This is a very exciting machine. We thought we would use it a little and it turns out we use it constantly. We buy whole sirloins etc from Sam's and slice it into steaks etc. We also slice skinless chicken breast into thirds and make jerky for the dogs. Put meat into the freezer for about a half hour, so it's really cold and it slices uniformly. By whole cooked ham and beef and slice it into cold cuts. FABULOUS!

the slicer is exactly what you paid for. It's not a $3000 one, it's a $100 one. Don't forget to look for max slicing size when buying these. This one is 7/8's of an inch. I cannot slice steaks on it, or large chunks of lunch meat (the kind of size you see at your local deli). But I can slice real turket breast, and small hams. I can even slice cooked roast beef. It does not hold the juices, and then leaks/drips all over your counter, so be prepared and lay down some paper towels. Cleaning is easy if you have a little know how (I took off my blade to clean it - easy!). Be sure to use the guide - don't want to loose a finger! For the money...a good buy! I worked for 12 years in a deli, and it is a good home use slicer.
