My sister bought one before i did so she was showing it to me and i could not believe the performance she got from the computer for the price she paid. i did some research on dell's website and concluded that my sister got a steal of a deal so i had to go buy my own. This computer is so fast. People always complain about Vista but when you're using it w/ a computer w/ 3GB of memory, there is no complaining. i could never go back to XP. Overall this computer is a great machine. The price you get it for at best buy far exceeds any other.

So I just got this laptop for college and all I have to say is this is perfect. The wifi can grab the internet from all different sources with its wide range. The built in speakers are good, they don't get too loud but deliver great sound quality. The 2.0 megapixel webcam is also a good plus although don't expect it to be as good as your digital camera. I've watched a few dvd's on it too and the movies are crisp and clear. All in all if you are getting this for college of just for normal use it is a great buy.

I have this laptop for about 6 months already and I still love the how fast I can progress into internet. Also since it has 3 GB speed performing allow myself to muti task at least 3 window at the same time without any trouble. That's amazing, best laptop I ever purchase and it's suitable for students like myself.

The laptop is wonderful! It's my second Vista machine, first one to run Photoshop CS3. The processor and ram provided provided plenty of speed and power to run Photoshop CS3 with the Vista operating system. This is a great machine right out of the box!

Mouse pad is not so good.. and battery life is big issue..

The first Dell laptop was DOA. The store didn't have another in stock and convinced me to take a larger one. Did NOT like it - took it back for a refund. I really wanted a Dell 15" but didn't think to look at Best Buy on-line. When I did, I found exactly what I wanted. It arrived in good time but the little metal piece that covers some of the indicators was bent up. Apparently caught on the foam between the keyboard and screen. Was advised to take it back to the local Best Buy store. They had one in stock so refunded my on-line price and charged me the local price which meant, they returned the shipping fees! I did insist that we make sure it wasn't DOA.. and it wasn't. It was fine. Have been exploring it for a few weeks now and I like it a LOT! I may even eliminate my desktop! When I plugged it in, it picked up my router signal instantly. I did upgrade it to 4gb and it boots up lightning fast! The screen colors are vibrant and pleasing to the eye. I do a lot of heavy graphic work and it's been able to handle whatever I throw at it memory wise. I love the size and the weight. It's thin and beautiful!! All of the external plugins (USB, etc) are in convenient places. The surface is easy to clean and I just like the whole darn thing!! Would recommend to othere, in fact I already have!

Shopped around for a long time before finally deciding on this computer. It was on sale and I could not have asked for a better deal. So far, so good. I have had no problems with it.

I bought 2 of these computers for family and they love it dell is the best and for the price no better I am going to buy one for me

i've had this product for six months. Almost two weeks after purchasing this product and useing it, when i would start the pc a black screen with white letters would pop up saying how it couldn't read the internal hard drive. It still continiues to do this at times six months later. Now the keyboard jams up. Serton keys won't work for a while then they do. It's really weird and very festerating!!

I highly recommend for my friends and all those who want a laptop which can be portable, faster and trendy.

I shopped around alot before purchase comparing different models and brands,shopping in the stores and then online . testing all types . this was a happy medium very happy with my purchase ..look for the sales

I bought my Inspiron 1525 8 months ago and it has been nothing but constant problems. My most recent problem ended with me spending 4.5 hours on the phone with Dell support, to end up having to completely reinstall my operating system - I then spent another 8+ hours reinstalling everything that was lost with the reinstall of the OS. This was not the first multiple hour call to Dell. The computer locks up at least daily, blue screens often, and commands often times have to be entered multiple times before the computer responds. The only positive aspect of my experience has been in dealing with the Dell Support staff. While they have been incredibly inefficient and ineffective in solving my recurring problems, they have been pleasant to deal with and have tried very hard to help in finding resolutions.
