I upgraded from a Surface Pro 8 so I’m loving the bigger screen.

Very useful for education, essensially for college! 100% recommended.

Very funtional and aesthetic computer. I wanted a Windows that was as close as possible to a Mac in terms of quality/appearance and this one even go beyond it with the touch screen. I am very happy with my purchase.

Purchased in FL. Had to return the first one purchased because screen was glitching on first night after setup. Returning was a hassle because store didn't have any more in stock and staff was not helpful with solution or getting from another store. I am from out of state dropping son at college. I had to call some other stores myself. I find one over an hour away and they wouldn't hold for me when i called them. I had to return at store i bought from them five directly over an hour away and hope they still had in stick. Real pain and non existent customer service. Each store said different things about policy. No issues with 2nd purchase. Nice setup and options.

In laptop there is a lag getting better performance in other dell laptops

The new Dell XPS 14 laptop has a very nice portable package designed to make it very easy to travel with as well as having the excess power you need from performing moderate to heavily enduring tasks. The XPS series continues to carry the touch bar with the hidden functionality keys at its top this current model is designed around the influence of AI and it's use of AI capabilities. Dell has continued to follow its minimalism characteristics that are in line with today's competitors providing 3 thunderbolt ports/USB-C ports Capable of charging, providing power for extra devices, or external monitors while continuing to use its crisp and clean 3.2k touch panel display. There is an included microSD card slot to add additional storage or for easy transfer from various microSD cards. One item that has returned to the series is the application of a 3.5mm audio/mic combination jack. The Intel Core 7 processor utilized in this machine has the ability to boost performance as needed to help with the processing power and speed when needed and has become more power efficient while supporting interactions with various AI supported applications and interfaces. While various AI functions may take a little getting used to, they do become very helpful in working through various actions like design, dictation, review processing to ensure you’re using clean and understandable language at times. The keyboard has changed it's not as flat and does not feel as though there’s a lot of travel when depressing the keys. In the previous series there was no feel at the surface as though the keys were flat across, this slight change does make your hands feel more comfortable and at “home” during use. The “My Dell” application suite continues to grow while adding additional features for customization of the machine to you with the overall intent to making your experience more user friendly want to return to the machine, while being able to apply updates to the machine. Dell’s “look away” feature is actually a really nice feature because it recognizes or at least attemps to recognize when you're not actually using the screen, but looking away or in a conversation where your focus is not on the screen and dims the screen to conserve power. The “Walk Away Lock/Wake on Approach” feature allows the screen to turn off and lock the machine as you walk away and it doesn't detect you near system anymore within 30 to 120 seconds; the wake on approach is a similar to which it detects how close you are to the machine and as you approach, the screen will wake to the login prompt awaiting your login (pending how you have your login setup). The included operating system is Windows 11 Home edition, Pro is an option for at an additional cost and may be upgraded directly through the machine. With regards to AI, the new Microsoft co-pilot feature that's included with the machine’s operating system integrates very nicely with the machine while trying to learn from you what your daily functions are and aid in various actions from gaining a better understanding of information through chat interaction and direct feedback, and being able to create various forms and types of content, edit, and add additional automation to your workflows. Since this is a Microsoft product, it does tie into the MS Office 365 suite to add additional capability. Overall, this machine is a nice for a number of application outside of school and business use such as design, photo and art editing, video editing/creation, content makers, and much more.

Constant, obnoxious fans with a high-pitch whirring sound. My previous gaming laptop made less noise at baseline--not a great choice if you value peace.

Worked great the first day i used it, right after the screen started glitching and would go black randomly or get lines through it. I initiated a warranty claim with DELL, sending it in now, hopefully they can resolved it.

After two weeks of using the computer, the display showed RGB point and horizontal lines. I contacted Dell Support Service, and they could not resolve the issue after many attempts.

Honestly, this computer has not worked since I got it. I have loved Dell for years. However, the last 2 laptops have been a mess.

I have always been a fan of a minimalistic form factor as well as smaller sized laptops / ultrabooks and this unit is simply exceptional in its appearance. Unboxing - this unit showed premium packaging and included in the box: laptop, 60W charger, dongle (USB-c to USB-A/HDMI). Initial impression of the laptop – I will have to admit that it takes a lot to impress me after having numerous high-end laptops in my years, but this unit truly makes quite the impression. The infinity edge of the screen is almost bezel-less as advertised. The keys of the keyboard are not raised but flush with the chassis to give a very nice, minimalistic appearance to the keyboard. The keys of the keyboard are also gapless and larger than most laptop keys in this size. The haptic glass touchpad is also seamless and invisible. This took a minute to get used to as one is used to seeing the touchpad but after a few minutes it was readily apparent that I had zero misses on the trackpad. Simply a beautiful design. Ports – This unit has 3, thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, a headphone jack as well as a micro-SD card slot which I certainly appreciate as I take a lot of landscape photographs and find it much easier to simply insert my card and transfer files. This unit also comes with the dongle as mentioned above which I prefer over having a dedicated USB-A (antiquated) and HDMI. I feel this helps to minimize the size of the chassis required. I tested both of the dongle ports and they worked flawlessly. Sound – Overall I feel this performed as well as any of my other ultrabooks – it won’t blow you out of the water but performs well in average use scenarios. Screen – Simply stunning and I feel the best I have seen on a laptop. The colors are bright, the blacks are deep black and color representation is top notch on this 3.2K OLED. I did some work outside on a nice sunny day and had no problems with seeing the screen – with brightness at about 80%. One cannot possibly be disappointed in this category. Battery Life – No problems here as I was able to get a solid 7-8 hours of moderate usage without difficulty. I do not know of many that need more than this at a sitting and intermittent charging (which is quite fast with the 60W charger) is standard for most laptop users. Performance – I put this unit to a four-hour test with various modalities of usage (video, audio, photo management, daily work and email tasks, web browsing etc. I did not once hear the fan engage and the laptop remained cool to touch throughout. The 32Gb RAM performed flawlessly for multiple tasks opened at the same time and the Intel Core Ultra 7 processor was up to the task for everything thrown at it. The side venting works very well as I was able to use this on my lap without the unit getting warm. Overall, I am very pleased with this units’ capabilities and performance. Please note that I am not a gamer so I did not test the capabilities in that arena. Last Impression – I think it will be very difficult to find many flaws with this Dell offering and I would have to give this a 10/10 for what I use a laptop to do. Simply a beautiful machine!
