Great overall gaming monitor with a classy look

However due to shipping my came damage in the top left corner however everything else about the monitor was great. Stand isnone of the best with tilt and height adjust

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3 years and 6 months of use, 3 hot summers. on and off gaming. mostly browsing, movies, work. connected to both mac and pc. monitor is starting to cloud/smudge along the upper right corner; de-laminate. this refurbished unit from best buy was defective and dell provided me with a replacement; which is also refurbished. this was my first "nice" monitor since it had g-sync. its a shame these monitors are only good for 3.5 years. seems like edge de-lamination is a common issue with these models. dell even gives it a name "yogore/mura defect". nothing can be done. i had my fun (average), now its time to buy a real big boy monitor that doesn't have "yogore defect". i would not buy another "gaming" dell monitor. knowing its only good for 3.5 years.

When playing almost every game I get on average 150 fps... amazing! Also I'm under high suspion the S2716DG was actually new. Everything had plastic still on it and couldn't one bit of ware on the stand or monitor itself. Thanks Best Buy!

1 Singular Bad Pixel Ruins the entire Experience

Even with the discounted price on top of the refurbished price, a singular bad pixel in the middle of the monitor results in a 1 star. This pixel decided to start being bad quite literally 30 mins until I was no longer able to return/replace this thing. Now I get to live with this very expensive stuck pixel. Yes, I can "fix" it. But it comes back. It has come back every time I turn on the monitor. No amount of those RGB videos fixes this thing. It just comes back. I really am upset. Not sure what refurbished means. I guess put it back in a box and ship it as is? Who knows. I'll try to post a picture of it later.
