    Waste of Money

I needed a temporary computer for about 6 months until I was able to purchase a new macbook. I didn't really care about how clunky and heavy it was, I just needed it to get me through my last few months of school. This is the slowest, most frustrating computer I've ever used. Luckily Best Buy is awesome and let me return it and exchange it for the Macbook Air!

Impulse purchase based on sale price. The computer is slow, clunky, keyboard mouse is so unresponsive I have to use an external mouse. I must say the salesperson at Best Buy was very helpful and knowledgeable. He showed us the memory usage on this machine and warned us it would be problematic. I am sorry I bought it, don't make the same mistake.

Worked well for about half a year. Rather slow but was expected with only an i3 processor. Sometimes takes over 15 minutes to boot up. Many time it says that the battery is not compatible with the computer but it is the one that came with it. So many more problems that I would recommend people to stay away from it.

Auto back up crashes the laptop. Dell Customer support sucks. If I had not bought it at Best Buy and had their Geek Squad help, this thing would be in the dump. Have already had a hard drive replaced. Then got a Dell Update and the thing crashed again. Does not work. Microsoft plus Dell and Windows 10 is a recipe for disaster.

Shahed, Thanks for your review and for expressing your concerns. If you are still experiencing problems with the computer not turning on we'd recommend the following steps:
      1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
      2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
      3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
      4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
      5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
      6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
      7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.
You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2uj1Sby.
If you'd like to try to speed up your computer we'd recommend the following: Delete temporary files and directories
      1. Click Start, then in the search bar type "disk". Disk Cleanup should appear on the menu above the search box.
      2. Run disk cleanup and eliminate unneeded temporary files (Search results, Internet Cache and other windows temp files you may no longer need)
      3. Select files you want to delete then click OK to start the cleanup process. Uninstall applications you no longer use
      1) Open the Programs and Features application in Control Panel.
      2) Scan the list of applications installed for ones that you no longer use.
      3) Highlight any application you no longer use and then click the uninstall button at the top of the list. Follow the prompts to uninstall.
      4. Repeat for each application you want to uninstall.
      5. Move large files and/or seldom used files to backup media (Photos, Music you seldom listen to, application downloads after the application has been installed etc.).
      6. Empty the Recycle Bin.

I have had this laptop for 2 years and maybe used it 5 times because it takes a good 40 minutes to turn on and is super slow. I wish I would have returned it back when I bought it but didn't use it enough to realize it since I have a work laptop that I primarily use.

It was slow to start and then got slower as the week went on. I bought the computer for my mom she did not need a fast computer, but this was ridiculous to the point she complained. She brought back to Best Buy they were great, they had problems with it too, returned for full refund.
