laptop has everything I needed to replace my old one; plenty of memory and enough ports, plus a disc drive. The only downside is that the key board is not lit, making hard to use in a darker environment.

My experience in purchasing my Del at your store was fair. The person that helped me writing up my purchase order was very hyperactive and rushing of which it made me feel uncomfortable at the time of purchase I feel he should have toned down his approach and mannerism to a customer, although he managed to put on a smile, now when I picked up my laptop (Del) at the service center area this you male reminded me after I had asked him a few small questions about the operation of this laptop, reminded me that a customer was waiting (I did have an appointment) I feel as though I was told to leave as soon as possible, he could have been more courteous to me and not make a statement like that to a customer.

Good bang for my buck. The keyboard is my only issue. Would have liked a number pad. A-

First let me say I was sceptical about any computer with Windows 10 but since you can't find one without it I bough the deil Inspiron and really have been happy with it. Easy to setup and navigate.

I wasn't sure what laptop to buy, this one suits my need. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Runs smoothly, no issues so far, great price, and it fit my budget. Performs very well. Battery life is good. Good screen resolution, lightweight, great WiFi connection l would definitely recommend this computer to anyone looking to buy a reasonably priced laptop.

I have been using this laptop for the past 2 months and I really have no complaints at all. It does exactly what I need it to do. The speed is ok, it's not too heavy and I use it everyday. Just what I wanted at a price that I was very happy with. Thanks Best Buy! If you are in the market for a basic laptop then you can't go wrong with this one.

very good price for a new laptop. fast and very progressive

A good Little laptop. Having a 64 bit OS with 4 gig of memory is useless. BB sold me wrong memory. (not so geeky). A pain in the butt to add memory. Need to take keyboard out and disconnect the ribbon connectors. Remove DVD Player, Hard drive and complete bottom of unit and CAREFULLY remove the bottom. I'm an IT pro so I know better. This part is not for the non-experience laptop user. Also make sure you have IT tools with real small Philips head screw drives and patience. Once upgraded to 8 gig (max) of ram runs like a champ. Not for high end gaming. Good for everyday business use and normal household use.

This laptop is great for school and business work. It has enough memory and the hard drive space. It has HDMI, USB, and CD drive. However, there is no microsoft office and the antivirus is a trial version. You can also add more memory to this laptop. It will be helpful if they could add free microsoft office and antivirus.

This laptop works well for a non-gamer. Adequate memory and storage for everyday use. I only wish the left click key had a better touch, needs to be more sensitive.
