I bought the Dell Inspiron 7500 2n1 Laptop. And I couldn't be happier with my decision to buy it. First the screen is amazing with the detail and the accurate colors. And this laptop is fast.It more than exceeds my needs and expectations.

After a great amount of shopping for a laptop, I chose this Dell i7, 16GB Ram, 1TB SSD, 32GB Intel. It was between this and the 17" screen, but the 17" is 512GB SSD. I decided to give up the bigger screen for 1TB SSD. I think 1TB helps performance & keep it running well for a longer time. I think it was worth an extra $100 for 1TB. I prefer Dell & have had several that last many years. Good specs on this laptop, multiple ports, nice keyboard for touch typing. The tech person I talked with said it has a lot of good features. My first 2 in 1 with touch screen, so I think I will like that. It's a nice portable size with great specs, and I have found all my Dell computers to be reliable (desktops and a previous 17" laptop that I gave to my daughter). I highly recommend Dell and this laptop.

    Very Happy with this Laptop

It was the only one that had all the features I wanted: touchscreen, backlit keys, 16Ram, 1TB SSD, 10-key pad (and a another that I had not been aware of, a handy stylus in it's on perch that will be useful when flipped over and using as a tablet). The sale price made it a good value. It was easy to use right out of the box and my programs loaded fine. (Love the Asus it is replacing and would have purchased a new Asus except the 10-key design on the Asus has changed and it wasn't as easy for me to use by touch as this 10-key pad. That's an important feature for me and the 10-key on this laptop was the deciding factor.)

I bought this laptop because it has a lot of premium features for a good price and discounted rate for students (I btw am a Computer Science student, and I know, not a whole lot but, bits of tech stuffs to be able to test the performance and tweak things here and there) . I have found the premium features very helpful: for example stylus pen and the touch screen works really well for note-taking for my classes, and the laptop is pretty fast. The laptop is pretty fast most of the time - but it has become laggy for me sometimes everything freezes except the mouse pointer (I had to either press the power button for 5 seconds to turn it of or sign out of the profile using Ctrl + Alt + Delete). Since I bought the laptop ( it has been more than 3 weeks), it has frozen about 3/4 times and shutdown while I was working about 3 times already. Frozen or Shutdown - both cases were no good for my workflow. I am not a hardcore gamer but I play Counter Strike: GO and Asphalt 9 sometimes - I feel like the GPU usage from those games somehow keeps affecting the system performance unless I restart. Yes, I have to restart it after playing games to make sure, just in case, it won't restart automatically when I am working on important things. So, one time the computer gets laggy is when I am playing and after I have played games. Another time it gets laggy is when I am using Virtual Machine (VM). I am working on my web development skills, and I like to run ubuntu on a VM for that. The main system (windows 10) works fine but Ubuntu has a laggy peformance, I don't understand why or how my friend's laptop (with a 12GB ram and all other features down to 75% of this laptop's capacity) gives a better performance on a VM. I saw that Dell support also comments on these reviews. It would be great if you could clarify what I kind of performance I should expect from this laptop. I knew, ofc, that this laptop is not cut out for a hardcore gamer - but I had hoped and thought that this computer will give a similar performance. Does this computer support a video editing software like Adobe AfterEffects if not heavy games like CS:GO?

      Raygray,

Thank you for your review and for purchasing a new Dell computer. We're sorry that your computer's performance is not exactly what you were hoping it would be. One recommendation we have in order to find out about the expected performance for your computer would be to run the Windows Performance Troubleshooter:

      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

Our Engineering team has recommended that you update the NVIDIA Graphics Driver on your computer from this site: https://dell.to/2RhQBF9. Hopefully, these tips will help you to get a smoother performance out of your computer.

It is a wonderful computer. Fast, tons of space, great display, and I love the pen as well as the 2 in 1 capability. The bad.... if I am using it for an extended period of time without a shutdown the touchpad occasionally stops picking up my finger movement. This gets frustrating if I am using it as a LAPtop and do not have my mouse. My major problem though is the fan. IT IS LOUD!!! I turn the computer on and almost always it begins to run. I can just be browsing the internet and it will run. These are my only two problems otherwise it is great.

The specs speak for themselves. The included pen is great, stays locked into its dock, was afraid it may fall out when flipping into tablet mode, it does not. I don't find it to be loud as others say. I think the battery life is great for the screen, processor and GPU it is running. I like the feel of the keyboard, but i get why some may not like it. The layout seems cramped only because my previous laptop was a 17.3 inch screen which offered more room, but after a week or so I was use to it. Best laptop available for the price. I have been using it daily for almost a month and have found no issues as of yet.

