I'm not a computer geek so when I turn it on I need it to work. This lap top is light, fast, and has not disappointed.

This is a great 2 in 1. 500 dollars cheaper than the comparable MacBook. Made me switch back from Awful Apple.

I have a couple of complaints about this laptop: although it has an i7 processor it’s an odd version that I’ve never heard of and performs more like an i5. My cpu is often stressed when just having multiple chrome tabs open plus maybe Spotify and one other application. Another problem I can’t seem to fix is that chrome constantly crashes. It’s up to date, I’ve deleted a couple extensions, and deleted chrome and redownloaded and nothing’s seemed to work. My final issue is that a couple times a day the laptop will make a very high pitch beeping noise at random times. I’ve looked it up on google and can’t find anything that helps. I’m considering using my warrentee to get it checked.
Besides these three things I love the laptop. It has a sleek design, and is very slim and light. The screen looks amazing and the bezel is so small which makes watching videos so satisfying. I would recommend the dell XPS to a friend but maybe just a better model of it. My friend has one with lower specs and no 360 flex but seems to perform better.

Devin,
We're sorry that your XPS is not performing the way that you hoped it would. If you feel like your computer is being overworked maybe you need to uninstall some of the pre-installed software that came with your computer that you do not plan to use. Here's a list of suggested programs to remove: https://dell.to/2JruiaG.
If you'd like to diagnose the crashes that you're experiencing you can run this test:
1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports". 2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software. 3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly. 4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
We'd also suggest checking to make sure that your software and drivers are up to date on Dell's Product Page - http://dell.to/2iaEr1Z.
We hope that these tips help your computer perform the way you'd like it to.
Best, Bryan 1-800-624-9896

Enjoy the size of the laptop and how thin/light it is. Have had zero issues. Wish there were an USB input and not just the new input where you need to use an adapter. Should have both. Only real complaint I have is the load time when turning the computer on. Not a big issue but definitely not "instant on" like other products. Overall, you can't go wrong with the laptop.

This is an awesome laptop if you want to use for a very long time. I can easily see using for for the next 5-6 years. Also for people reading this review, This model si the cheapest at bestbuy, configuing the same on dell/any other retailer is way more expensive!

The BEST Laptop I have ever own. With the Solid State Memory you don't have to worry about heat, damage when moving the laptop. Unfortunately, my wife use it all of the time, so I don't get to use it unless we are traveling. We do picture editing so some of the other less expensive computers just don't cut it. This is a Great Choice for a laptop.

I love this laptop. It is the perfect laptop for work. I travel between two different buildings and when I put this laptop in my backpack, I barely noticed it. It fit easily and it was comfortable to carry. The real test is when I rode my bike to work with the laptop in my backpack. It was super easy and comfortable too. The laptop took up minimum space on my desk and is perfect for my traveling work life.
The display is awesome. It uses Dell's Infinity Edge that makes the bezels super small and you really don't notice them at all. Touch screen was very receptive and I had no issues with the touch screen. Colors seemed nice and accurate to me, but I basically use the laptop for MS Office apps, Chrome and a few other work related non graphics intense programs. I can not speak for gaming or hooking up the laptop to a larger monitor.
As for the power of the XPS, the laptop uses the Y processor which is fan less and makes the laptop super quiet. The laptop comes with 16 GB ram and 512 GB SSD which makes the computer fast. This is my first SSD and it is a huge difference with starting up programs, multi tasking and day to day operations. The processor is fine for my needs but it isn't fast enough for serious gamers.
Connectivity is good. I had no issues with wifi and it worked as well as my last laptop. With the smaller size there are not a lot of ports, it does come with a USB type C connector which is nice but you will probably want to buy a dongle if you plan on hooking up a lot of things to your lap top. At least it comes with an SD card reader.
I liked the keyboard. Spacing was nice and easy for me to learn and get used to quickly. I liked how the keyboard lights up when it gets dark, a nice feature to have. The speakers are nice, but nothing earth shattering. Watching You Tube videos was fine.
This is a 2 in 1 laptop so you can fold it back to turn it into a table which is nice. I enjoyed this when using the laptop at home. It is a very thing laptop so when it was in tablet mode it was easy to hold and carry. The small bezels really improved the tablet feel too.
My only complaint is that the front camera is on the bottom of the display. When using the camera sometimes people had a weird shot up my nose, but with a little adjustment they had a nicer view of me.
This is the laptop for someone who takes their laptop everywhere with them and needs an efficient, light weight easily transportable laptop.

So far this computer has just been amazing, quick to turn on, easy to maneuver, easy installs, high quality video, clarity and screen. Comes with an adapter to connect USBs thought it would be a problem but its worked out great. Battery life is great, I usually only charge it twice a week.

We purchased and returned two of these because of major glitches. Both devices would turn off randomly, screen freeze and performance was dismal!!! We were hugely disappointed and surprised because we purchased this after doing extensive reviews.
Making matters worse, Dell support sucks! They were not at all helpful and just wanted to try to sell us some extra protection.
Buyer beware!!! AVOID DELL!!!

Very reliable. I've waited some time before reviewing to ensure that no problems arose shortly thereafter. Have had no problems at all.

Very good, fast laptop. I just miss the old ten-key numeric pad off to the right. Also not a fan of the new USB port which now requires an adapter, but that’s not specific to this laptop of course.
