This laptop rules, bought it during black Friday upgraded ram to 16 gigs. Very fast laptop before and after upgrade, plenty harddrive space, wireless transmits to TV. You can't go wrong, if I needed a second laptop, would not hesitate to buy a second even at a little more money.

Purchased this laptop as a gift for my 5th grader. She absolutely loves it. The speed, built in features and touch screen are more than we expected for the price (Black Friday Deal!!!!).

This is a laptop with lots of memory, is fast, and the touchscreen makes it even faster by eliminating need for a mouse. I love it so far (but only had it for 2 months)

I bought this laptop to serve as hour family computer so that we can also take it with us on vacations if we choose so. It is a great purchase for a great price. Although I got it for a major discount during the Black Friday sale, I still would have bought this computer from Best Buy when it was regular price because Dell computers last a long time and I was not able to find a computer with these specs for less than $600 in other places. We mostly use our computer for word processing and research, storing photos and phone contacts, and storing music.

After buying laptops for 2 of my children I finally decided to get one for myself. I purchase HP's for the kids and wanted to get one for myself. I came across this Dell and it had everything I was looking for in regards to operating system and memory, plus the price was awesome. I have used Dell computers at work for the last 15 years and know they are great so I purchased this one and am very happy. I would highly recommend this to anyone who plays games, has tons of pictures and videos or just wants something to surf the web with. Great purchase.

This laptop covers touch screen, 8GB RAM, 1 TB Hard disk. For hardcore gamers we don't have graphics card but this satisfies the basic and advanced users. This laptop is worth for money :)

I bought this Dell laptop on Black Friday for $300 to take with me on extended travel. I wanted something that was decent without spending a fortune in case something were to happen to it. While I'm still getting used to Windows 10, I'd say this is a very good laptop. It has a screen large enough for watching movies. It's fast enough to check email and surf the web. While I'd rather have a MacBook, it's hard to argue against a machine this good for a 1/3 of the price.

Bought two if these for my kids on Black Friday. It was the best deal on a touchscreen laptop with an "i" processor. It is not a gaming laptop by any means but it can handle the day to day activities of kids/ teens in school. Bloatware consisted of McAfee and Office trial version etc. the usual suspects. Nothing egregious IMO. Computers that come with Windows 10 pre-installed do not get the Microsoft app to play DVDs free as in previous versions of Windows. In this particular model, the laptop came with Power DVD v12 instead. This software could not play DVDs so I installed the free VLC player instead of upgrading the Power DVD software. VLC works perfectly, is far more versatile, and solved the playback issue. Overall I would recommend this laptop to anyone with low to mid level computer needs. It does not have a dedicated video card so it will not work well for any program that is graphic intense. However, it can run MS Office programs very well and can play media with ease (with the right software installed). Wireless connectivity is good but will largely depend on your set up at home or office. The machine is heavier than an ultra thin computer, but for me at least having a dvd drive was a plus. Battery life is good as well. The screen is only 720p, but for a 15inch screen it is good enough. Touch screen is responsive. If you have a young user I recommend using a mouse, The keyboard is sturdy but the track pad does not feel like it can take a lot of abuse. Also, keep in mind that the machine is glossy black, so it is a fingerprint magnet. Finally, be prepared to install lots of updates from Microsoft and a few from Dell. Also, the first time you try to play a DVD you will need to select the region for the player. I would grade this laptop a B+ to A- in the 300-350 price range.

Purchased this one for my 8th grader. we are very happy with the display, performance, and features, especially the touch screen. Windows 10 rocks!!! Her daily homework takes about 3-4 hours of work in laptop, and has about 5-6 programs and 8-10 browser tabs open at a time. This machine does the job finely :)

I purchased the Dell - Inspiron 15.6 Touch-Screen Laptop for my husband for Christmas. It's hard picking out a computer for someone else, because a computer is pretty personal, but this is a winner. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 that I am in love with, but my hubby thinks it's too much like a tablet and loves the 15.6 inch screen this Dell has without being too heavy. The touch screen works well and I'm happy with the purchase. I debated between the i3 and the i5, but this was the best choice for the money and it is much faster that the intel celeron he had.

    Good laptop, with quirks.

The laptop that I purchased is good, much better than old one, however it has some quirks to it. For one, the right and left mouse "buttons" are not separate mouse buttons, they are part of the touch pad, which makes for a jumpy pointer when you are playing games that require quick clicking and moving of the mouse. It also has mouse freeze ups, but I am unsure if this is due to the design or Windows 10, as I have heard from other laptop users that their pointer will stop moving until you completely remove your finger from the touch pad and try again. And it does not seem to like it when you click in the same spot repeatedly (again for games) and forces you to move it before you can click again. I love the speed of the computer, but frustrated with the touchpad quirkiness. While I would recommend this computer to others, I would certainly warn them about those quirks right off the bat, so they can make a more informed decision.

I recently purchased this computer on a Black Friday special, more or less because I needed a relatively cheap computer for personal use. I have used the computer now for a little over a month and have a few comments/suggestions: 1.) If you're looking for a fairly basic setup, that allows you to surf the Internet, use a spreadsheet, or other relatively simple things, this computer is probably very good for you. 2.) The only real question on whether to buy this is if you can handle small delays in processing (I'm talking instead of a snap of the finger a second or two to load a page im finally getting used to it as I typically use a much faster processor at work) 3.) Buy a mouse, the touchpad drives me nuts. 4.) Get used to the keyboard, there is no backlight so I've noticed I make more errors than usual, nothing big, but worth a mention. 5.) The touchscreen works well, I don't use it, but for those of you who want that feature it's pretty nice for such an inexpensive computer. 6.) Speaker quality seems to be ok, I haven't really had an issue yet with it. Basically, all in all, I can't complain on what I got for the price. If you're willing to upgrade every two years or so this is your computer. I'm not going to tell you to go out and get this for work purposes or anything relatively taxing on a computers processing capability, but if you're looking for something simple that gets the job done for personal home computing purposes you won't be disappointed.
