Like the subject says: as described. No dead pixels; beautiful monitor that isn't from a sketchy Korean company on EBay. I upgraded from a 22" and moving up to 27" took some adjusting too (I actually got a headache for the first few days). After that though - its gorgeous. Gaming (on a GTX 680) has never been more immersive at such a high resolution. My large excel & visio files are much more workable as I can quickly scan the whole page as opposed to scrolling. I honestly now have a tough time using another computer with a normal size monitor, specifically at my day job - it feels as though I took my adult size desk and downgraded to one of those 5th-grade chair-and-tiny-desk combos - yeah you can get the job done, but its uncomfortable and inefficient. Or, for gaming, it's comparable to going from non-HD sports to HD sports and then having to go back again. Ugh. I love it. If it weren't so expensive I'd get two and duo monitor it.

Beautiful Colors - Bright and Sharp

I am a photo hobbyist and this is the best monitor I have ever owned for editing pictures. As a hobbyist I don't need pro quality (or price), but I wanted something better than a standard panel. This monitor fits that requirement nicely. I was initially concerned about the IPS light bleed that so many reviewers talk about, especially concerning this monitor. This monitor does have some light bleed, but it's very subtle. It is only apparent during the darkest screen displays and even then I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking for it. It certainly does not bother me. There is one disadvantage to this monitor, but it's not the monitor's fault it's mine. The 1440 resolution, even on a 27" monitor, makes the text appear smaller and my eyes don't see as well as they did when I was younger. The fact that this monitor displays even the smallest text razor sharp really helps. If you work with MS Office this 1440 monitor is excellent at displaying a very large portion of a spreadsheet, 60 rows and out to column AN at default settings, or a long Word document. Overall I am quite happy with the monitor. About the only thing I have not done with it is watch a full HD movie. I have a wonderful home theater system so even a great 27" monitor is not the way I want to watch my movies.

I bought this monitor because I was hesitant to pay for a Thunderbolt. I am a graphic designer and needed something that would give me high definition and also be large enough to work in multiple windows. At almost half the price of a Thunderbolt and with the Thunderbolt having mixed reviews I opted to save money. And I'm so glad I did. The non-glossy screen means I can work in my office which has lots of natural light. The adjustable stand is very easy to move around to promote good posture and viewing of accurate colors. I hooked it up to my mac pro and I don't like working on anything else now.

I was mainly choosing between this and the Asus PB278Q, and when I found out this is a non-PWM panel I am sold. Before I purchased U2713HM I saw all those reviews and youtube videos on the cross-hatching and backlight-bleeding problems, and after a while I found out that all of them were prior to 2013. I than searched for reviews about this monitor in 2014, and I didn't see any complaints, so I pulled the trigger. I bought one off Best Buy with $30 gift cards and got it for $520. It's manufactured in March 2014 with a revision number A00. I am glad to see that it indeed has none of those old issues and no dead pixels. It comes with a fact sheet about the pre-calibration on product-line. The overall build quality is genuinely solid, and I liked the adjustable stand and the professional-look a lot. Among all monitors in this range (WQHD, $400~$700, 27 inch), I think this one has the right balance between price and performance, without any compromises that will bug you (appearance, panel quality, PWM issue, etc.)

As someone that spends 8+ a day looking at a computer screen, this screen resolution is FANTASTIC!!! I did a TON of research for several months before invested in these monitors (I bought 2) and I couldn't be happier with my choice. They are great for everyday document work, as well as, photo and video editing. Because the resolution is so clear it makes editing those small items so much easier without having to blow the image up 200%+

Somewhat expensive but excellent monitor. I wanted to get away from having to little screen real estate to handle two jobs at the same time. The 27 inch monitor does that very well. Also the great resolution insures that the extra screen space isn't wasted with poor quality imaging. This is a very fine monitor for all the graphics based apps that are all around us nowadays.

This is a perfect monitor to allow working at a greater distance from the screen. The multiple preset screen modes allow the viewer to switch easily according to use. The ability to adjust color, sharpness, etc., in the monitor itself allows the user a great range of customizable features which can be quickly changed, as desired. This monitor is capable of very high resolution, but, of course, one's computer must have a video card of similar capability to achieve this result. Even without a similarly capable video card, the monitor can be adjusted to produce a very sharp on-screen image.

The monitor works great. The colors are good right out of the box. I definitely turned down the brightness, but didn't really touch much else. I am using it with a DVI connection to my Dell computer. For the price I paid at Best Buy on sale, I don't think I could have gotten a better monitor. I haven't played with all of the Preset Modes yet, but I have watched a few Blu-Ray movies on Movie Mode and they look great. The clarity, colors, text, blacks...... all look great on this monitor. Can you buy a better monitor? Of course you can, but you'll pay a lot more. I am very happy with this monitor.

I was hesitant to spend this much money on a monitor, but it's totally worth it. The different it makes (we use it to create videos) totally pays for it. We actually have two of these hooked up to each computer. And guess what? We'll be buying more! :)

A very good alternative to an Apple monitor

I have bought this to get the most out of my MacMini where I run both Windows7 and Apple OS, after having done a lot of consumer feedback research. I am greatly satisfied. However, be warned that neither Dell nor Apple technical support service people know that unless you buy a separate Mini Display cable ( costs less than $10 at Amazon) which is not supplied in the box, you cannot get the maximum 2560 resolution which is the ONLY reason you would move away from a 24" monitor.

    Big, Detailed, Bright

Bought this for office use with Word, Excel, CAD, etc. Very bright - had to turn it down a few notches or it was blinding (nice problem to have). Wish I had two - the 1080x1920 pixel screen next to it looks puny even though it has about the same pixel pitch. It is so big I have to slightly turn my head to scan the whole screen when sitting 18" from screen (typical desktop set-up). I find myself moving the working part of documents to the middle of the screen just to be more comfortable looking at them from an ergonomic standpoint (nothing wrong with the image quality anywhere on the screen - just moving the workspace to the most comfortable viewing angle).

I bought this monitor for my dad who has failing eye sight. It is a beautiful monitor with outstanding clarity and anti-glare coating. It is a bit pricey compared to other 27" monitors, however you can't argue with the quality of the monitor.

I liked the first one so much that I bought another and run them both at 2560x1440 - I am a programmer and need the screen real-estate. While doing C# coding in Visual Studio, I run the font at 8, and it is crisp and clear, thus minimizing eye fatigue. I'm also a gamer, and am currently playing DarkMod, a Thief-based game, and the display is simply fantastic. I've waited literally years for the flat panels to reach this native resolution, and at a reasonable price, and this monitor delivers the goods.

I bought another brands 25" 1080 monitor and the picture was terrible. This monitor with 1440 resolution is much better. Text, video, games, everything looks great on this thing. DO NOT BUY A 1080P MONITOR THIS BIG!!! You will regret it. It's a bit pricey, but well worth the extra bucks. Plenty of adjustments, sturdy, a bit plain, but over all a great monitor. oh, by the way, it has minimal backlight bleed At bottom left. Not enough to matter in my opinion.

I primarily use this monitor for work and I absolutely love it. It handles large spreadsheets and models like a champ. The amount of screen real estate makes this monitor excellent to work on. I bought it on sale for under $600. I was considering the 30 incher but the dollar to screen size ratio on this was too good to pass up. I couldn't be happier.
