I have been a dell fan since the first Dell XPS laptop. I was excited to get this. Everything seemed perfect until the trackpad and the letters started STICKING and the computer seemed possessed. So disappointed. It is at geek squad now. It is hard to believe this isn’t happening to others

    Terrible experience with Best Buy

This review is related to terrible Experience with Best Buy when I purchased this laptop. I ordered a laptop from Best Buy, and the experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I received a notification that my package was delivered, but it was sent to someone named “ABC” (not their real name), whom I don’t recognize. I live in a condominium and checked with my leasing office and around my house, but no one has the package. I contacted Best Buy customer service and explained the situation multiple times, emphasizing that the package was delivered to someone completely unrelated to us. After days of back-and-forth, I received an email from Best Buy stating they had investigated with UPS, and since UPS marked it as successfully delivered to “ABC,” they wouldn’t issue a refund or replacement. Instead, they suggested I take the matter to local law enforcement. To make matters worse, I spoke with UPS directly, and they informed me that it’s Best Buy’s responsibility to handle the investigation and, if necessary, file a claim yourself. However, UPS also mentioned that if I file a claim, Best Buy would receive the refund once the investigation is successful and not me. Now I’m stuck in the middle, without a laptop or my money, and both Best Buy and UPS are passing the blame. This is the most frustrating shopping experience I’ve ever had. I expected much better from a company as big as Best Buy.

My favorite Windows on ARM laptop

The form and layout are exactly like the rest of the XPS13 series, down the the terrible function bar (which is the only negative IMO). 32GB, 1TB, and a Snapdragon X Elite...this laptop checks so many boxes that if it weren't for that darn touch function row it would be my little perfect ARM laptop. There's enough RAM to feed the most user's needs and more than average users will ever touch. It's good to have if needed, however, so I'll take it. It'll come in handy if I ever need to do large format Photoshop work - some of the files can be multigig files for large signage or wraps. The keyboard, while I love the feel and short travel, can feel a bit cramped. You can only do so much with the spacing on a 13" laptop, so if you need a wider keyboard you'll have to grab a larger laptop. Being an ARM Windows laptop makes it pretty energy efficient as long as you're doing lightweight tasks. Doing actual work, it just barely pulls ahead of my XPS13 x86 processor. It's probably about an extra two hours base on estimates, so if you need that extra bit it could be a life saver. This was a bit of web browsing, light graphics work, and a bit of layout...not fun on a 13" screen, lol. Still I wanted to see how it faired. It's possible once some of the programs I used are out of Beta that batter life might increase. We're all still in that transition phase where applications are still rolling out full ARM support. While it didn't get hot, it did get warm and the fans kicked on to cool down the processor. It's not too loud as to be distracting, but loud enough to hear that the fans are in use. This is my third shot at Windows on ARM (I had an old one years ago that gave up the ghost) and so far my favorite. I love the XPS13 series and having an ARM version with plenty RAM and storage make it the almost perfect on-the-go laptop. If only they'd get rid of that touch bar...

Purchased in August. I only use it on occasional Fridays, for quickbooks access when I’m not in my office. So maybe in total a weeks worth of time. On July 24, I powered it on to discover bitlocker. And NO WAY to rescue my computer! Now I’m being told it can’t be recovered. This was a very pricey piece of equipment I was talked in to buy long by a Best Buy employee, and it’s trash!

