This is a Excellent/Awesome Home Theater Receiver. I will begin with the simplicity of set up with HDMI, the integration of bluetooth and wireless into the system. You can directly hook up to throw music from the internet, bluetooth or casting to the device. The onscreen menus are easy to navigate. I chose to set up most of my devices on the TV and then just run a HDMI to the receiver for sound. I had some minor issues and used an optical cable as well. Lots of room for expansion. It updated itself to new firmware after I had it set up. It will be both DOBLY Atmos and DTS:X compatible. Con: no Phono plug, so get a preamp. Pros: Too many to count. but I love the included microphone to calibrate your system. I have BOSE 901 and the preout for front speakers was a godsend. Wifi, casting, bluetooth, hdmi, Smart TV 4K compatible, Denon remote app for cellphone, Crazy AWESOMENESS

Had to replace an Onkyo receiver with this due to some faulty HDMI ports, and this thing is a night and day difference. The sound is amazing, and the 8 inputs (ALL with HDMI 2.0) are super handy. Can handle all of the devices I own, with no problems

Upgraded from an older Denon receiver in preparation for 4K. Easy setup and very accurate sound reproduction for my 5:1 Klipsch speaker system. Easy connection to Bluetooth and AirPlay. There is enough power to drive most modern speaker systems.

So this is only my second A/V receiver that I've ever bought. This brand came highly recommended from a friend who knows much more about them then I do. This also happens to be a magnolia receiver so I figured it had to be pretty good. It was a little much to figure out in the beginning but I'm getting more comfortable with everything. Currently only have this set up in 5.1 I do plan to run it in 5.1.2 when i find some atoms speakers to match mine. Im a huge gamer and that is what everything I do is geared towards. XB1, PS4 pro, and soon to be Nintendo Switch. First 2 run just fine and boy oh boy is 5.1 a treat compared to headphones or a soundbar!

This is an excellent unit with lots of versatility and plenty of power for the average home theater. Unfortunately it, like its Denon predecessor, interferes with the Cox Contour system causing it to reboot continuously. Neither Cox nor Geek squad have been able to solve this problem (after many hours of trying) and Denon were just not interested.

I have a modest surroundsound system, this receiver fits well in the cabinet, the sound is amazing, set up was very simple and easy. Much better than Harman Cardin is Tiny sound. Excellent receiver for the value

This unit is as pristine and feature-packed as they come at this price point. Denon has been a major player in the sound field for a long time and this unit shows their expertise. Very happy with purchase.

My son-in-law has had Denon equipment, but this is my first. This receiver does a great job, sounding good: excellent frequency response, easy set-up, and has functioned flawlessly.

Does everything more expensive models do. Denon just did update to support Dolby Vision and Log Gamma HDR. Basically the only differences now between this and the 2017 models or hiher models are the number of channels. This is 7.2 so it will do dolby atmos 5.2.2 which is fine for most setups. Supports pretty much every audio format. Setup was easy with included microphone and stand which allows receiver to adjust channel output levels and delays for best experience. Also does 4k (upscales are set to each individual input) and 3D. Like said, pretty much does it all.

Got on the cheap after CES with a price match (see below). Easy to setup in my home theater and has been fantastic to pull in Pandora from the receiver directly. Has eased my cable problems too with the HDMI's in/out. The price match process was a total mess. My credit card held the charge so after I cleared that I followed the Best Buy email instructions to complete but I didn't notice that the price had been altered to drop the price match. Awful process and shouldn't require several telephone calls from me to resolve. Fix this please, Best Buy.

Great receiver with lots of higher-end features for clearance price. Sounds great and higher-end Audessy does a much better job than the cheaper models for room correction. Returned a Marantz for this one and this one is WAY nicer for about the same cost on sale. Handles modern 4K, HDR, etc very well for all the newer devices. NIce clean sound. Mobile app can be slow to open and fussy to locate the receiver but once you do there is lots of flexibility for managing maine Zone and Zone 2 details.

I went back and forth between the Denon and a Yamaha Aventage. Current receiver is a Yamaha and I have had no complaints. However I recently purchased a 4K tv and 4K DVD player so needed something to handle them. The Magnolia folks at Best Buy were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The Denon was more, but a price match actually made it a little less, and it has more features. Glad I pulled the trigger. For a mid range receiver it's a great choice.

This was a very difficult purchase as I was replacing my 14 year old AVR-5803 and couldn't afford to go too high end this time. I'm very impressed with this Denon, it's not as powerful is I had, but for the money a great choice.