I switched from Apple MacBook to this because I was intrigued with the different features like the touch screen that Apple hasn't been able to put into their products. My MacBook crashed on me mid college semester and I am very pleased with this laptop! It is fast and reliable and has a good battery life, I can leave it unplugged for days and it will keep it's life like it hasn't been touched because it automatically turns itself off. Great quality and haven't had any issues when I have a million tabs open trying to finish all my schoolwork.

I use this laptop for teaching school with onsite and distance learners. The versatility of having a 2-in-1 with a touch screen is a definite plus. Since I project text books on a screen, the touch screen makes it very easy to move from page to page. It comes with a stylus that also is useful using the built-in white screen to write words or numbers for the classes to see. The Core i7, 1TB SSD, and 16GB RAM make this an amazingly fast system, which is another definite plus in a teaching environment. Suffice it to say that I am definitely a "Happy Camper" with this Dell!

This machine is quick, the screen is great and the pen was a very pleasant surprise (the pen "garage" also charges it, and magnets make sure it's oriented correctly for charging). I had no problems with setup (I've done it before, but this was especially easy). The only complaint so far is against Microsoft - they updated a driver and loaded their new browser, but at the same time they changed some of my default application choices. Not hard to fix, but shame on them for trying to force their software on me. I've told them how I feel, but I doubt they'll listen.

Super fast Laptop, very good quality and very sleek looking Only thing I didn't notice was the monitor is not square but slightly angled very minor but still doesn't take away from the beautiful graphics it pits out. Driver updates from windows disabled the Bluetooth options and needed support..got it fixed then when rebooted next day Bluetooth was disabled again.mostly Microsoft issue

I have used many brands of computers over the years, but this Dell is the best. The speed of the i7, the graphics of the 4K, plus the amount of space. The best part is the cost, you will not find a better buy! I totally recommend this for the beginner student to the business professional.

I bought this laptop for my daughter. It is very good for students. I didn't find laptop of this configuration for this price and BestBuy reduced the price after I purchase and BestBuy matched it. Great service of BestBuy ( I made two rounds to get it and worth it) and Great Laptop from Dell for the price. My daughter is very picky and she didn't complained yet. She is very happy with the performance so far.

Plenty of storage even using for multi-client work environment and personal use. Love the stylus pen, keyboard has a nice feel, and touchpad is responsive. Lightweight and easily portable. This lap top outdoes my lenovo lap top by far and away. I really enjoy the touch screen and can still use the mouse pad at the same time. The SSD drive increases the overall speed and I hope it lasts a long time. The 4k resolution makes for very good displays and videos!! The best lap top I ever owned!!

I received this product on-time and immediately set it up. I'm not great with technology, yet the set-up was easy, quick, and convenient. It has great features I enjoy, like touchscreen and tablet conversion. It allows multiple screens (with adapter); easy probably because the monitors are Dell too. Excellent laptop that I would purchase again!

I've had my Dell for just over one month. I've enjoyed it! It was an upgrade to my Chromebook, older Dell PC and unfortunately it has replaced my Ipad Pro! The screen is bright, features are incredible and its very powerful. I'm very glad I made this purchase!

This laptop will take some time getting use to since I haven’t had a laptop in over five years. I plan on having this laptop for several years as I work towards my bachelors degree in accounting and prepare to work from home in the future just in case COVID-19 makes a lasting impact on how companies distribute their employees into either a work from home or come into an office category. Having a laptop with all of the bells and whistles makes me feel reassured that I’m prepared as much as possible for the future. After using my laptop for an hour today my battery went from 100% to 86%-85%. During that hour I checked my email, downloaded Chrome, and had a telehealth video call that lasted 15 minutes. I only had three tabs open while in Explorer, then I closed those windows, opened the same tabs in Chrome, and closed those tabs when I was done. During that time and my battery stated that at 85% I had 4 hours and 59 minutes remaining. Finally, now that my laptop has been asleep for about an hour my battery is 81% and has 8 hours and 3 minutes remaining. I’ll see if turning off some apps that may automatically start running when I power on my laptop may be running in the background. I hope that it may conserve my battery life a bit more while doing basic tasks, but until then I’ll be keeping my power cord close by.
