    I like this computer. The speed could be better and initial connection to wifi a bit clearer, but over all for the price it's hard to beat

    My fault...I was in such a rush to buy a computer and didnt want to spend a lot on this purchase. I guess you get what you pay for....I have had many computers in the past which were a delight to own but this was my fault being in a hurry. Too many small go wrong things that go on with this computer from time to time. I've read the reviews the other day on this laptop and it makes me think...did I get a lemon?

    Lost all data. Had to reinstall OS. Dell was charming in helping me. Best Buy said they would charge me to diagnose the problem

      @Bhubb, Thanks for your recent Dell laptop purchase. We're glad to hear that it's meeting your needs. If you'd like some tips about speeding up your device a little we'd suggest the following: Delete temporary files and directories - 1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box. 2. Run disk cleanup and eliminate unneeded temporary files (Search results, Internet Cache and other windows temp files you may no longer need) 3. Select files you want to delete then click OK to start the cleanup process. Uninstall applications you no longer use - 1. Open the Programs and Features application in Control Panel. 2. Scan the list of applications installed for ones that you no longer use. 3. Highlight any application you no longer use and then click the uninstall button at the top of the list. Follow the prompts to uninstall. 4. Repeat for each application you want to uninstall. Move large files and/or seldom used files to backup media (Photos, Music you seldom listen to, application downloads after the application has been installed etc.). 5. Empty the Recycle Bin.     You get what you pay for and this laptop doesn't disappoint. It's slow, cumbersome and nothing special. Have had several issues with it ranging from Blue Tooth malfunctions to Plug/Adaptor incompatibility (even though I'm using the Adaptor that came with it). Okay for basic computing needs and surfing but other than that it's disappointing, doesn't live up to it's advertising claims and I don't recommend it.

    I bought this computer for my 'man cave'. Have it on a remote thru house wiring, Doing very well given it's circumstances.

    cool features, ungodly slow

    This system has some nice features (full keyboard with digit pad, touchscreen), but it is so slow that you cannot overlook it. After all updates and removing a lot of bloatware, it still took almost 2 mins to boot and login. lots of delay opening apps, bad enough that you click again thinking you must not have double clicked. Spend a few more $ and get a better system with at leat an I5 proc and an ssd.

    We had this laptop for less than a year and the hard drive crashed lost a lot of files could not recover them.

    I have an old Toshiba with Vista. It's faster then this laptop. I use the old vista machine more than the new Dell Inspiron. I had to buy a new machine because things won't work with vista now. But this machine is so slow I can't stand working on it. Waste of money as far as I'm concerned.
