I am happy with the Dell but boot up time is painful. Once its up and running or it comes out of sleep mode, things are great. I wish I would have got one with a solid state drive and a standard drive combo. Life would be so much better. Choose wisely, you will own this for years to come.

Not the best computer I've ever owned but it is a useful computer for day to day computer functions. Wouldn't recommend for gaming.

I was very leery about buying a Dell, was talked in to buying it. Very disappointed with this computer. I use I for an average of 8 hours a day. Has had problems since day one! Shuts down by its self, the furor sticks at the top and you have to shut down to fix the problem and there is only 2 USB ports. I regret buying this computer!

LauraRose79, Thanks for your recent Dell purchase and for your review. We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the cursor but we'd recommend that you follow these steps for resolving any touchpad issues that you have: Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:
      1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
      2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
      3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
      4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
      5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
      6. Change the options as preferred.
      7. Touch or click Save.
      8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
      9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
      10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tqmS02.
We hope this helps with your cursor issues. - Bryan Dell

We bought this 2 in 1 for my wife because she wanted the 17" screen for schoolwork. The screen folding all the way flat when used as a laptop has the added bonus of not having a hinge to break if the kids pull it down from behind the screen which had been an issue with our prior computer. The speed is ok but I would really prefer an SSD. Choices are limited in this screen size so overall it is still a solid computer.

After just a couple of weeks over the return period. the hard drive started throwing SMART errors. A quick call to Dell confirmed that, yes, it was indeed under warranty, but, no, they couldn't just ship me the replacement. Two weeks lost there with no computer. Other big problem I've found with it is that you essentially can't use it with an external monitor. It has both HDMI & USB-C/DisplayPort capability, and it DOES work - if you don't mind cooking your system. Unless you're doing very simple browsing and use both a cooling pad and something like an Opolar cooler, it quickly gets so hot that the external screen starts resetting every few minutes. Even with all that cooling forget about doing anything graphics intensive with an external screen connected. At least the built-in panel operates flawlessly. All in all I'd say it's a good thing Dell has discontinued this dog. There's much better systems out there for the money.