I’ve had my Dell XPS 13 Copilot+ Touch Screen laptop for about a week now and I have been very happy with it. The initial set-up including getting it fully charged and updated took about an hour or so. It feels different than any other laptop I have owned. Having the Copilot AI assistant be part of the base design on this device along with its impressive power in such a small sleek package really feels like a next generation thing to me. Even though I would not call this computer a gaming rig at all I was still able to enjoy some of my favorite games. The screen is bright, crisp and very responsive to touch. High resolution videos really pop on the screen. The battery life lasted all day with plenty charge to spare. The only thing I didn’t love was the speakers but I understand there are just some limitations to a laptop this thin. Even with those limitations, the speakers aren’t terrible. I was able to connect to my Bluetooth computer speakers though quite easily. The keyboard is fine. I prefer a fully size keyboard so it feels a little small to me but I really wanted a smaller laptop some obviously some compromises have to be made. The Copilot AI was more fun than I expected. Being able to have a conversation of sorts with your PC is interesting. I wanted to test out its usefulness so I had a conversation about remodeling my garage and even though I had a plan already figured out, it would have been legit helpful if I had not already done the prep work. It gave some good tips on painting and reinforcing shelves so they don’t sag. It also was spot on with material needs when I asked it for list once we had decided on the details of a particular project. Though far from perfect with a lot of room to grow, this system can actually be helpful. I was also able to play some actual games as well. Though there are many games this machine won’t even allow you to attempt to install I was able to stream the games and cast the video to my TV. One evening I found myself just hanging out on the couch with my little Dell streaming Planet Coaster 2 and mirroring my screen to my TV. What a time to be alive. All in all I am very impressed with the power of this Dell XPS laptop. A beautiful design, built in AI, a great display and more power than I expected all come together in a computer I would absolutely recommend to a friend.

The Dell XPS 13 Copilot+ PC is a compact, feature-rich laptop. This laptop is built around a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite 12 core CPU with Adreno graphics. The display is a 3K, tandem OLED touch screen. This version has 32 Gb Ram and a terabyte SSD, there are versions other chips and more or less memory available. The lightweight laptop has a CNC machined aluminum chassis and a carbon fiber shell. The battery is claimed to last 27 hours on a single charge, as I use it, I have found that I only have to charge about once a week so far. Dell claims that the chip to cloud protection makes this the most secure Windows device, out of the box. The seamless glass, haptic touchpad is the best I have used. The speed comparisons to laptops with other chips from other makers make this appear to be an emerging hot rod system. The only system burdening task I regularly do is scroll through and edit 102 MP medium format digital images. I have yet to have this system slow down (like my primary laptop) while processing images. While processing photos, I have never felt this system get warm nor heard fans cooling it as others do. This system includes and is optimized for AI. While my phone, tablet, other laptops all have had AI functions increasingly included, I haven't seriously used it other than as a voice assistant and to create a few fanciful images. This laptop is designed to incorporate AI functions into the traditional computing routines. This laptop has performed the few AI Functions I have asked of it quickly and flawlessly. The only connections available are a USB C/Display port on either side. There are no expansion slots. So far, everything I have tried with this computer has been fast and flawless. The battery life is outstanding. Based on my past experience, I'm always a bit reluctant to try non-Intel based computer systems. I have been very happy with Qualcomm Snapdragon based phones and tablets. Unlike other non-Intel chip-based systems, I have found nothing that this chip doesn't do as well, if not faster. I have found a lot to love in this compact but very capable system.

I was excited to receive Dell's latest XPS-13 9450 Co-Pilot + Laptop PC from Dell for evaluation and review as my old one was slowing down with less than 10% storage available. The compact laptop arrived nicely packaged and in brand new condition. Once unboxed, I immediately plugged the unit in to charge before beginning the setup and transfer of data from my old laptop. Once fully charged, the Dell XPS-13 stepped me through several setup questions then automatically searched for updates to the system. Once the system was updated, transferring data was a breeze as the unit comes equipped with data migration software transferring the old data from my previous laptop to this new Dell laptop. The Dell XPS-13 comes with a 13.4" OLED touchscreen display with a webcam, has a Snapdragon X Elite 12 core processor that powers the unit, has 32GB of RAM, 1TB SSD storage all of which makes this a compact, lightweight yet powerful laptop computer. Simply awesome! Windows 11-Home is the Dell XPS-13's operating system and the laptop includes wireless Bluetooth, 2 USB-C power ports and Dell's one-year limited warranty. This powerful yet compact Dell laptop is my new go-to unit. They don't come much better than this! The Dell XPS-13 9345 has fully adjustable video, sound, display, power and battery settings. The one drawback to this laptop is a lack of external USB connectivity ports. Having said that, I really like this new Dell laptop!

