This is the second one of these we have had. The timer option is the best.

The design is flawed with no escape for the steam that is generated by the hot water. Good cup of coffee, but did take the varnish off of the cabinet.

Primary complaint is how long it takes to brew the coffee. Even fewer than six cups takes a LONG time.

Good coffee, good temp. Easy to fill and clean. Fits well under the cabinet and saves work space. What else could one need?!! ....................................the drip interrupter for when you can't wait, always drips on the hot plate, even after the brew is done! Time to clean the hotplate again........

Bought the coffee maker on 7/13/14 and it stopped functioning right on the 12th of August. It should make 12 cups of coffee and when 12 cups of water were put in the reservoir only 6 cups brewed. It smells real hot and steams and sounds like it is boiling all during the brewing process. Very disappointed. We had the same type of coffee maker years ago and it lasted along time.

The coffee pot took forever to brew a pot of coffee. After 8 months it just stopped brewing altogether.

I'm amazed more coffee makers are not designed with front access. I LOVE that I don't have to move this out from under my cabinet just to put water and coffee in. The design seems very solid. The carafe does not sit flush with the warmer which keeps the coffee from getting burnt. At first, i thought it a flaw, but i think it is a great detail. The reusable filter has a solid bottom which keeps me from dripping coffee all over when taking grounds to the trash. The coffee comes out smooth but strong, not bitter. The only issue is that darned clock. It is a bit annoying to start at 1200 and have to hold the button down until you get to your desired time. But, that is such a small issue when considering the overall quality and ingenuity of the machine.

DeLonghi DCF2212T coffeemaker - the idea of the pull out to fill feature is good- but still had to move the unit to fill it. Carafe always "dribble" when pouring coffee. Worse clock to set - had to go around 24 hrs if missed the time. AND the coffee tasted terrible.

We bought this coffee maker with great hopes. Good thing we purchased extra warranty coverage. Returned for rusty heating plate 2 times. After second return decided not to replace with the same brand of coffee maker.

the programming is too difficult. You have to go all around to get to the time you want. You can't go back if you make a mistake.

Nice looking coffee maker but that's it. It didn't brew hot coffee and it took a long time. I returned it and Best Buy didn't blink, gave me a refund. Thanks Best Buy!

Excellent, Well Designed Coffemaker, Front Loading

I really don't understand why more coffeemakers aren't designed with front loading access similar to this DeLonghi model. The design allows you to add water and coffee without moving the machine from under your kitchen counter. Just pull on the front handle- Fantastic! I purchased the old version of this coffeemaker for $49 and it lasted six years! This new version is very similar and has even been improved in a few ways. The carafe and its lid have been completely redesigned and coffee pours out much nicer now. The boiler power has been increased from 900 to 1,000 watts so coffee brews faster. In standard mode (without the Aroma button on) it brews 12 cups in 10 minutes. That's not bad at all. It always makes great tasting coffee and the warming plate keeps it warm for up to two hours. Yes the clock and timer programming are still a bit quirky but its not a big issue. The top warmer tray has also been improved and I always use it to warm my coffee mugs. This new model is better looking now as well and looks very stylish and modern on my kitchen counter. A very nice and durable coffeemaker for a good price!

Perfect product, couldn't ask for better

This is my second time to own this product. I bought it a couple of years ago and loved it. My partner shortly thereafter insisted on us switching to a Keurig. I was game since I love coffee and thought it would make good coffee. I found the Keurig less than satisfying, expensive if you drink as much coffee as I do, and unreliable (I had water leaks). In the meantime I had given this coffeemaker to a friend (who uses it to this day. I have since tried several other coffee makers since this one was a bit pricey, but none made good coffee. I recently came back to this one after deciding to bite the bullet and buy a new one. So glad I did. The ease of use is wonderful with the front opening door for water and coffee. The coffee tastes great on the regular setting and is perfect with the aroma setting. It's programmable for work days. Really, I have no complaints. It also comes with a wire mesh filter if you'd rather use that than paper filters. I personally use paper because they filter out the small amount of cholesterol coffee naturally has. All and all, you won't find a better coffee maker under $100.
