This receiver in my opinion is one of the best that XM has to offer. The large, colorful screen provides great visibility and is just beautiful to stare at. Two of the most useful features of this one is the programming guide and the ability to split the screen. This way you can be listening to one station but also keep your eye out for another favorite song that may be playing on another station. The receiver automatically records the last 60 minutes of whatever you've been listening to, so if there's something you want to hear again, simply "rewind". Another nice feature is the ability to save up to 10 of your favorite songs. You'll need to have been listening to your station before the song comes on, or the receiver will inform you that you won't be able record the whole song upon recording initiation. The interface is friendly and navigation is easy. And of course, you can program in up to 10 of your favorite stations. I'm not big into stocks, but for those of you who are, the stock ticker should be nice. The receiver will also alert you when your favorite sports team is playing and what channel the game can be heard on. There is one issue that I have personally come across. At least once a month or two, my receiver will "freeze up". When this happens, I have to pull it out of the cradle and plug it back in. When I turn it on again, it works fine but I notice that the receiver resets completely: favorite channels, favorite songs, all gone. I'm not sure why it does this, but so far it's the only con that I can think of. Great receiver that I would recommend to anyone who is looking to get into XM.

I must thank all the reviewers on this satellite radio. It helped me make the decision on this purchase. I LOVE this radio! I like that I can enjoy sattelite radio in my car (it's portable to enjoy everywhere with the accessories you can buy.) I like that I can save my favorite songs to play back any time. I can also get the alerts to my favorite groups/singers as well!! The color screen gives it a fun look and personality. I like that it can scroll the sports scores and schedules. (You can have stocks scroll as well.) Have it installed professionally for a few $$ more. It's worth having it done right if you're not electronically savvy. This radio is not something you will have "buyer's remorse" with. Instead, you will say, why didn't I buy this sooner?

Wow! This radio amazes me. I just upgraded from the Audiovox Xpress EZ and this is incredible. The sound capacity and clarity is outstanding compared to Xpress EZ. No more hissing and air sounds! The color screen is amazing and beautiful. And, the remote is an added bonus, but I wish it had a back light to help assist during night driving. I only been an XM customer for a month now and I don't like getting out of the car since buying this radio. Truly fantastic!

This unit is awesome i have the Inno also but this units screen size along with the split screen adn the recorability of your top 10 favorite songs makes it comparable to my INNO. Not to mention its got a sexy look to it... Def would recommend it !

This is my second XM Radio unit and by far the best. I have the Sirius version of this color radio. (Sportster 5) and this blows that away Excellent clear display. The Audio is crystal clear too. I run mine though the Ipod jack in the car . The stock ticker is so cool,if your stocks are up the price is in Green or down in Red. Also has a split screen ability and you can store ten songs and play them back on the unit. The replay and pause feature was a must for me,since I am a UPS Driver and I can pause the ballgame and not miss a pitch then catch up and fast forward through the commercial. The unit also comes with a convenient remote. If you can afford the extra cost this is the best unit out there and I also like the fact that it's made by Delphi, They have made radios for G.M. for years and have always made quality products.

I live in a rural area with both less than adequate reception and music choices. I got this radio on sale and have been very pleased with it in the couple of months I've had it. Reception and sound is beautiful, and I have only scratched the surface as far as using the numerous features. I do have a little trouble reading the split screen (I station-surf quite a bit and really like the song ID feature on all the stations), but I manage. The radio itself is great. But XM is not as deep as I thought. If you're into alternative music and like U2, Nine Inch Nails, and Korn, you're in luck as the XM alternative stations play these groups over and over and over. I'm not so I make great use of the song ID feature.

I have a newer car with XM built-in & we decided to buy an XM unit for another vehicle that we own. We are extremely happy with this unit - so much so that I am also considering changing out the stereo in my car for one more like this unit. The color screen is easy to read and the remote is easily affixed with velcro to make operation safe while operating your vehicle. We had it installed at the store with the FM direct connect - they did a great job with the installation and the sound is AWESOME! After bad exeriences with MP3's and FM modulators we knew better than to go that route.

I don't honestly know how else to say it, outside of a portable unit (I love my Inno) the new XpressRC is the best (((XM))) radio available to date. The newest additions on top of the Split-Screen display (introduced first with the XpressR) is a 60 minute pause live music instead of 30, a BEAUTIFUL color display that's very easy to read, and a "song saver" feature that will allow you to save 10 tracks to the units on-board memory. Each feature I've found EXTREMELY easy to use and had no problem taking advantage of all it's functions while driving. The only recommendation I'd make on top of picking up the unit itself would be a professional installation. Although, as I said, an FM transmitter is included, a 9 foot range is kind of weak (apparently the FCC won't allow more then that). I live in Philadelphia and there's so much interference locally, I have yet to find an FM transmitter that I've been completely happy with. Not to mention, the better ones cost a fortune. You'd be better off throwing that money into an installation. Also, you DO have the option of the cassette adapter out-of-the-box. The FM transmitter isn't your ONLY option. For myself, I'd bought an FM Direct adapter (a very reasonable $30) and was able to install it myself, but I was unhappy with the way it ended up looking. I'd prefer some of the wires were hidden a little better and I didn't know how to install the power splitter that came with it. Usually a lot of Big-Box retailers run a free-installation deal with purchase. considering I ended up buying all the additional parts anyway, in hindsight, I probably would have been better off having someone else set it up for me.