Holy cow….. The screen is incredible. This is my second XPS from Dell. What an upgrade. This one is touchscreen and has incredible power and storage. I am realtor and this handles all of my content creation with ease. It is lightweight, portable, compact and easy to take on the go and use with my customers as I show them properties and maps. Did I mention the screen is incredible? Right off the bat the unboxing was such a great experience. It came in a very sturdy bow and as I unboxed it I was greeted with the ultra slim and graphite colored device. Having an XPS before I was already familiar with the power button location (which included the fingerprint sensor…. Love this) as well as the glass trackpad. The design is flawless. You will want to charge the device while it is installing all the software and updates for the first time. Be prepared for it to take between 30 - 45 minutes total to get up and running. Super easy the computer just needs a strong internet signal and it does all the work for you. While you are waiting on the installs there are some nice intro videos about copilot and what it can do for you…. Definitely worth watching and it helps pass the time. Now that the software is up to date away we go. The speed is incredible, I have yet to experience any lagging. It handles multiple processes with ease. I do a lot with content creation (making my own fliers, maps etc…) and the graphics and display are incredible. Battery life has been outstanding as well and it is packed with a lot of on board storage as well. It connects effortlessly to all the wifi signals I have tried. My only issue I have come across, and this could just be me still getting used to the glass track pad, is sometimes the track pad gets stuck in the pressed position, so it tries to click and drag items. Not sure how to unstick it, so I usually have to restart the device to get it working again. With the touchscreen feature that is much easier since I can use my finger to control the screen directly when the mouse is in the stuck position. Has only happened a few times so again it is likely my thumb pressing the trackpad as I type or something and I am not sure how to unstick it. If you are looking for a lightweight portable laptop with incredible power, screen, and storage this is it.

Small and powerful. This is a very beautiful laptop.  Though small in size, it makes up for it withwhat’s inside.  The black version isexceptional.  Fingerprints are not aproblem with this laptop.  I small towelcan do the trick if it gets messy. Ultraportable.  This is perfectfor the student or professional that will need to transport a laptop everywhere.  The portability is a huge selling point.  The hinges that allow the laptop to open andclose have a very smooth feel.  Thekeyboard layout is basic as there are not many additional keys available.  I’m sure this intentional to keep the pc at it’ssmall size.  Although there are not manykeys, the keys that are on the keyboard are big.  No need to feel cramped while typing. I alsolike how there is no defined space for the trackpad.  It’s almost as if the enter bottom part ofthe computer below the keyboard is a giant trackpad.  Even though it’s not, the trackpad is fairlylarge.  I like the illuminated keyboardalong with illuminated function keys, which are all touch enabled.   I don’t have much experience with Snapdragon processorsbut so far so good.  There’s 32 gb of ramso no worries on productivity at all.  Myonly setback is the lack of ports available.  Which can all be solved by getting a usb dongle but who wants to havethat hooked up while you’re in an airport. The good thing is that there’s a usb c port on each side but that’s it.  Nothing else. No usb or micro sd.  NOT a dealbreaker though.  Dell always comesthrough with laptop so expect nothing less from this one.  Comes loaded with Windows 11. Not a bunch ofspam loaded either.  Microsoft newest AI comes with it as well.  I've been using the more popular AI platform so I just need to get used to this one.  I would recommendthis pc to anyone looking for an ultraportable laptop.  And by the way, there's a terabyte of harddrive space available.

OK, this is my third Dell - XPS 13 model of laptop that I have tried and it is, by far the best... My first Dell - XPS 13, was essentially a brick. You could power it on, but after a few times of "sleeping", it would not power on. The only way to get it back up was to old-school disconnect the battery. That sounds reasonable, but with modern laptops, yiu can't just remove the battery and plug-and-play it back on. You have to remove the back with severa tiny screws, remove the battery connection and disconnect/reconnect the battery. Not cool. That said, Dell was GREAT and immediatly replaced it. The replacem en thas been awesome. The only problem is that the backlit keyboard on that model was silver-blue in color. Well, the backlighting being a white-silver made the backlighting often no-existant. This Dell - XPS 13 - Copilot+ PC beat that issue by having the keyboard black. It's a very nice backlight experience. Another major difference is the function keys are not a classic standard key. They are hard-loaded on the top row above the classik keys. That'skind of a cool feature. As far specs go, I am not going to go into any of that since it readily available from BB website, Dell website and my many great fellow reviewrs. Suffice ti to say, that tech specs a reblazing and the performance certainly matches to adverised specs. One important note, most components are built into the motherboard so this is not an upgradeable PC. But that's OK, since most users of this unit will not be game-chasing PC users. This is an excellent choice for persoanl. student and business use. And yes, it can certainly handle most hardcore gaming, but most hardcore gamers will go with a purpose built gaming machine. End of the day, this is an excellent choice for a high-end, portable laptop. I would reccomend it to a friend!

