great big clear screen, good for games movies music and reading online books

Great monitor to use. Easy to connect to Macbook or Windows Laptop for work. A little larger that anticipated but is a good size for use with multiple windows and multi-tasking.

This is definitely a great monitor! I ordered this from Best Buy.com and received my shipment very fast. One thing that I was reading on Newegg.com was how the buyers were being sent older revisions. My tag in the back says Date of Mfg. May 2013. My monitor tag does say that the model is the U2412Mb, so I am not sure where the "b" came from? The only thing that needed to be updated was the drivers/firmware. Once I updated all drivers, then this bad boy was good to go! I highly recommend this monitor when it is on Sale, since the normal price is a bit steep. Otherwise, this monitor fits my needs and has plenty of real estate to get the job done.

Not only is the design of this computer exceptional but the image itself is too. I am an audio engineer and so I sit at my mixing desk in my recording studios for long hours staring at computer screens all day. When I ordered this product I was afraid that it would be way too bright for me, or that some pixels would be out. However, I have had this computer screen now for a little over a month or so, and everything is perfect. The stand not only adjusts by sliding up and down, but it also spins in order to be able to see it from different angles without actually having to move the whole computer. It has a very good looking outer casing and fits right in with the rest of the equipment in my studio. As for speaker quality goes I wouldn't have much of an idea since I am using two external speakers as my sound source. However, THERE ARE NO HDMI PORTS. For many this could be a huge and annoying problem! So far I haven't experienced any "oh no" moments...which I consider a big plus. While I was researching this computer I read a lot of reviews that explained how the screen was way too bright...even on the lowest setting. I could see how this could be an issue for game designers, Photoshop professionals etc. where detail is a big concern! However, for an audio engineer/recording artist this computer would be perfect. I hope to have a long good career with my Dell Ultra sharp 24" widescreen Monitor!

We use this monitor in our photo studio for retouching images. We have tried many monitors but this one is probably the best you can get without spending hundreds more. This is our second Dell Ultrasharp and I highly recommend this if image quality and color matching is critical.

this monitor is 16:10, much better than those wide skinny things. the anti glare is awesome, no excess issues like some people report. screen lowers down to within 1.5 inches of the desk, great for people wearing bi-focals. excellent color matching to our expensive NEC pro monitor. We used a tft-central profile then further adjusted it by eyeball. Makes it great for color work. Bestbuy shipped it to Honolulu at no extra cost which is faboo.

We purchased this TV for the bedroom and it's perfect. The power cord is rather short if you have it sitting on a high piece of furniture. We have it hooked up to a regular cable box and the picture is still OK. I'm sure the picture would be much better with an HD box but for this purpose it's fine for us.

The Dell U2412 is a solid monitor that out of the box exhibits good color uniformity and a crisp picture. I use this for application coding and website development along side a wide gamut monitor and the though the Dell is not wide gamut it does very well in maintaining color accuracy. for a 1920x1200 monitor this is a good size from a pixel density. Enjoy it very much.

I have used the Dell U2410M monitor for about 5 years now. It's been a workhorse and has never failed. The color quality is outstanding for both photoshop photography as well as high end gaming. I decided to buy a second monitor for my system and knew I wanted another Dell ultrasharp. The model is now the U2412M, but it's basically the same high quality 24" monitor. I've been using the U2412M for about 6 weeks now and it's just as good as my older 24". Color quality is outstanding. The ability to rotate to portrait, up, down, tilt, is a great quality. The monitor is responsive, sharp (without being too sharp). Colors are true, text is easy to read. Plus, 1920x1200 is such a sweet spot. It's widescreen, but I've never been a fan of 1920x1080, just too narrow to be good in portrait mode. This monitor is perfect. Sure there are cheaper monitors out there, but you really get what you pay for. I expect this monitor to treat me well for many years. Dell makes some high quality components and they really know how to make a great monitor at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I have purchased a ton of these Dell U2412M monitors over the past 2-3 years and they are great for the price especially if u catch them on sale. Haven't had any problems to date and will continue to buy them in the future.

This is my fifth Dell brand display. The oldest one died and this was its replacement. Although a little expensive, the price is in the ball park for an IPS LED 1920 x 1200 LCD display. The screen size is excellent for working with multiple documents, with web page development, and with Photoshop.

I'm coming from a 23" LG Monitor and this monitor just blows it away, It is Awesome, just get it, you won't be dissappointed. I love it.

Nice monitor, good picture. Don't let Windows 7 update your driver - it messed up my monitor. Installing driver from Dell website fixed it though.

I bought this to replace an old Samsung 17" monitor. I thought the price was fantastic compared to other similar monitors. I use it all day long for business purposes and wanted to have a very adjustable monitor. This monitor has a wide range of motion and is very easy to adjust. Setup was logical and simple and no adjustments were necessary. The screen is very bright, I actually had to turn it down a few notches. I did consider buying a monitor with a glossy screen but I don't watch movies or play games on this and my old monitor was a matte finish as well. Since it is on all day I didn't want to have any concerns about reflections from a glossy screen. I was worried I would not really need a screen this large. But this fits nicely on the desk and it is great to have this much screen real estate to work with. Very happy with the purchase. Not sure you can beat the combo of features and quality for this price.

Larger format than 1080 so much more space but not tiny like a 4k monitor. I ordered two to replace my side monitors on either side of my main monitor.

I have always had great success with Dell products and this monitor does not disappoint in any way. A perfect upgrade from my older Dell monitor!

I purchased 2 of these monitors for a dual-monitor setup. While the first monitor was free of dead pixels, the 2nd monitor has 2 dead (dark) pixels. Zero bright-dot guarantee does not cover dead (dark) pixels. Luckily the pixels are not located where I notice them much. I have both of these monitors attached to 2 different computers (dual-monitor setup to each computer) using 2 x Display Ports (work computer) and 1 x DVI / 1 x VGA (personal computer). There is no HDMI port on these monitors (I have to use a HDMI to DVI adapter) but I knew that before I purchased the monitors. It is still a knock against these monitors but not one that should stop anyone from picking them up. I'm not a graphics professional but do work in documents and code web site applications frequently. These monitors work well within my usage patterns.

This is my second Dell monitor - I gave my older model to my husband and took the newer, bigger one for work. The monitor has perfect color, high detail, and has a compact flexible base. A perfect screen to use horizontal or vertical, flexible and good quality.
