Great budget laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a great budget laptop but not budget performance. With the combo of the SSD and a regular 1 TB drive, I have both performance and speed. Touch screen is a bonus.

Great for Touch Screen
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased it as a computer for my home and a way for my 3yr old to do his activities (ABC Mouse and Noggin) easily during the COVID-19 crisis, it has been a blessing, I was able to connect it to my TV through the Blue Tooth and that is awesome for me when wanting to watch movies with the family, the only issue I have with it is I have to uninstall and reinstall Bluetooth connections to my tv when I want to connect and it doesn't last 7hrs like I initially thought but it does charge fast and as long as you don't have anything connected to it draining the battery it will last a good while. So far so good no other issues.

Good Value
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very good entry-level-ish laptop for basic needs such as checking email, on-line banking, Internet surfing, watching videos as well as Skype, Zoom or Teams video meetings using the built-in camera and mic.. Keyboard & number pad layout is comfortable, processing speed is good and the battery life (unplugged) is well over +/- three hours. The touchscreen is nice but will require you to clean it (properly!) if you use it often. It has three USB and one HDMI port for peripherals. My only gripe is the lack of an optical drive but I just use an extra Dell CD/DVD drive and USB cable I already have.

Nice Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to have for small work projects. One reviewer said that the other internal Hard Drive could not be accessed. I had no issue saving to it and it works great. It is nice to have the storage and the SSD drive makes it pretty fast. I do not really use the touch screen but it seems to work ok. The only negatives were that it was: 1) Windows S mode. Once I googled how to disable that I liked it better. 2)Also, I am having trouble updating the Audio driver. It seems it did not come with the HD audio driver. So if I stream music or a movie to my TV surround sound the it sometimes sounds over modulated.

Basic laptop that required a pro to launch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My 10-year-old Dell laptop died suddenly, and I was forced to replace it. Fortunately, the original Dell was in the hands of a solid tech guy -- because this laptop arrived without an operating system. He installed Windows 10 without incident, transferred old files from my previous laptop and I bought and installed MS Office. The new Dell is far faster than my old one and is doing everything I need a laptop to do. If I had not had access to an expert to handle the original setup, however, I would never have been able to set it up. If that's not an issue, this is a good piece of equipment.

Initial headaches to setup 4 stars out of 5 stars
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Dell to replace my previous Dell laptop from 2013. At 1st the setup was difficult as my husband had to take it out of S mode which i was not made aware of and had read as a problem for other models. But after taking this laptop out of S mode, it took me awhile to connect it with my home wifi, to connect it to my bluetooth headset for WFH, and my admittedly old lexmark printer. That being said once i properly connected the wifi, the wireless printer, and Bluetooth devices, i have not encountered any problems in losing connectivity to any of these devices. The laptop works effortlessly with my work's VPN and remote troubleshooting feature. I also have no problems downloading and using Google Duo, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, online webinars, and can run any of these video conferencing platforms while simultaneously working via our remote server w/o a hitch. I have given it 4 stars for the difficulty i encountered in setting up the wifi, home printer and Bluetooth connections. I did purchase the geek squad telephone assistance but got through to them (after a long wait time) around the same time i figured out the solution to connecting to my home wifi so i didnt need their help after all.