This Delphi XM Express RC, by far, has the best display I've seen thus far - much better than the blueish tint monochrome units I've seen, which are difficult for me to read. The split screen function is nice, but I find it only occasionally useful. I really appreciate the higher resolution graphics and character readability, for my middle aged eyes. Unit worked perfectly right out of the box, w/no problems whatsoever. Using it at home right now, but will be installed in vehicle eventually. Downside: Antenna cable is flimsy, and signal fluctuates with cable routing - cable kinks very easily. Made in China. No need to say more. GUI layout is nice, but sometimes obtuse at times. Could use more intuitive layout, but you grow accustomed to it after a while. Overall, a good purchase. Could stand some improvement in user interface, esp. very irritating channel preview that reverts back to current ch. after a few sec unless you are constantly scrolling. Has a nice, hefty feel, not just cheepy lightweight plastic like so much portable audio equip niow. Audio line out level could stand a bit more range, but it works OK. Other than that, so far - very nice unit. 4 stars...

Delphi has done their homework on the design of this wonderful unit. I have been an XM customer for about 3 years and this receiver kicks butt compared to older units. The most enjoyable and amazing feature is the RECORDING CAPIBILITY. The unit basically starts recording every song that comes on in the background and you don't even know it. When you like the song you are listening to, simply push and hold one button down and it saves that song to a memory. There are a total of 10 slots to store your favorite songs you want to save. As you add more, it will overwrite the oldest one and go on down the line. I LOVE THIS FEATURE. If you are channel changing as we all do on the TV, and you don't like anything you hear, simply switch over to your recorded songs and listen to them! Also, the display is absolutely beautiful in any car. Easy to read, wonderful blend of graphics for each channel, and color coded by types of music. Thanks Delphi for designing a wonderful and useful tool to add to my listening pleasure of XM Radio. The ONLY con I would say is that I used to have 30 memory channels and this unit only has 10. I really liked the memory channel buttons BUT, this unit is so easy to tune through the channels that it is not a total bummer. Watch the road while you drive because you will be captivated by the beautiful display constantly.

This is a great little unit. For the most part the reception is very good, sometimes blips out when surrounded by tall trees, but I am in WA state and it still rarely happens. Easy to install. My husband, bless his heart, is not the best at putting things together, but he had this baby installed within 20 mins- no problem. I was disappointed that there are still commercials on some of the stations, but I just preset the buttons to my favs and switch when one comes on. I recommend getting the home stereo dock, so if you are listening to a program you can continue when you get home. Definately don't notice the long drives to/from work as much.

With 90% of my driving taking place in the Mojave desert or San Bernardino mountains where terrestial radio reception is almost nil, satellite makes for a more enjoyable journey. I chose the XpressRC because of the advanced features such as the color display and pause/rewind capability and it has exceeded my expectations in every regard. The Geek Squad installer at the Cucamonga store did a nice job of concealing all wires and hardwiring the receiver's output into my factory stereo's AUX input for great sound. All in all, I'm totally satisfied and consider the XpressRC a top product and the installation a neat and professional job done.

I really like the look and the ease of use. The only problem and it is a big problem, is that my car has an integrated antenna in the rear windshield. Thsi is a big problem because the unit is to far away from the antenna and it can't get a signal. I am getting the sure connect from best buy tomorrow, and will see if that works better. Otherwise i will need to get a pro to install the Direct connection.

I had to purchase a new unit because a short in my car fried my old unit. I really didn't want to spend more than $100, but I was blown away when I checked out this unit in a local Best Buy. The Color Screen is not only cool, but a 1000X easier to read than my previous XPress R. My unit is wired right into the faceplate of my car radio, but when I have tried to use the FM Modulator, I didnt get the best reception. And no, I dont work for Best Buy,XM or Audiovox....

All in all I enjoy having this in my car. It's big colored display makes it easy to read and navigate through it. The only think I don't like is that I have to use the tape player to play it, because the FM way just does'nt sound as good.

Great product thats simple to use. When on the road you'll ask yourself how you ever survived without this awesome radio. The color screen is a plus, which makes the radio even more enjoyable, as well as the simple remote.

I got the Xpress RC for Christmas and I absolutely love it. I can always find something that I want to listen to. I really lilke the alert features. It'll tell you when your favorite artist has a song playing or when your favorite sports teams are playing. I read reviews that said the built in FM modulator wasn't very good, so I bought the FM direct adaptor which is great. It was relatively easy to install and totally worth it. I've never had to worry about local stations over powering it. If you spend a lot of time in your car, buy this product.

I like this unit a lot, but the mounting kit provided for car use is not very sturdy.

This is the best satilite radio to ever be built.It has great stations and song. A GREAT BUY.

Never thought I would fall for pay radio but with this unit and spending 2+ hours in the car every day, it's fantastic! I love the ability to "rewind" music I just heard but the best feature of all is the ability to tell the unit who your favorite artists are and then, whenever they're playng on anothre channel, you get an alert and with the push of a button you can go to the other station. It is an awesome feature.
