I purchased this laptop to use in conjunction with my camera for astrophotography. It suits that purpose perfectly. I also play games including Tom Clancy's Watchdogs (low settings). Definitely get a good, high end cooler to sit it on. This baby runs hot.

Was originally looking at the hp Spectre 15.6" but am glad that I chose this laptop. The build quality is excellent and Dell's customer service is top notch. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cool running and long lasting laptop with excellent specs!

Nice configuration for personal use. The one i got had problems in speakers. Got the device replaced and now enjoying this one.

Bought this for my daughter to start Interior Design college. Seems to fit the purpose perfectly. Great screen and plenty fast.

Nice unit! the new (no edge) screen means the unit can be physically smaller without sacrificing screen size. The key board area is silky smooth. You gotta touch it! Windows 10 is very nice once you get the hang of it. Fast and tons of storage.

Love this laptop, my only concern was lack of USB ports. More is better when it comes to USB. Other than that, all good.

Overall, the computer is very good. It is fast and the screen resolution is fantastic. The only problem is in the keyboard spacebar. At times, it seems to be loose and will skip operation unless pressed very hard. Pressing on the bar hard and rubbing its length several times corrects the problem for a while, then it comes right back.

I purchased this laptop to do my heavy lifting for work, primarily video, media and animation work. It might actually be a great laptop if I could get it to do some of the most simplest of functions without a hitch. For example the mouse is all over the place, and ranges from being hypersensitive to non-responsive when executing the most mundane tasks. I have adjusted the settings and tinkered to settle it down, however, there are still occasions when it is either lagging or non-responsive. I have also noticed that occasionally the laptop screen flickers and blanks out. After further research I found that disabling the Dell app for media color or true color, or something color was the culprit for the screen issues. But why should I have to do that? Another issue I noticed is that for some reason it does not recognize certain Bluetooth devices, for example my Bose headphones, simply does not pick it up. In some cases I am unsure if it is the function of the laptop and the many Dell sponsored apps they include on the machine, or if its windows 10 and the many Microsoft sponsored apps they've included that help perpetuate these issues. Maybe both tiers of apps detract from or compromise the OS in some way. Either way, I don't feel like its worth the money I paid for it. This is a machine I need to use everyday and I don't like chasing down or trying to fix things that are routine in nature.

If your looking for notebook that has some power this is the one. This computer can handle a whirlwind of programs running at once and asks for more. Have rolled out several of these units to employees, have had 0 issues with them all.

Great computer. Only drawbacks were that is wasn't as rugged as I thought and battery life is only about 6 hrs.

This is by far the best laptop or computer for that matter that I have ever owned. It is very well designed. We have the Apple MacBook Pro as well and I was leery of getting this laptop since I was so accustomed to the MacBook. I now think that the Dell XPS has a far superior design. In addition, the specs that are available for it combined with its price sets it apart from the MacBooks in a league of its own. I highly recommend this laptop for general use, business use or even design use (which is what I use it for).

This laptop is everything I wanted and so much more! I use Adobe programs and the programs load incredibly fast as any other program. I purchased an opened box to save some $ and that again was a great decision too!

Great laptop with amazing feature but I would like an additional USB connection and bigger keyboard section

I bought this for work. The 4K screen is pretty sharp compared to my other previous laptops. Like the carbon shell. Still have problems setting it up to span to other screens as the big screen still wants to make the FONT's huge and the fonts on the laptop really tiny. Lot of adjusting needed. Overall, I like it. Very fast and does what I need it to do but VERY expensive. Glad the company bought it for me... 2K is a lot of money for a 15" laptop.

Everything works well with exception of syncing Calendar and Contacts between my iPhone and laptop. As I understand it, this is the result of lack of cooperation/coordination between Microsoft Outlook and Google (Gmail). I am sorely disappointed that these two software giants can't get their act together for the benefit of their customers. As a result I am forced to use Outlook for emails and Google for Contacts and Calendar. This is unacceptable.

Bought this in March as a replacement for a slow, out of date laptop - never realized how bad the old one was until I started playing my games. Lightweight - perfect for my backpack traveling through campus!
