Low screen resolution, bad SD card fitting

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Good general speeding for working, but the maximum screen resolution goes only to 1366 x 768. My previous laptop was 1920 x 1080 iris full hd... what makes this dell looks like a 90's laptop in terms of general graphic performance. Also, the SD card doesn't fit all the way in the computer, stays 1/4 outside the laptop body, what can be very inconvenient (and ugly) to put the laptop in and out your briefcase.

Great PC for the price. Only gave 3 stars due to Wireless not supporting AC and Ethernet only 10/100. Also only 1 USB3 port.

    Disappointed. Incredibly slow

Really really slow computer even to do very basic stuff. Takes about 2 minutes just to open any program or even Chrome. I bought this lap top because I didn't want to spend 800 bucks as My wife and I are using it for basic things (excel and internet) at home. We knew it was not going to be super fast but would never expected to be this bad. We are buying another one but will be somewhere else.

this is an exelent laptop for regular use and light gaming. the problems with this laptop are all focused around its charging and battery. the charger is very unrelyable and the battery is even worse as soon after buying the battery became unable to charge and i would have a constant message saying *plugede in, not charging*. i could only recomend this if you want to have it plugged in constantly.

      - dumnis, We're sorry to hear about the battery troubles that you've been having. We'd recommend that you try the following battery saving tips:
      Change the Power Plan:
      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
      1) Click on the Action Center icon within the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      2) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      3) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      4) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      5) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      6) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.
You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2vfXWf4.
We hope this helps your battery last longer. - Bryan Dell

will not charge and speakers crackle

I was so excited for my new business laptop. I read the reviews, and it appeared good. The laptop was GREAT until just after the 15 day Best Buy return policy deadline ended. Then, the laptop crashed. It will not charge. The computer does not recognize the power cord. The cord socket is way too loose and it won't stay plugged in to the computer. And the speakers are useless due to a loud crackling sound. Best Buy won't allow me to return even though I've had it only 3 weeks. And Dell warranty representatives are implying it could be "user error" and they might not fix it. Really???!!! Dell wants me to buy a box, pay return shipping, and leave the computer with them for at least 10 days plus the shipping time. A complete dud! Now I have to buy ANOTHER laptop. UGH!!! This is Dell and Best Buy! Why the haggle??

    Greatly disappointing!

Once you're logged on the internet it's a great computer. The problem is getting there! From start-up to browsing it's taking an average about a minute and a half or longer. I already done all the updates, got rid of some bloatware, and it still is extremely slow at start-up. I'm taking it to geek squad tomorrow and maybe it's a lemon, if not I'm returning it!

    Terrible Computer

I bought this computer just over a year ago. At first it was great! It was my first computer, and it worked great! After several months, the keyboard stopped working. It was within the year, so I sent it in, and they fixed it. It worked again for a few months before failing again. First the keyboard stopped working again, and then it wouldn't even turn on. It lasted barely more than a year.
