Following the directions on the TV screen made this the easiest receiver to setup and start using right away. It walk you through the whole process.

upgraded from an old thx onkyo and am very impressed with the sound quality even though the onkyo was much more expensive. the sound is so much more alive with the denon. its a downgrade in watts and specs but the sound is so sweet, i have no regrets. phone app is also convenient but will not always find receiver on the first try. now i just listen and enjoy instead of constantly tinkering with the sound controls trying to get good sound.. even fm stereo stations sound great. i cant explain why it sounds so good..

this has everything I needed and more. it has great sound and make the picture on my TV look amazing. Its a great buy.

Great receiver for my needs - I especially like the 8 HDMI inputs for future expansion. So far it is working GREAT!

It won't play 4K video as promised. I have 4K video sources attached to it and it gives an error message for every one of them. I've done all of the software updates to the unit as well to no avail.

I had this receiver for less than 30 days, had it connected to my home entertainment center with internet and all. Received a system update required message, and that was the end of it. I spent over 5 hours with their customers service and to no avail we could not make the update happen which renders the device useless. The silver light was that I purchased the extended GeekSquad Best Buy warranty and was able to trade it in for a real nice Sony model. What a nightmare with this system and the not so helpful tech support. Even the hard reset didn't work, we tried that over and over this I was about to throw it out the window.
