Posted .Hi There DonnaL,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review. We are sorry to hear that you are having touchpad sensitivity issues in regards to your Dell Inspiron 7630. This is certainly not the experience that we like to hear from our customers. We will share your concern with our quality team so that improvements can be made to our current and future products and services. Below I have provided troubleshooting instructions with the full article that may be able to resolve the issue.
Here are the steps to help resolve your touchpad issue:
1. Ensure the touchpad and your finger do not have any dirt, grease, liquids, or food on them (the touchpad has to make good contact with your finger to work correctly).
2. Ensure that the touchpad is turned on.
3. Save any data, close any open programs and restart the computer by using a wired USB mouse (if available) or Bluetooth mouse if it is already installed, if not, press hold the power button for at least 15 seconds to turn the computer off.
4. Unplug everything except the power cable.
5. Turn the computer back on and retest the touchpad.
6. When the cursor does work correctly, attach one device at a time, and test the cursor movement to see which one may have caused the issue.
7. Ensure that the BIOS and Chipset drivers are updated to the latest version.

Checks all the boxes
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lately I've been noticing a trend in laptops. The need to limit the most basic things in the name of "cost" or necessity. No card slots, no backlit keys, no ss usb, etc. I do not what what such features mean for the bottom line, but I would assume that technology has reached a place of normalcy where these items should just be standard. But, they're not. This is why I find this Inspiron impressive. It is in the price range of others I've specified, but has everything, everything needed to keep work and play balanced. Card readers, USB-C, SS USB, backlit keyboard, biometrics, all working flawlessly. Upon powering up and getting going, you're presented with a beautiful, sharp, smooth touch screen display. The ratio is unusual but the extra real estate is put to good use if utilized correctly. One of my favorite notables is the large trackpad. It seems like a hinderance at first due to it being a change from the norm, but once I got used to it, I appreciate the feature and end up prefering it to the smaller trackpads of my other systems. Performance wise, it has been flawless. I had a slowdown or two when first getting set-up, but after a restart or two, no issues have persisted. With the responsive screen, folding back into tablet mode actually feels useful. It feels like an actual tablet instead of the clunky feel of tablets with a bottom heavy keyboard. The balance is on-point. Work or play(moderate gaming demand at max) this one has all you need and want to maximize the purpose. Great system.

Great for getting work done
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is built to get work done. While it's fast enough to do simple gaming (and even play some older graphically-intensive titles), it's clearly geared more for daily work; and in this area it delivers. One of the first things you'll notice is the larger screen. Dell does a good job with their displays and the one on this laptop doesn't disappoint. The screen is crisp and fairly bright. At 1920x1200, it provides a little extra real estate, but won't dazzle you as perhaps a higher resolution screen might. However overall, I found it responsive and perfectly fine for web browsing, writing documents or working on a spreadsheet. On the entertainment side, the laptop has two fairly large speaker grills on either side, but this didn't translate to any noticeable audio power. That is, music was all treble and not inspiring at all. The camera isn't bad, actually, and delivers exactly what you need for video conferences. I really appreciate the ports. This laptop has all of the standards you might expect - and it's good that they included Thunderbolt 4.0. But again, with the HDMI, USB and card reader additions, it's clear this laptop is meant for work. And one other note about work: I'm enjoying the battery life. I've had the laptop on for a few days - using it randomly - and it's just above 60% power. I'll have to see how long it keeps this up. Otherwise, this is a solid laptop without any major bells or whistles. That it has a 2-in-1 capability just adds to it versatility.

Dell Does It Again!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 3rd Dell that I now own and it seems w/ each new Dell the more I have come to appreciate them. Our Church recently purchased new Dell computers and I was in the market for my youngest son that went off to college and again, I am impressed w/ their quality. This Dell Inspiron 16.0 2 in 1 Laptop is very pleasing to the eye. The color amazing. I charged the computer and did all the initial setup which didn’t take long, I downloaded several programs that we will use here at our home and again all of that was seamless and easy. One thing that this Dell has that I love is the touch screen, it’s as if it’s a large pad to work on. And the touch is just right not to delicate and not to demanding. The screen size being this large (largest I own) is great to watch videos and movies on. It comes w/ so much memory I don’t think I will ever use it all, but it’s worth the try. The keyboard like the other Dell’s that I own, in my opinion are 2nd to none. The key response is like no other, I use another name brand computer at the office and I find myself wishing the keyboard was a Dell. My only complaint, and it’s not that big of a deal to me, is the weight. It has some heft to it. Its not a deal breaker by any means, but if you don’t like a “bulky” laptop this may not be the one, but you do have to consider that this is a 16” laptop. I would highly recommend this Dell - Inspiron 16” 2 in 1 laptop to anyone that is in the market for a very well made and affordable laptop.

Reliable computer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this laptop last month, so far running smoothly, fast and reliable. I though 16" screen was going to be too big, but it looks just fine. My only cons is that the fingerprint doesn't really work, once I logged in like that, the other times with the passcose. Minor isssue.

Decent laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a decent laptop. I'm not a pro in understanding specs but hope my review helps someone make a decision, because investing in a laptop is a big deal. It can make or break your sanity for work, school, gaming, bank account, etc. The things that made me return it: -The charging port is through one of the USB-C ports, which I needed both to not have to buy a docking station -I don't do a lot of gaming but wanted a laptop that could handle basic games, and minecraft ran very glitchy. It also glitched /froze for a millisecond while browsing the internet (it never locked up, just the screen glitched). This concerned me because it's got such a great processor, storage and memory, so why couldn't it handle a basic game without glitching? I did edit the settings in the game and it didn't make a difference with how it played. -I'm mixed on battery life, because it was off the charger an hour while I browsed the internet/tried minecraft and it dropped down to 65% , but keep in mind most laptop battery life isn't 13+ hours like they say -No number pad but keyboard lights up -Colors were a bit "off", I didn't have a problem with 300 nits and actually had to turn the brightness down, but the colors didn't always appear accurate -I was also mixed on the sound - it wasn't terrible, and didn't glitch like some other users reported, but it also sounded "off", not always clear (speakers on top of laptop). I would give the sound a rating of 6.5/10 or 7/10 -The screen was VERY reflective, I couldn't focus at times on what was on the screen because I could see my reflection so clearly Pros: It's quiet; it didn't overheat Nice big touchscreen Feels sturdy, heavy, made to last Typing was great, there was a slight shift in the keys because of the lengthy shift and ctrl keys, but easy to get used to Was very quick to respond and open tabs, etc. no issues getting it set up The storage on this thing is fantastic for the current price Overall, 16 SSD with 1TB for $699 is a pretty good deal with the 13th gen intel evo i7 processor it has. It has great reviews for longevity including on the Dell website, but I cannot speak on that myself. I personally wouldn't spend $1000 on this laptop and like I said, ended up returning, because I want a laptop with a better graphics card. This is a much better "business" laptop than it is for personal use, so if it is for work I would definitely recommend. If I had extra money to spend, I definitely would have kept it for work.
