I was out shopping for a 4k monitor, and the store only had 1 model, it was a Samsung 4k 28" for like 600 bucks and only did 30 fps on HDMI or 60fps on display port 1.2 panicked trying to figure out if my GPU supported 1.2 or not, and then the sales agent told me that they don't even carry display port to display port cables anymore, only display port to something else, like hdmi or DVI, etc. So if I had to have HDMI then would that lock me into 30fps? I didn't care or have time to look this up on my cell phone or on one of their floor model pc's with slow internet speeds. So instead I looked for some "better" 1080p monitors, hoping to find one that would in the future be able to work in a 3 monitor setup, ideally with a super thin edge. And guess what, I found this beauty! It was also on sale for 189 for a limited time, so I jumped on it without even looking through 3rd party review sites. Boy am I glad I did, looking at the site now, the price went back to over 250 and turns out its one of the highest rated monitor out there. Don't mind the 6ms response time, I game on a mid-high gaming pc and I don't notice a thing. Once i get a bigger desk eventually I am hoping to be able to get 2 more of these, hopefully i can get them at a lower price again. I'll just save up to buy a 4k tv instead. Personally I would rather have a 3 way 69" monitor setup than one 28" 4k monitor. Im planning on upgrading our main tv anyways to a 4k so I can wait to jump on the 4k craze.

This monitor has been excellent! It's used along side my laptop monitor for a dual screen setup. I'm a freelance graphic and web-designer who values accurate color reproduction and this monitor definitely delivers. It's thin bezel is aesthetically pleasing and compliments my desk setup. I would definitely recommend this product to any freelance digital artists or any casual user who values good stuff.

Nice sharp images and colors. My wife and both really like our Dell IPS monitors. This model was picked out for the IPS features and the built in speakers. The speakers are great if you are trying to reduce desk clutter and they don't sound too bad. Installation was super easy with the included HDMI cable. No need for a audio cable if your computer or video source has a HDMI output. The Power and Menu buttons kind of surprised us. They seem to be capacitive, since they do not depress, you just touch them and they do their thing. Things to keep in mind: This monitor has a glossy screen, any bright lights behind you may reflect. It is not a problem for me but I know people have their preferences. The sound is good but it is just 3 watt speakers, it is not intended to be a kick butt sound system.

The monitor has great picture quality. Built in speakers are a nice bonus.

I had a 1080p Viewsonic monitor that was a hand me down from my office. The date of manufacture on the back read April of 2009. Sure, it got the job done, but it was a massive thing and I figured this Dell would be a relatively inexpensive replacement. I picked it up, brought it home and was blown away from the moment I turned it on. First, the monitor has an incredibly thin bezel. It does not take up a lot of space, and does not use a lot of energy. Colors are vivid, and I love the glossy display. If you have a bright window behind the monitor, you will want to lower the shade or get a screen with a matte finish. Lots of customization options. I haven't had to make too many adjustments because it worked so well out of the box. This is a fantastic screen for the price!

I've had the monitor for about a month now. It hooked it up right out of the box and it has been working like a champ since. I use the monitor for general household use. I can have two excell spreadsheets open at the same time - full size. But, for those of you that need three spreadsheets open at once, I suggest you go to the 29-in to get a little more real estate.

Great monitor, vivid color, excellent screen and so easy to install.

It doesn't have hard keys(buttons) for changing the settings of the screen and Power switch. It has touch sensitive buttons which are not working perfectly for me. I've to touch 2-3 times to make it work. Though I don't need to use those buttons all the time, whenever I've to use it I'm not comfortable on that. Except that I like this monitor which has HDMI/VGA input, speaker output and one headphone output. It's working fine for my Mac running OS X Yosemite.

Great monitor, perfect size and super sharp ! Color tones on auto adjust are great and tweaking it to my calibration easy to do. Fairly easy to put together and highly portable, I love this monitor and was advised to purchase this one by my friendly Best Buy Associate. So glad I took his advice and now have a super monitor ! Thank you Best buy and Dell !

I absolutely love these monitors. I work in IT and have purchased 16 of these monitors. The image it clean and sharp. There is very little bleed through from back lighting. The screen is glossy and really helps with contrast and details. My favorite part is the incredibly narrow boarder/bezel. I would guess that the left and right boarders are about 6 mills thick. That's tiny when compared to most monitors. Setting two of these, side by side, makes for an excellent dual monitor setup. The desktop appears almost seamless. The base is also very sturdy. I've had other brands with flimsy bases and it can be a real pain to get two monitors to sit perfectly parallel to one another, even when the frames are touching. I would highly recommend these monitors!

My computer repair person was at the house and did not like the screen color on my monitor. He said lets go get you a new monitor. Off we went together to Best Buy. This is the one which he selected for me. I am very pleased with my new monitor. The color is beautiful and I now see things that were not showing up on my old monitor. This was a great choice!

looks great easy to set up can use hdmi or reg cord to connect...

Looked at alot of monitors including Dell, Samsung, Asus. Currently had a 20 inch dell which is working great so stuck with dell brand. Connected both up to my Dell tower and running dual now. Works great. 23.8 inch is plenty of screen to watch movies etc. this model has integrated speakers in it which i'm not using yet. Very satisfied thus far.
