Nice idea, 2 in 1, not so great for oldsters.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of a laptop with the capability of a tablet however there are many things about this computer, that as a non-techie I just don't get. Not sure if it's the 2 in 1 function or windows 10 that I'm new to, but there is so much change since windows 7, that I am used to, it's pretty frustrating.

Excellent Laptop

My girlfriend loves this thing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my girlfriend who didn't have a laptop. Since she's going to college, I figured this would be helpful. Well, once she got it, she keeps raving about it. Loves the speed, graphics and touch-screen capabilities. Every time she tells me how much she loves this laptop, it brings a smile to my face.

Substantially beat my performance expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After decades of PC use and increasing frustration with decreased performance of the Microsoft Operating Systems my wife and I transitioned to Macs a few years ago and kissed the performance frustration goodbye. How liberating it is to hit the "on button" and actually BE ON in a matter of seconds rather the minutes a two year old Dell/MS computer took to boot up and login. For a couple of years we haven't had to worry about things freezing up, needing to run maintenance programs to clean up the registries and bloatwear and try to restore SOME semblance of the out of the box performance it once had. BUT - the world revolves around MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint and (perhaps intentionally) the MAC versions of those programs are just not as user friendly as the PC based versions. They're plenty good for the occasional document, using basic spreadsheet functions, building a basic presentation but writing a PhD dissertation, managing complex finance projects, etc? ... Not so much. It's not that the products don't contain most of the same functionality - it's just that the interfaces are just not as easy to use. SO, my wife wanted to get a "cheap" PC for those heavy MS Office product tasks. She's an effective computer user but not savvy about what makes a computer fast or slow etc. so when she sees new laptops for $199 she's thinking that will do. She also wanted something dainty ... not a 15 inch screen with a keyboard that included a number pad. So after a fair amount of searching and comparing I zeroed in on the Dell - Inspiron 2-in-1 11.6 Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 8GB Memory - 128GB Solid State Drive and paid $499. Yes there were cheaper models. Yes I could have gotten this with only 4MB of RAM and without the additional expense of a Solid State hard drive. The 2-in-1 screen is nice but not something that either attracted me to it or something that will be used much. Touch screen was not something I was looking for - the only thing that drives me crazy more than a SLOW computer is one with finger prints all over the screen! The processor, memory, and hard drive combination makes this little guy perform REALLY well though. It is not quite MACBook Quick but it's more than acceptable. I am NOT a fan of Windows 10 but I haven't used it enough yet to fairly judge it. This little guy is fast and portable and MS Office feels right at home.

Nice small laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had an open box item of this. i3 is super solid, does all you need for basic HD viewing and web browsing. 128GB is good enough if you have external storage or a main PC for big documents etc. 8GB was a big plus in this category, however one star down for low resolution. I like higher res, even at 11.6".

Little powerhouse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up because of the specs and the price. This 2 in 1 has the best specs next to any 2 in 1, lighting quick and not too shabby as a tablet.

Good On The Road
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This small portable laptop is just what I needed. I have a larger laptop which now stays in the office, and I take this one on the road everyday. I have installed some space hog programs (including QuickBooks) and it still runs well and fast. Unlike others, I like the tiny power button. Like the keyboard. Two small issues: touchscreen is not always responsive & does not always wake up right away from hibernation. Hoping Geek Squad can help me with that. Connects well to projector. Love the option to bend back and use for presentations.
