    this laptop is terrible. First the screen kept going on and off. Now the noise from it is unbearable- fan or whatever? lost $900+ just like that. Never again

    Could not get it to down load photos from phone. Geek squad could not get it to work. Returned it to store. Dell computers are on my no list.

      We're sorry to hear about the issues that you've had turning your computer on. Here are some steps to help turn your computer on:

      1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
      2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
      3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
      4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
      5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
      6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
      7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

    Purchased durning Covid and it was a drive up pick up. Everything went smooth. The line moved fast. I love the laptop and its features are great. It even included a warranty m! So bonus for me!

    Bought this 2 in 1 just over a month ago. First time using the camera for a virtual meeting it would not work. Spent 2+ hours with Dell support without fixing issue. Sent off for repair after being told it would be 5-7 day to fix. The parts are back ordered and will not be available for almost a month, well after I have to leave for college. Dell repair support was of very little help. Just kept referring to the month backlog for parts. Problem noticed to late for return to Best Buy (>30 days). Was initially excited about purchase, now regretting due to horrible customer and repair support.

    We've normally had good experiences with Dell and with Best Buy. We bought this inspiron and it has been a basket of headaches and frustration. We're currently in the process of sending it back for repair for the fourth time! It has spent more time being shipped around the country than in our home. So far it has had a "defective" motherboard replaced twice, the cables had to be "reseated" and now there is a bios problem. If you want a reliable computer for your home office or for the kids distance learning, THIS IS NOT YOUR COMPUTER! The one positive is that everyone we have talked to at Dell and BestBuy/Geek Squad has been very friendly but they have been completely ineffective.

    Don't purchase a certified excellent Open Box!

    My mistake, I thought I would save a few bucks and purchase the Open Box Certified- supposed to be Geek Squad Certified and packaged well, fully functioning. The laptop arrived, bouncing around in a box with absolutely no padding during shipping and once I started it up, it clearly wasn't functioning correctly. The touch pad does its own thing, the screen brightness won't adjust. Such a disappointment. Otherwise it seems to be a great product.
