Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the Inspiron 15.6" laptop's excellent performance, impressive graphics card, and fast SSD as major strengths. Many also appreciate its good screen quality, long battery life, and reasonable price. However, some users find the laptop somewhat heavy and note that the fan can be noisy during intensive use. A few customers also suggest that the storage capacity could be improved.

I bought this laptop primarily for work, and so far it has delivered. The speakers seem to be really above average for a laptop, and the screen has really nice, crisp display. Even though I've only been using it for a little over a week, I have no complaints so far, and I feel like that it was a great deal, as I got it on sale.

I have had this laptop for little while now wanted to give it a good test before reviewing it. I added a 750 GB hybrid drive in the open 2.5 inch bay that was open and that really helped the one slightly down side that this laptop has. The battery easily last 6 to 7 hours at medium settings and the IPS is pretty good for everything that I use it for. Gaming I haven't done a ton but I played rainbow six Vegas siege and it ran at a smooth 60 fps at highest settings. I have also wirelessly streamed my xbox one to it and that also worked pretty well. All in all it is serving everything I need it too. I was pretty sceptical on buying a Dell again as the last one I bought around 10 years ago was junk. I will recommend to others.

    Best Gaming Laptop under $1,000?

I will certainly think so. The laptop runs game and softwares very smoothly. I don't play much game other than LOL, and I know this laptop is an overkill. I really like the design of the laptop. It does not have a plastic finish like most laptop. The texture of the cover feels rubberized. The design does not look very gamer like and it is not as heavy as my ROG 17 inch. The only problem I have is the wifi card. The connection speed is not as fast or stable compare to an external wifi USB receiver.

I've used a variety of gaming laptops over the years, from dirt cheap to really expensive. Despite its relatively low cost I find that this one can keep up with many of the high end models. It can provide a steady 60fps on most games on high graphics, and it handles heat a lot better than most gaming laptops I've used.

I was very happy to see best buy was carrying the 7567 that has the GTX 1050ti with the IPS screen ($50 upgrade from dell) instead of the TN panel which was reviewed very low. The screen is a vast improvement over the TN panel which you can see on the cheaper model. The SSD also help the laptop boot up in about 13 seconds right now. I am very happy with the computer so far, the GTX 1050ti has great power for most modern titles and should stay relevant for a while. The keyboard does have shallow keys which require moderate pressure.

Arguably the best bang for your buck in a gaming laptop. The 1050ti is more than capable to play any brand new game on medium settings and still get 60fps. Slightly older titles you can play on Ultra and expect 60fps no problem.

I got this laptop to run some heavy programs like solid works, visual studio and do some gaming on the side. This laptop runs everything just fine. I don't think I have heard the fans kick on yet! I did find that some web based games can't seem to read the directx correctly. I have found work arounds so far. The keyboard is responsive. You know when you hit a button and so far not overly sensitive so I haven't experienced a double tap. The built in mouse is sensitive in the beginning but adjusting the settings fixed that. The screen looks great. I haven't seen any glitches in the Windows 10 system so far. I have had it about 2 months now.

1080p IPS screen with an HQ processor and 1050ti. This is a perfect entry-level gaming laptop when on sale. I got it for $600 and that comes out to a bit cheaper than building your own desktop and luckily it's a laptop! No issues thus far and it hasn't slowed down.

Purchased for my son who's a college student. He's a part-time gamer so he wanted a computer that could handle the software needed for some of his classes, while not sacrificing the speed required for gaming, This seems to be a good fit for what he needed.

    - Build: Strong build for plastic construction with slight flex at the screen. Single screw for easy future hardware upgrades. - Hardware: Keeps good temps and fan noise is moderately good, but better with headphones. Only cons: Low storage (will need upgrade but upgrading is easy and flexible) Even with IPS panel colors are okay, but brightness is meh for me. That's it. A lot of pros with not a lot of cons at this price point. Review would be too long to list out the pros. Good at the current price and unbeatable with sales and discounts, so keep an eye out.

I was quite hesitant purchasing this Dell laptop in the beginning, but I was not willing to spend more than $1,000 just for a traveling gaming PC. So far, I haven't had any issues with my Dell. I've been able to play my usual games from my custom built high end PC, though in some cases in lower settings, but nothing too terrible. The fan can get quite loud, but I honestly didn't expect any less from a laptop. I monitor temperatures both at idle and full load, nothing alarming, but it sure gets pretty hot. Again, can't expect much less from a laptop.

Wanted a capable laptop that I could do some gaming on. The ease of access to upgrade the components and the extra slot for a 2.5 hard drive sealed the deal for me. Also comes with IPS panel which replaced the TN panel in older models is a plus. Speakers sound great, battery life lasts long enough for a full days work , and back lit keyboard are all pluses. 1050ti is plenty capable for me and the games I will be playing. I would buy again.

I got a laptop with great specs, including a discrete graphics card, at a great price. I am very pleased with this purchase. A few things to note: The laptop feels bulky. It's definitely bigger than my last laptop in the same size range but they had to put all those components somewhere and it's not hugely different. My favorite feature thus far is the speakers though. My last computer had one small speaker and it was a nightmare for watching movies or listening to music. The speakers on this system are great.

Graphics card is the key for gamers. You have to toggle / set up which games you want to run with the graphics card as it has a on board graphics card for normal use which is a good idea as not avoid burning out the Nvidia one.

I went to my local store to buy a new computer, and the agent talked me out of the one I had in mind to buy. This computer doesn't have the hard drive space or memory of the Samsung I was going to buy. The agent insisted this was a far better computer than the Samsung (always had a Samsung). I have had it only a week and I am getting messages that my hard drive space is almost used up. I haven't even loaded my games into this computer yet. I play Farmville 2 and it doesn't run any better on this computer than my Samsung windows 7. How will my Sims games play? So, be careful not to always listen to the agent and check out the specifications before buying. That was my fault. Also, I am not a fan of the red back lit keyboard. Now I am off to buy an external hard drive.

Have been very pleased with this laptop, it runs the latest games above 60 FPS and CSGO goes for 120 and above, so great laptop for the price. Did the math and if you try to build something with similar specs gets a lot pricier, so overall is a very great laptop for the price. A plus is that you are able to expand the RAM and also add an SSD drive, the battery is about 4 hours. Build quality is good and tough.
