I recently purchased this monitor for my new condo and I love it.

I have been using UltraSharp monitors for over 10 years at both my office and home. This is by far the best yet - bought a second and running with dual mounts. Crisp display - especially with DisplayPort; Ease to use with the intuitive controls; the height/tilt/rotate adjustments work with precision and ease. I especially like the LED technology which uses far less energy - and doesn't radiate heat like the LCDs. We have some U3012 models at the office, which are even finer with their 2560 res - UltraSharp is the way to go!

In looking for a new monitor I came across this Dell monitor. I've read some issues with revision A00, which has a known possible yellow tint issue, however I received the A01 which was manufactured in May 2014 so Best Buy has the good version... no yellow tint at all and it is quite bright. (BTW this is written in simple text on the outside of the box, so no need to open if it was A00) Surprisingly it comes with a VGA cable, an HDMI cable and a USB PC to Hub (since it has that capability) inside the box. Most manufacturers only supply power and VGA, aka the minimum. Supplying all 3 was really top notch. The Stand is quite a nice design, it snap/locks into place without needing any screws and comes with an easily accessible release button should i need to separate the stand from the monitor to re-box for travel. Speaking of the box, it was a robust box that kept it well protected during shipping with extra space unlike other monitors from other manufacturers that used as little space as possible which left protection lacking, not in this one. I was able to plug it into my laptop dock and it worked right out of the gate, no complicated setup like I had to do with a Samsung. No drivers to install. It has multiple modes for coloring... Standard, Multimedia, Movie, Game, Text and then allows changing the color temp and custom coloring. Awesome. It is very easy to change to any option. As I am using this for code development, being able to go vertical will be a useful option and was easy to get in and out of. At this point I am now debating whether to buy another one for my home desktop gaming PC, and possibly another for my work laptop, I currently do the extended desktop with the laptop screen but if i had two of these, it just might be too awesome, so much so that I'd hate to go into the office since I wouldn't have these there.

My old Dell 1905 monitor is going bad after 8 years, and I needed to replace it. I ordered a couple from Dell, but returned them due to 16:9 viewing area was smaller than I wanted. Then I found this U2412M and tried it out. Absolutely love it!!! The Preset Display Area ::(H x V):: of 20.3 inches x 12.7 inches ..is what I LOVE most!!! It DOES make all the difference when you have lots of windows open for multitasking. IF you want to get away from the whole "Widescreen" epidemic (more Horizontal than Vertical)...then get this baby!! You'll LOVE it! In other reviews, people have mentioned glaring and blurring. I haven't noticed anything of the sort. It may do that IF you take it out of native resolution of 1920x1200, or if your video card drivers need updated. Mine has SUPERB COLOR, SHARPNESS, and LOTS OF SPACE! The only bad thing is -- now, I'm wanting another one for Dell Server.

I had an Acer 19" 16:10 aspect ratio monitor that was too small. I was in the market for a full HD monitor with the same 16:10 aspect ratio as current16:9 monitors are too wide. The extra screen real estate, 16:10 aspect ratio, and 24" is the sweet spot for a desktop monitor. Color accuracy is superb and overall the display on this monitor is amazing! I highly recommend this monitor to anyone who is looking for the perfect 16:10 aspect ratio 24" monitor for under $300!

This is a pretty basic monitor, without many features. But it has a great picture, and is pretty large considering the price it sells for. It feels slightly flimsy compared to, say, an Apple monitor, but for the price it does its job well, and has vibrant and accurate colors, even without any initial adjustments (at least, to my eye).

Image is great and even with my bad eyesight I can easily see multiple windows simultraneously.

I bought several of the monitors to complete a multiple monitor set up. While the bezels are not as thin as the newer 24" Dell monitor that uses the same 16:10 format and 1920x1200 resolution, they are still great for multiple displays. Excellent resolution and color accuracy. Low power consumption as well, since it is an LED monitor.

I shopped around for a nice LED IPS monitor under the $300 mark before I settled on this one. I wanted two displays between 21"-24" for photo/video editing. Looked at a couple lower budget monitors but there was things about all of them I didn't like. The U2412M is AMAZING. Crystal clear resolution and brilliant colors right out of the box. Currently running them both with my 2012 Mac Mini one with HDMI to DVI and the other Thunderbolt (mini display port) to DVI. I would definitely recommend spending the extra $100 for these monitors.

The two best things I like the monitor: 1. The screen can be turned to portrait, so I can view long PDF and writing codes. 2. the resolution is the highest in the relative levels. However, the display does not have HDMI port, or it will be perfect.

great picture quality and faithful color representation but whites and text may appear blurred due to the anti-glare effect. users of glossy screens will notice this right away. has a displayport which is great for mac owners without having to use a dongle.

I bought this monitor because of the high resolution, quality, and price. I had originally shopped for a 27 inch monitor, but couldn't justify the high price for just 3 more inches. At the time of my purchase I could buy (2) 24" monitors for the price of (1) 27" monitor. I selected the dell because of the 16:10 ratio, high resolution, and quality of dell screens. Overall I am very happy with this monitor.

I was trying to edit pictures on my laptop and it was very difficult. I'm now using this monitor as an external monitor and editing is SOOO much easier. Great product!
