This amp does exactly what I wanted it for. I use Amazon Echo's in my home and I wanted an amp that would be compatible with my Echo's so that I can play music from the Echo through that device..

Using the unit to tie multi platforms together, not always the easiest to do, but the unit works . For our purpose .

The receiver is great. Sounds awesome has excellent power and great functions. Set up process with the built-in automatic tuning system is simple and easy and worked fantastic. But the app to control it is horrible. They could learn a lesson from Yamaha for sure!

I bought this for a home theater/study area in a loft, roughly 15 feet wide, 20 feet long. The guided set-up was easy to follow and got the unit up and running quickly after the speakers and components were connected. The sound is good and I like the integration with wifi, Apple AirPlay, Pandora, the iOS remote control app as well as Alexa. For the prices, this receiver offers a good number of technology updates that work well in the house.
I had to return the original unit to Best Buy after about 3 days, when the network card on the receiver stopped working. They exchanged without issues and the new unit has been working for several weeks now.

This system is great! Replaced an old Sony unit that was not capable of 4K or HDR. Picture and sound is fantastic. The airplay integration is nice and easy. However, HEOS speakers cannot be used as Surround speakers, that information is a little difficult to find.

I returned my Onkyo I bought on Black friday for this since this one went on sale the Sunday after Black Friday for $30 more than I paid. This receiver may not have 7.2 but since I only use a 3.1 system it didn't matter to me because I could still take advantage of the HEOS part of the receiver which is Wireless speaker throughout the house. This receiver has an awesome user friendly set up and walks you through everything if you need to. I set up my speakers and calibrated them for my room and it sounds amazing much better than my yamaha I upgraded from. very clear. cant wait to watch a movie on it later today.

I was split between purchasing this or the Yamaha rx-v485. Both seemed to be very similar. Installation was very simple, however i run into an issue. Always check to make sure your main hdmi cord is functioning correctly. This would have saved me hours of time figuring out why i wasn’t getting picture. Works great with Alexa products and i enjoy the HEOS app.

Great AVR

Fantastic AVR. I looked around for three years before making a purchase. I'm glad I waited for the HEOS to come out with wifi. The sound quality is fairly decent and even. I am using a set of Energy tower speakers and 10 inch subwoofer. I believe the limitations of my room are affecting the sound stage and imaging. Sound quality is decent but not as rich and full as I expected. Previously I was using an Adcom amp. I believe I would benefit from an amp with more wattage to get the full experience. I love the bluetooth and wifi features. I can listen to Spotify and Amazon music via wifi which is super convenient and also listen to radio stations across the country via wifi livestream. It even has a TV display. I can turn it on and off with my cell phone too. It would be nice if they made it fully compatibly with the Google Home to turn it on and off and play livestream or playlists. However, with android the Samsung Smart Things will turn it on and off and play playlists via bluetooth which is nice. Love the features but would like more power for a richer sound and fuller sound stage and imaging. Excellent value for the money.

I got this receiver to replace an old Pioneer. It integrated perfectly with my new Samsung TV. I already had a set of surround speakers so this was the way to go. The receiver automatically comes on went I turn on the TV. The TV remote also controls the volume. The sound is great and setup is easy. It sure beat a sound bar.

The first Denon unit turned out to be defective and had to be swapped out. Among its problems, the internet connection failed and no one, not me and not the Geek Squad, could get it back, or the menu to allow access to make changes.
The replacement unit has been fine. Relative straightforward controls. Good sound on some broadcasts (especially Netflix presentations in 5.1). Decent phono sound, tho a bit of static electricity buzz is rearing its head. (Could be a turntable issue but this wasn't the case on an older Denon). Overall, tho, a good unit for the price.

So easy to use! This is an outstanding receiver. Looked and sounded great from the moment I plugged it in. Setting the unit up was simple and the sound is great. I am not into all the technical information about the unit. I just know it exceeds my need and expectations. I am a everyday user and this makes my audio and video experience much more enjoyable than my previous receiver. I would definitely buy Denon again and again.

Good sound. Excellent list of features. Difficult to use - minimal and inadequate instructions. Essentially one 'easy connection' guide in the package, the balance on line. Could be far better. I find it quite difficult to use. I have yet to manage sound from my TV. Other connections work OK, but convoluted logic to apply.

This receiver replaced an old Samsung. It was recommended by a tech guy doing some work at my house. All of the hook ups were very intuitive with the exception of connecting the TV antenna. It works very well with my external speaker system. I would recommend this receiver to those who want high quality at a reasonable cost.

I was looking for something new/actual which I got with my Denon. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, internet rádios, the airplay option it’s just amazing (you can play your songs an keep using you phone as a phone with no pauses in your songs, even in a call)
It’s powerful, it’s fancy, looks good, lightweight easy to set... no issues at all... (one week using it every day 12/23/18)

I use home automation software that can control the Denon AVRs via WiFi. This is the lowest end Denon AVR that does 5.1 and WiFi.
I really like how it works. The audissey EQ makes the sound great.
I think this is a bargain of an AVR for the price.
If you need more than 5.1 sound, this is not the one you want.

Not a guru at surround sound/Home theater to start with. Setup is really straight forward with audessey. I have had cheaper home theater kits but I have liked this reciever enough I actually went out and got a new real subwoofer. Actually look forward to getting better quality speakers now. Can't wait.

It's a great replacement for my Bose Lifestyle 35

My Lifestyle 35 Sub broke down completely so I eliminated the Sub & Amp and kept the Satelite speakers hoping I can still use it. I tried the Yamaha Amp first but it sounded like a tin can. It's an awful sound. Everyone is saying that the Bose Satelite speakers will not work with any other amp aside from Bose. Well, this proves them wrong. I gave the Denon AVR 750W a try and I was amazed it sounded great. I used the BIC America 12' 500W H100II Sub and it's a perfect match. I'm very happy with my purchase of Denon AVR 750W and the BIC America sub. Highly recommended especially if you want to reuse your existing Bose satelite speakers.

I picked up a Denon AV Amp in the UK not so long ago to replace my tired old Onkyo and even though the speakers it was hooked up were exactly the same, the new amp made a tremendous difference. Much more presence and focus in the sound - better low mids and 'prettier' sounding highs. Having recently bought a Yamaha package and being somewhat disappointed at not initially noticing the lack of HDR input and output (but worked around that by running Apple 4k direct to TV and then back to the amp), I simply couldn't resist when this model came up at a promotional price! Absolutely delighted with the step up in performance all round without breaking the bank - although you do need to tweak the stock HDMI settings to kickstart the 4k HDR goodness. My second Denon amp and I've no need to consider anything else in future.

This is a great receiver for what would be considered entry-level. Had always heard Denon was a good brand, and I'm not disappointed. Bought it on sale so I felt it was a pretty good deal. Easy to set up including connecting to my home wifi and also using the automatic speaker calibration. Solid build quality and excellent sound quality. Still tinkering with features and settings. Probably has more options than most people will use, including me.
