Got this recently to replace my long outdated RadioShack Sherwood 2 channel 100 watt amp I was using to listen to records. Right now I have two Tecnics home speakers with 12 inch subs , a pair of Sony bookshelf speakers as the rears, and a pair of Technics bookshelf speakers bridged to the center channel, a powered Polk audio sub. It sounds really good. Very low harmonic distortion. Surround sound for movies and Apple Airplay 2

Perfect replacement for a failing old receiver. Easy to set up. Audio level steps are perfect. Not too coarse or fine. Smartphone App is very handy. Denon could include a printed manual. I would prefer to be able to edit/add preset radio stations without having to use the on-TV-screen option. But once set they're a forget so not a big deal.

Nice unit. I have looked at Denon for a while and have a friend who has had a unit for 15 years with no problems. This replaced my Yamaha that finally died after about 8 years. The HDMI port stopped working so onto this. I do like the internet hook up and the WiFi is ok but sometimes drops but I have it cable connected. The sound is great and works well with both Polk, Sony and KLH speakers.

I can't find anything wrong with it. It's fantastic for the price. Paired with my Polk tower fronts, klipsch bookshelf rears, and a pioneer 100 watt sub. Too many features to mention them all. Anytime you move, change, add or remove speakers just run the auto-calibrate with the included mic and it'll give you perfect sound for your room. Can't imagine I'd need anything else for some time.

I bought this for a friend that wasn't too interested in quality but was in features. His 5 year old Denon Surround processor was dropping his sound often when using ARC. I thought that this receiver, with EARC would solve his problem. It did and he reported a big boost in sound quality, also. He wasn't interested in Dolby Atmos, which is the next step up in this receiver line.

What a huge difference this made! We actually traded DOWN from an older, much more expensive and more complex Denon, and we are happy we did! "One button to rule them all!" No more clicking on the wrong thing to get the tv and AVR on at the same time. The sound balance check was seamless, and engineer hubby was in his glory "playing!"

Nice A/V receiver for the money. There are a couple of things I don't like; There's no individual on/off control for the speakers; it's either surround sound or not. Had trouble balancing the output from the four speakers, but I think that's straightened out now as well. Their technical support seems to only be available while I'm at work and not on the weekends.

Crazy enough, I decided to buy a receiver for my bed room. After researching a lot, my mind was setup on this receiver. There were other receivers, that I liked from Sony and Pioneer. But all comparable models were sold out. This receiver works flawlessly with my LG TV through eARC and SimpliLink. Turntable, Blue-Ray and DVD player without any issue. I miss Chromecast support. But, thanks to eARC, casting YT Music to TV, is a workaround. Just 2 (100W) speakers fill up the room with great clarity. I would suggest use of high quality speakers. Receiver's 75W per channel delivery is good enough for a bed room. Soon, I will be upgrading to 5.2. Lets see how it works out.

Two weeks, so far, so good. Followed on screen setup, added my Roku, Fire (minor change to Fire setup) and DVD player to the HDMI inputs no problem, did audio setup using the system utility, and connected existing speakers. Take your time, it rewards with excellent sound and video quality. Looking forward to connecting a new subwoofer soon!
