The Dell Inspiron 16 7630 is massive in nearly every way, from its 1TB of storage to expandability through its Thunderbolt 4 interfaces through its 16-inch touch screen. While a lack of dedicated graphics capability might be a turn-off for some, the i7-1360p's integrated UHD770 graphics are more than capable enough for everyday usage and light gaming. The 2-in-1 form-factor gives you the traditional laptop layout that can fold to a tablet or any shape in-between. Getting the laptop up and going with Microsoft Windows 11 is easy enough, especially for those of you coming from Windows 10 devices. If you have a subscription to Microsoft 365, the Office apps come pre-installed, and OneDrive carries over your files automatically. While I think it could be packaged better considering the premium price, the cloth wrapping and screen protection in the package was a nice touch. The laptop itself is a hefty chunk of aluminum with a premium feel. Like most other Dell laptops, the keyboard is solid. The hinges feel extremely solid and I recommend folding the screen around a few times to get them to loosen up a little. One thing I do recommend is when you use this laptop in tablet mode, make sure the hinge is pointed up in landscape mode as that's where the exhaust blows out. The screen is great. Nice and bright, rich colors, and decent blacks. I also noticed very little smearing when digging deeper into the display tests. I noticed about 7 hours of battery life before the device prompted me to plug it back in. That included streaming games over my home network with Steam and editing a short video using Divinci Resolve (which took about an hour from start to finish in 4k/60 format, including compressing using Intel QuickSync and h.264). I did try this with an eGPU enclosure, and found that a Radeon RX 580 8GB performed reasonably well; CyberPunk 2077 ran at around 37 fps, GTA V ran over 60 fps, and the Superposition Benchmark gave me a score of around 8900 (66 fps average). My one complaint is the one complaint I've had with every Dell I've owned over the last 10 years - McAfee. That's a personal preference, however. All in all, I very much recommend the Dell Inspiron 7630 16 inch 2-in-1 with the i7 processor.

Bought it late July, '23. Within 6 weeks it wouldn't turn on, or take 5-10 minutes to turn on, with message either Unable to Load Windows or a button to press to fix the BIOS. Then the Bluetooth worked inconsistently, as well as the WiFi. Took it in to Best Buy--very nice service person Izzy--and was told either I could either send it TO DELL or buy a $179 Best Buy Geek Squad service plan. I was told the "operating system was corrupted"--this on a nearly new computer on which I had only added Microsoft Office and Brave browser (no other iffy downloads). To Best Buy's credit they allowed me the full purchase price toward another computer, and the Geek Squad will transfer everything from my old computer to the new one. From the reviews, looks like I'm not alone in the problematic DELL start-up problem.

I had bought open box. Product is in good condition but bit old. You’ll have best buy warranty but Company Dell warranty of 1 year is already over in May 2024 meaning product is opened in May 2023. Display is bit dimmed.
