I went into bestbuy clueless as to what laptop to buy for my school, landschape architect major, which requieres alot of graphic design. use of photoshop, illustrator, autocad, rhino, etc. so far so good! runs fast with all my programs open all at once. memory i don't worry about either since it comes with high memory. touch screen is a plus. the laptop comes with tablet mode, however i find it useless, for now. however everything works great. Sound on the laptop is waaayy better than expected. graphics on screen look amazing. MONEY WELL SPENT!

I love this laptop! The video card is before its time

I am a programmer and need a lot of computer resources, RAM, CPU, & Hard Drive. Plus the bonus of the speed of a solid state drive, an I7 Quad Core Processor along with Bluetooth, Touch screen, and Camera. It has it all and it is fast. It would have been perfect if I could have had it with Windows 7 but I am getting used to windows 10.

What you can do with this computer is amazing !!! I am a PhD in Computational Chemistry and the computer run smoothly the software that I use. I reconfigure the screen to 1920 x 1080 becuase in 4K everything is too small. I installed linux and works fine. The battery life is not the best but I can make it last a full day of work

Most 4k video editing software I reviewed required 8gig of ram min. with more recommended! This laptop with 16gig of ram and a terabyte ssd will be very useful! If that isn't enough, it can easily be updated to 32gig with the 2 memory slots! Also, the 4k screen is awesome for video watching! I like the backlit keyboard and large touchpad also! I was also able to order, on Amazon, a $20 polycarbonate top and bottom cover for it to protect it from the everyday bumps and scratches! I would absolutely order it again!

Great features with this machine. One concern I have is whether the weight and size will be a concern for carrying around campus every day vs lesser features but compact lightweight tablet

This is a great laptop! I have owned a few and this is certainly the best! Some apps are not compatible with the resolution --- this will come over time....Crystal clear display, pictures look fantastic

The computer is powerful, with a long battery life, and a great screen. My only issue is the pointer gets lost periodically when there is a lot of reflection in the screen.

Great computer, fast, quiet, touch screen, SSD, handles every program with ease. The 4k screen gives beautiful graphics - but some software is not yet written to optimize on 4k and sometimes results in buttons or icons almost too small to use.

This might be the best laptop that I've ever owned. I've got Thinkpads that are 10 years old that are still running and are very repairable and amazing in their own right, but the XPS 15 is turning out to be the best of everything. It's solid construction feels like no other Windows laptop out there, and the uncompromising performance for a laptop this slim and pretty makes it stand out. The display is gorgeous of course. The keyboard is about as nice as any. The trackpad is nice, yet you'll have to get the Synaptics drivers shoehorned onto it to get the best of it. Thunderbolt 3 is turning out out to be a great asset in running 4k displays. I bought and returned 3 laptops before this one and I will keep it (as long as it doesnt just die on me). I do believe you get what you pay for and this, for the price is the best in 2015/16.

I've been in the computer business since the 80s, building my own desktops and sometimes buying laptops. The best desktop I've owned was one I built from scratch. The XPS 15 is the best laptop I've ever purchased, by far. After all of the updates were downloaded and installed, this thing sings. The screen is beautiful, the keyboard a dream, and the trackpad is smooth and responsive. Unlike many modern laptops, this is expandable, and soon I'll be bumping it up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of SSD. My only regret is that Dell hasn't released the Thunderbolt Dock yet, but that's coming soon.

I am a hobbyist photographer and wanted a quality lap top to edit photographs while on the road. This lap top has been working great. It is fast and the screen is high quality allowing me to view and edit with confidence.

while it may look stylish and sleek on the outside, what, with it's machined aluminum housing, carbon fiber palm rest and backlit keyboard, this pup is also a powerhouse packed with features and performance which helps you get the job done quickly efficiently, and with grace. thumbs up. ZANG!

Dell has made an incredible product with the xps 15, hands down only laptop to compete with the macbook pro

Great laptop, fast and awesome graphics. Only wish it a has more USB connections, only 2. No issues so far, but have not been using it for any gaming yet.

Replaced my 4 year old Sony laptop with one that had plenty of memory, speed and ram. Have used it for 3 months and have been happy with the laptop.

The Dell XPS 15 is a real workhorse. Great screen, performance, connectivity, and speakers are more than adequate. Solid design with a strong chassis. The keyboard is a little tight but the track pad is nice and large. Great for work and play. Did I mention the great screen !
