This is my first Denon product and I am very happy with it. The initial set up was easy. Sound quality is great. Ease of use is also great. I even set it up with an old Bose Acoustimas system which is out of the ordinary now a days, but it was not hard. Overall, so far, I am very pleased!

It hasn’t been long, but so far so good. Set up was very easy and I was able to optimize the surround sound with no trouble. So far everything sounds great. I do have to turn it up a bit between Blu-ray and media streaming, but the sound is good.

Great lil receiver. Good for small basement movie theater. Good 5 channel receiver. Has lots of good features that I probably won’t use like music streaming. Lots of hdmi inputs. Noting professional really. Standard output. Wired up 7.1 speakers 2 extra in parallel since most sound is only 5.1 anyway so

Purchased to replace old Yamaha system that did not support 4k or eARC. Additionally, overall sound quality much improved, even without replacing my current surround speakers. Setup is fairly easy and straight forward, including ODYSSY adjustments for room acoustics.

Just bought my second Denon AVR-S650H, one for my man-cave and the new one for the family room. Love the sound quality, even with my old speakers. Set was super easy and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Great product. Sound quality is amazing combined with the 4K tv I also purchased from you. The convenience of the HDMI ports is a huge help for connectivity of other devices. I know Denon products I previously owned a Denon turntable so I know there quality is held to a high standard.

We had been using my Sansui receiver (that I've used for 41 years) to run the sound out of our TV. The TV sound from this Denon AVR-S650H unit is great! We are really enjoying the surround sound effects from both OTA & streaming TV. But the radio is disappointing. Even with the AM and FM antennas configured correctly, FM stations come in a bit fuzzier than they did over the old analog Sansui, and AM reception is terrible. (I did not need any antenna on the Sansui to get good reception in the same location, with my receiver in a picture window on top of a hill facing the broadcast towers about 8 miles away.) So I will continue to use this for TV, but will be looking for another AM/FM solution.

Added this to a 5.1 setup in my basement. Needed a receiver that was stable at 4ohms and this thing really delivers for the price. The connectivity is robust and it’s super easy to stream from all of the major services through the Helios app. These S line receivers are an incredible value

This is a really good Receiver. I bought it to replace my old Yamaha 5.1 receiver and could feel the difference with the same set of speakers (Bose). The bluetooth and AirPlay 2 are really easy to use. It is very easy to setup and a great performance. Highly recommend.

I i stalled 2 of these for the quality of Denon a d the Heis ability. Heos is amazing. I can point and click and from my phone have my Pandora playing in 15 seconds. They are worth every penny.

I'm impressed with all of the features of the AV Receiver. I wish it came with a hardcopy manual, instead of online, as you really need to refer to the manual to understand how to use all those features. Once you do, you'll be pleased.

Spectacular sound and happily compatible with our existing speakers, although they are wired and not Bluetooth. Our young sales fellow was a charmer who did assure us that this was the case and happily it is all working wonderfully.

Upgraded from a 12 year old Pioneer reciever. The 4k video is of course a great improvement. The surround sound audio is perhaps the most significant improvement. Been in use for about a month and we are very pleased with it. Very easy to use.

Really easy to use features. Plenty of inputs for various components. Surround sound sounds fantastic paired with Klipsch speakers. HEOS app is really intuitive and easy to set up with most common music apps.

Great sound for elderly couple with hearing issues. Now we easily hear all sounds. Looks great entertainment console. Easy to operate. Easy to set up. Love the remote. Love it. Lots of power for surround spins speaker system.

We really like this receiver now. When we first got it we had an issue where it would stop the sound and video for around 15 seconds every 5-10 minutes. I had a hard time getting a hold of customer support mainly because of my schedule and they aren’t available the hours stated on the receiver book. I emailed them with no response. Finally I got a chance to talk with them and their response was to return it. I decided to leave it on and see what happened and it eventually stopped. That is the reason for the 4 rating. We definitely like the receiver and not it seems to be working great.

We bought this unit to take the place of an older Denon AV receiver. The older one had more ways to use zones and connect with home automation. This one has the connections one needs today, oodles of HDMI inputs, along with single composite and component inputs and the audio connections they would need. We hooked it to our cable box, smart TV, and BluRay player. One could add a modern game system or Fire stick as well. Except for the Sony smart tv acting uncooperative, integrating the receiver with our Harmony Hub has been easy. The setup process used the TV screen to configure and verify the speakers. It would have allowed using an included microphone to fine tune the audio to work with the speakers and the room, but I skipped that. We’re very pleased.

My 35 year-old Denon amp bit the dust so I thought I’d give the brand another chance. It did not disappoint. Set up is not as “easy” as some reviews claim but not a deal breaker. I had to figure out —after several reboots, re-tries, and some frustration— that my 40 mbps WiFi was not good enough to buffer the audio signal. There were annoying dropouts when streaming anything like Hulu or whatever. Troubleshooting in the manual suggested using Ethernet cables for this problem (instead of WiFi) and it worked. Flawless picture and sound. I just had to move my modem into the living room and hooked the cables up to that. No problem. The room “reading” mic is super cool too. Never seen anything like it. My old Klipsch speakers sound good as new!

Love this new receiver. Works great with Alexa and the Helos music streaming function. Super easy setup and some great new features over my prior Denon including vocal sound-enhancing for audio processing.

This receiver performed as we needed and was priced just right. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced powerhouse of a surround sound receiver.