I’ve been using this laptop for the past few days exclusively and I haven’t found one program that runs slowly. It looks like Qualcomm really did nail it this time with their power sipping processor. Granted, I am using the fastest model processor and when you pair that with 32 gigs of RAM, you’re definitely gonna get performance. If you don’t, something is really wrong. in addition to running The entire Adobe fleet, I am able to run video editing software on this laptop, which I really did not expect to be able to do. While I’m not completely on board with AI, I do use services like ChatGPT to help me write pc/mac scripts. After using this laptop I can definitely see Microsoft copilot hitting the mainstream market very soon. ChatGPT is the backbone of Copilot and running copilot gives you access to Open AI’s Transformer 4.0 which is one of their newest models that OpenAI charges for. I like the way Microsoft integrates Copilot into its entire ecosystem. Now, the battery life on this machine is incredible. I was able to run a video loop for a little over a day (25 hours) on low brightness with processor set to balance. It was very impressive. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for all battery life.

This laptop is great. It was very easy to setup, although it did need to update right out of the box and that took some time, but after that, things went quick. The look of this laptop is sleek and stylish. The keys are completely flat and the function keys, volume, etc, don't have any visible keys at all. The same is true for the trackpad. You just need to feel where the right and left buttons are. It took a little time, but now I'm completely used to it. This laptop comes with Copilot , a virtual assistant, but honestly, this is the best I've seen. It's not static like some others. It has conversations with you and makes suggestions based on what you say. It does make mistakes sometimes, but not too often. There's also no lag. It responds right away making things even more natural. I'm working on writing a book and I can see this laptop helping out so much. It's super fast and Copilot adds to that by being able to help with suggestions like alternative phrases or words. The smaller size comes in handy for library days too, althought I'm not sure how Copilot would work there. But I look foward to many writing sessions with this handy unit.

I was excited to upgrade to this new laptop from Dell and it hasn’t let me down yet! Booted it up and updated software and then got to work. Transferring all my old files to this was quick and easy and I had no issues at all. Once I got everything transferred over I got to work using this computer as my daily work laptop. I’m a business owner so I use my laptop all day every day, all over the place. In my truck, at the offices at a coffee shop, etc. First off the battery life was impressive, I didn’t have any issues working all day and still had battery left at the end of the day. And that’s with my constantly doing Team’s calls, video editing, data uploads, etc. I’m running my business from my computer, so I NEED it to work like it should, all the time, no excuses. I just took a business trip with it across the country to San Francisco and I was able to work the whole flight with 0 issues and no worrying about the battery. I think in most impressed with its processing power. This thing can handle whatever you throw at it. Period. I trust it with my business and my livelihood.

This is truly a powerful productivity laptop at less than 3 pounds and is just overall a very thin and lightweight machine, still packed with plenty of power. It comes with a really bright OLED display and plenty of storage (a 1TB SSD) and tons of memory with 32GB of RAM. It works really well for productivity like work, word processing, spreadsheets and powerpoint creation/editing. It also has a very responsive and easy to use touchscreen. Combine this with CoPilot+ optimization, and it's a really powerful machine. That is really the main selling point for me - it is certified by Microsoft to support Microsoft's CoPilot AI tool, which allows me to complete productivity tasks all that much faster. Overall, the computer is just really fast, sleek and does a great job of supporting me in day to day activities. It also has a high end process from Qualcomm which supports this mission. It's also the perfect screen size (13.4") for on the go use and travel and still large enough to get things done on. I highly recommend this laptop.
