combination of the SSD and I7 processor helps this laptop with a quick startup and great performance when running several apps

So I'll do this in the pro, con, final thoughts fashion Pros: Went with the 7th Gen i7 7500u which has been really fast so far. The keyboard is really easy for me to type on (using it for this review). Sits comfortable in my lap for browsing and typing (I'm a guy, gal mileage may differ). On a full battery the display suggests 9-10 hours of battery but I have yet to test this fully. I like using the "wedge" mode for shows and recipes. Cons: May be a bit large for some @ 15.6". I would have liked to see two USB type C ports and one regular USB 3 port (with USB 3 backwards compatibility, not sure why they would ever put a USB 2.0). Webcam is meh. It's a bit large for tablet mode for me, wont be using it much. Final Thoughts: I got what I wanted from this laptop. Large but portable, latest i7, USB C, large SSD, wireless AC. The overall "feel" of the laptop has been great so far. I would recommend this to anyone at the $1k. I'll update after more usage and report any changes.

so i had a macbook air 11. inch, worked well, and decided i needed more space in hard drive after varios attemps, i finally kept this one, it works great fast and plenty hard disk drive, only if you are very picky like me , sound is good not great and windows doesnt really goes with me, being very patience, after all software and hard ware are different things,hahaha, all in all very good laptop light weight, fun like the windows hello feature, touch screen very responsibe, didnt gave 5 star because of windows 10 .hope it helps

Bought this for my son. We looked at every computer in Best Buy. Shopped on line and at Dell direct and he decided that this was the best for him. And by the time we went to buy it it was on sale too. Solid but light. Fast and easy to use. What a joy. He can now go from iPhone to iPad to this tablet with his games and internet life and this tablet does it all!!!!

I needed a laptop for running my Adobe Creative Cloud programs. I did a lot of research for the specs I needed so my laptop wouldn't slow me down after installing Cloud. I looked at hundreds of reviews for a quality laptop that would last me a while. I've had several laptops over the years and my goal to buy one that would last me a very long time. It was between a Lenovo, Asus, and this Dell laptop. I went for the Inspirion and have not been disappointed. The only down side to having such a powerful laptop is the weight limit increases significantly. I knew it would be heavier than my previous one, but I think it's worth the pound or two to be able to work without pausing between every click or drag. I will also say this about Dell customer service: The day after purchasing my laptop, the sound wasn't working. I tried a few things on my own to fix it, (rebooting, googling, etc.) but nothing worked. I contacted Dell support through their chat option online and was connected to an expert to help resolve the problem remotely. Unfortunately, the sound software was defective and had to be fixed. I also had the option to have a new system sent to my front door in 2 days time. I took the offer for a new system and received it in 2 days without problems. I sent the old laptop back in the shipping box with a label sent to me by Dell. I simply dropped it off at UPS. The process was a little frustrating, but Dell's customer service more than made up for the problem with the laptop. I almost forgot it even happened until I started typing this out. Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase and believe this laptop will last me a very long time.

I broke my Lenovo luckily I had the warranty through best buy, I loved my Lenovo and didn't really want a new laptop unfortunately I bought muy Lenovo two years ask so they didn't have that anymore. I was really hesitant about going with a different brand, but I did and I love it starts up fast i can play music and do other things and it dose bit effect the speed at all. The only thing I do not like is that it dose not have a number key pad

The laptop is light powerful and easy to operate. Would recommend to a friend

My desktop died and I decided to get another laptop. I had purchased a 2 in 1 about 4 years ago and it never seemed to work for me so I scraped it and got the desktop. In the middle of a big project the desktop suddenly wouldn't power on, I went straight to Best Buy got the laptop and a dock for the hard drive and finished the project in record time. I was amazed how much faster it was. The SS Hard certainly makes the difference!

This is my first laptop. I needed it to go back to school after 20 years. I have to say that using this is easy, the solid state drive is flawless, and the memory is more than enough. I would buy this again, and i would highly recommend it. It is slim, stylish, and lightweight. Great for anyone who wants a high quality, durable, easy to use laptop. i have had it for 4 months, and haven't had a problem with it yet.

Great design, fast, and powerful. Picked this up for $800 and couldn't be happier.

Very good construction, aluminum is strong but very light compared to my last lab top. Solid state drive makes in very quiet and cool during long operation. The back lit keys are a real plus. Had to purchase Office 365, didn't come with, not real happy based on price of this unit, but I knew that when buying. Andrew at the store was very helpful and knowledgeable when I was buying.

I absolutely love my new computer. It was a steal! Great look (mac look), capabilities, space, speed, etc. Only cons I have are I wish it had a number pad, speakers are in an odd position, and I wish it came with a stylus. Although, if you're wondering, a rubber stylus works just fine. The eye scan login is very fast and effective. The key board back light is stellar for the nighttime.

It is smaller and lighter than my last computer. I love the solid state.

Super fast and dependable processor, but very few features. Room for 10 key but not. No DVR, limited USB capacity. This would be a great computer for moving watching, etc.

I enjoy the 2 in 1 features of this computer. It boots up fast and meets my needs very well. Not to heavy easily portable and decent battery life. Connected to my wifi with ease and also connected to my printers easily. So far it has been preforming as I expected. My last laptop was a Dell also and I hope to enjoy many years of use with this one as well.

I was so tired of my laptops crashing and having problems....HP was my first experience's but they kept crashing....so next I tried ASUS - 4 laptops latter I gave up on ASUS, now I have bought a Dell solid state laptop that so far I have no complaints about it, I like how much better it operates then my previous laptops......so hopefully come next year I will still be as happy with it as I am now.

This particular laptop provides the best of both worlds. At home, this is a great laptop for when you're doing work or school projects with excellent functionality and speed. On the road, this tablet allows one to take notes, capture images, communicate as needed, do remote stuff with a unit that isn't oversized but just right. Perfect!
