Runs a 5.1.2 (Atmos fronts) setup in a challenging room without issue. The real benefit of the x1400h over Denon's s-series models is the included room correction and calibration software. x's have Audyssey XT, which is a step above the Audyssey MultiEQ that's supported by the s730h and s930h.

The receiver is great and I got it for a great price... however, it doesn't pass through Dolby Vision like it says it does. I have an LG 55B7A TV and Sony X700 player. I tried all the inputs on the receiver and different HDMI cables (all Certified Premium High Speed) in different lengths (3, 6 and 10 feet in length) and it does not display Dolby Vision content. The only workaround is connecting the player directly to the TV and then using a second HDMI cable from the player to the receiver to pass through the audio. So if Dolby Vision is important to you, you may want to look elsewhere. If not, it's a great player at a great price.

nice receiver however for and old guy setting it up was confusing..there are no knobs to set the bass and treble..everything is done via internet..bought a new set of klipsch speakers and used the old speakers for surround sound..sounds pretty good

I think this does the deed and is an upgrade over my old onkyo system. I've experienced an issue couple times when watching movies. It looks like the TV input on the receiver is not securely fit the HDMI cable so the picture gets static. If I unplug and reply, that seems to correct.

Only had the unit for 2 weeks but it seems to be working fine. A little concerned with integration to Comcast service, but not sure if issue is with receiver or Comcast yet.

Bought this unit on display. Salesperson was very helpful and explained how this product would meet all the needs that I was looking for. Product was on sale at a great price.

I have had many AV Receivers and this one is one of the best I have had. Has all the input i need and then some, as well as some extra outputs. Really happy that I could wire my outdoor speakers as well in a separate zone!
