Easy set up, once powered up. Would have preferred a hard copy of owners manual though. System performance is outstanding for the unit price point. Genuine theatre like sound. Enhances movie experience for your home theatre. Love the component interface. Lots of options offered. Highly recommended.

So far I like the receiver, one reason I purchased this receiver instead of an Onkyo which I have purchased in the past, is because the salesman told me this receiver would automatically switch from dolby digital or surround to music or whatever automatically by pressing the mode button, and set the receiver to do that. I don't seem to be able to do that , and I called your customer service dept. to ask them to send me some instructions for my receiver. They told me they could not do that, and I would have to go online and go to Office Depot to get it printed out at a cost of about fifteen dollars. This was very disappointing to me that your company could not even send me the instruction and user manual to learn about the receiver., I believe it should be included when you buy a product.. I was very satisfied, however with the installer. I just do not know enough about using it to get the sound I would like to have and do not want to have to go to a computer to find out about every little thing.

Absolutely love my new Denon receiver! Replaced an old Pioneer receiver that didn't deliver very good highs or power. The new Denon receiver is powerful, crystal clear, and sounds great. Had all the features I was looking for.

This receiver was recommended by store personnel, and they didn't go wrong. I needed to replace another high end receiver that kept overheating, and this one is is great! So far no problems, great sound and great power

Receiver has great sound and power. Takes some time getting used to all functions and how to set up zones. Only problem I had is one of the speaker connections was loose but other than that, a great receiver.

Lots of HDMI Inputs to handle just about any set up. Surprisingly easy to set up. Less than an hour for 4 speakers, and 4 components. Couldn't be happier

I had a Denon Receiver for many years and was extremely pleased. Upgrading to HDMI I tried an Onkyo Receiver that was "future ready" with Dolby Atmos and DTS X. Unfortunately, I had two Rceivers that for some reason shut down and went into an Error stand-by mode. I returned both and went back to Denon. An extremely easy and user friendly set-up. It has a great and clear sound. I do admit, I need to really turn up the volume in the 70 range to get my desired "movie theater" experience. My wife admits though that it is a nice clear sound, not "blasty" loud like my other Receivers. I am excited to next upgrade my monitor and speakers to meet the high quality of the Receiver.

Awesome machine. Loved the power output, huge array of features and settings, USB plug and play, and how user friendly it was.
However, not designed well internally. Receiver went into protection mode anytime the volume was turned above a certain level (with or without any speakers connected to it.) I spent several hours over several days trying to troubleshoot with the Denon team who ultimately told me to go exchange it - which I did...for an Onkyo.

Lots of HDMI ports that allow you to truly have a home entertainment center. For those with multiple gaming consoles, it's nice to be able to hook everything up. Great features and settings. The sound presets aren't too bad. We bought a Denon receiver about 15 years ago, still works great, but has been retired to the garage. Would not had needed to buy a new receiver if the old one had more HDMI ports.

I have had an old Yamaha reciever for probably 10 or more years. I really needed an upgrade. This unit has a ton of inputs, and was easy to setup and program. My old reciever was only a 6.1 and I had my house wired for that setup, and luckliy this unit will convert the 7.1 signal down to 6 speakers to be compatible.
I've had 2 issues with the unit, one is that sometimes when fast forwarding the DVR, the sound won't "catch" and it will be silent, but that is normally fixed by rewinding for a second and trying again. It doesn't happen too often so it hasn't bothered me. Also for a period of a couple days it got stuck in a firmware update loop that would flash some text on screen, it took some finagling to get that cleared, but it's been great ever since.
Sound quality and options have been top notch, no complaints from me.

This is my first Denon product and I have been very impressed. The Dolby Atmos features was my main draw and it added a whole new dimension to the surround sound experience. Plus it's ability to upgrade to DTS:X is a major plus. Lots of inputs and being able to plug my usb drive in for HD audio playback is awesome. The Audyssey calibration software makes setup a snap.

I love this receiver. It puts out great sound and has all the inputs you could need. The downside is on zone 2 you can't play HMDI and Digital audio. It will only play analog audio which is annoying.
